Following my fiery kick that broke one of the demon’s horns, the monster waved his arm and slapped mid-air to the side.

Thankfully, I was able to block it with my forearm and landed safely with my feet against the wall, using it to push myself back at him with my dagger in hand.

The demon chuckled the first ti I hurt him because he thought he would get to fight a powerful opponent, but that wasn’t the reality of his situation.

My plan was to kill the demon as fast as possible and free the beastkin, who were our real priority for going to the factory in the first place.

As I ca close to him again with my dagger raised, he coated his arm with demonic energy and blocked my strike, which surprised since my blade was made of mithril, which should have ignored any magic that made contact with it.

With no other arm to block, Gina took advantage of that brief second to appear right behind the demon and stabbed him in the back with her dagger before slicing upwards, opening a giant flesh wound on his rear.

The demon scread in pain as he arched his body while Gina stepped back and ran to my side, facing the monster.

"Hurt by re insects!" he exclaid indignantly as his demonic aura grew more prominent and intimidating.

However, Gina and I stood tall against the monster without flinching.

"Let’s end it," I muttered to the battle-maid as we both split to different sides of the room.

The demon, not knowing who to turn to, released a weak fire nova from his body that exploded and covered the entire underground room, wanting to destroy everything around him.

In that brief window of ti, I used lightning magic to run in front of the beastkin workers who were hiding in a corner and used fire magic to deflect the explosion away from them.

I got quite angry since I wasn’t expecting him to target the innocents on the sidelines, but I was fighting a demon, so it was sothing that I should have thought of from the very beginning.

I was so used to the lesser demons avoiding making contact with the beastkins that it didn’t cross my mind that a greater demon would act differently.

Nevertheless, Gina had used that mont to get closer to him and went for a strike on his neck, but before her blade could completely cut through, the demon stopped it midway with his bare hand.

Noticing that the demon wasn’t letting go of the dagger, Gina had to jump off without her weapon as the monster slowly removed the blade that was half stuck to his neck.

Thankfully, that was enough ti for to appear right beside the monster with my palms charged with lightning and struck him in the head, electrocuting him and burning his body.

The monster stumbled on his steps as his scorching body produced smoke from the lightning strike he had just received. Nonetheless, the demon wasn’t hitting the ground.

"Lord Zagor..." he muttered, taking one step forward towards .

"You’ll see him soon enough," I replied, taking out my mithril dagger and finishing the job that Gina started, severing the head of the monster completely and finally ending his life.

I let out a sigh as I picked up Gina’s dagger from the ground and watched how the demon’s body, which was still standing even after being decapitated, slowly turned to dust.

The workers that had been hiding in the corner approached us carefully, still not fully trusting us, so I took out so healing potions for them before we told them to co with us to treat their curses.

The courtyard and the rest of the factory had already been cleared of demons by Vespera and Yoru, and when we ca out from the underground rooms, they had all the freed beastkin standing in line to get treatnt from Vespera.

Lampart and Rio had taken care of the delivery carts, so I sent them to et with the empress’ army that was coming our way to inform them that we had taken the factory.

They returned two days later with the entire empress’ army behind them, and we decided to occupy the factory for so ti to keep strategizing our next moves.

The other two groups had reached the savannah, so the empress wanted to rge them and attack the capital with all of its forces at the sa ti.

Since we had to wait a few days for them to get to our location, I spent most of that ti cleansing black pearls and turning them into golden pearls. Of course, I also sent lina a huge crate for her to help out.

After a week of occupying the factory, the other two groups of the army arrived, giving us a total force of 150 thousand soldiers, counting the beastkin that had joined us during our campaign.

I t the prince of the Droman Empire, who was the empress’ little brother. His na was "Cedric Argentum," and he looked just like his sisters, sharing the sa blonde hair and scarlet eyes.

He was 23 years old and was known as one of the best swordsn in the empire after the empress.

Still, what truly struck by surprise was the small group that was traveling along with the prince and his army.

"Carli!?" I exclaid when I saw the half-lioness battle-maid.

Carli was the personal maid of lina, so of course, I was surprised to see her at the factory in the savannah.

It wasn’t only her either. All of the battle-maids that were working at the Sephyrs castle were present, but my surprise only kept growing when I saw King Leon standing behind them.

"Leon? W-what are you doing here?" I asked the king of the Sephyr Kingdom, but before he could reply, he introduced to soone else.

A beastkin who had leopard features stood beside him, wearing shiny armor and carrying two swords on his waist.

"This is King Dente, the ruler of Kalusia," Leon said.
