After the green-haired guy interrupted us, he turned pale when he saw and lina, which made think that the scar had freaked him out, too.
"Sorry, man. I know the scar is a bit nasty. You can look away if it’s too much." I said to the guy.
However, his perplexion turned to annoyance as he crossed his arms and turned his head with disinterest.
"I just ca here to see if the princesses were ready to go to class," he said.
"Oh, I’m skipping the first period..." lina replied, surprising the green-haired guy.
"Are you sure you can do that? I got sothing to do, so it’s fine if you go to class." I said to lina, not wanting her to skip classes for .
"It’s fine. It will just be the first period. That class is super boring anyways..." lina replied.
Yuki and Eve left the room with the green-haired guy who I still didn’t know who he was, but I ca to the conclusion that he was a friend of the princesses.
’Probably a noble from another country?’ I thought as lina kept inspecting my scar.
"Ichiro, what did you get hit with?" she asked, her eyes focused on my wound.
I told her about the fight with Zagor in detail, about the weapon that he used with his magic nullifying power, and about the awakening I used to defeat him, thanks to Acalan’s blessing.
"Oh, right! You got a blessing!" she exclaid, using her "Inspect" spell on with curiosity.
"Ah, so it works like a skill..." lina comnted as she read my information and nodded affirmatively to herself.
Honestly, all I could do was just admire her beauty in silence, but then, I rembered the surge of energy I got in the middle of the fight against Zagor.
"By the way, l... Did you do sothing to send your MP? Or was that all just my imagination?" I asked, making her turn a little red as she widened her eyes and stared right at mine.
"I... Well..." she said a bit nervously.
lina told that when she saw the voice crystal shattering, she tried to co up with a way to help as she believed that I was in trouble.
I an, I WAS in danger. Right after the voice crystal broke, Zagor was about to bash my head against the ground with his weapon.
The princess said that the only thing she could co up with was sending her energy far away and making it locate at any cost, which ended up making her faint as it required a ridiculous amount of MP.
"l... You sent your energy traveling all across the continent..." I muttered, wholly impressed by the potency of the spell she used, making chuckle a little.
"Well... You saved my life, so thank you." I said with a bright smile, but lina didn’t say anything.
She simply got closer to my face and gave a gentle kiss on the cheek, which made flush like an actual kid.
"Any ti..." she whispered.
Suddenly, she stepped back again, breaking the tension as she rembered sothing that happened right after, explaining that she had t Asys.
"Oh! What did he say?" I asked, curious as to what my god-sibling wanted to say to lina.
It seed like lina’s magic knowledge had finally paid off, and Asys had recognized her as a Sage after having co up with her own intricate and powerful spells.
"Whoa! l, you are right! You are a Sage!" I exclaid excitedly, but the princess didn’t share the sa enthusiasm.
She believed that becoming a Sage made her stay at the academy even more worthless as she now held the sa title that the headmaster of the academy did.
She had a point, but her duty as a princess was to graduate from the academy anyway, so she was thinking of keeping her title a secret until graduation.
I didn’t think it would matter if people knew about it. What were they going to do? Ask her to leave the academy for being too good?
But that wasn’t what worried the princess. She was already sowhat alienated from the rest of her classmates and teachers since there was nothing for her to learn in her lessons, so adding the title of Sage on top of it would completely isolate her from them.
At least, that’s what she thought.
I told her that she could do whatever she wanted since I would support her anyway, but her first year at the academy was already coming to an end, so it’s not like she would have to endure it for much longer.
lina kept inspecting my wound for a little bit, and after realizing that it was impossible to restore it completely back to normal, she wrapped my torso with a new set of gauze.
"I gotta go to my next class. I’ve skipped it too much already..." she said, picking up a book from her desk.
"I understand. Go do your thing." I replied.
"What are you going to do?" lina asked as she passed my shirt and poncho.
"I told you. I need to do sothing real quick. I’ll tell you later, alright?"
"Hmmm, fine..." she said, looking a bit annoyed that I wasn’t telling her all of my plans.
We left the room together and made our way down the tower stairs onto the main hall of the academy, where we split ways.
I needed to talk to the headmaster, and even though I had never t him before, I thought that he wouldn’t mind if I paid him an unannounced visit.
lina’s magic was required at Kalusia, and now that she was a Sage, I couldn’t see a reason why the headmaster would want to keep her here. However, I also didn’t want her to just drop out of the academy since she needed to get the graduation certificate.
’I can probably co to an understanding with the guy...’ I thought as I walked toward his office.
