Gu Mang did not follow the school’s entourage. After packing her belongings and saying bye to her roommates, she left the dorm and t up with ng Jinyang and Qin Yaozhi, who were waiting outside for her. Qin Yaozhi was especially excited to see her. “Sister, you were so cool! Ahhh! You’re even cooler than Sheng Ting!”
ng Jinyang, on the other hand, was grinning from ear to ear, full of schadenfreude as she told her friend, “Gu Mang, you were so impressive that Sang Xue almost exploded in anger.”
This was the first ti Gu Mang had ever seen her so happy. Lifting an eyebrow in surprise, she asked, “Are you that happy about it?”
Qin Yaozhi responded, “Of course we are! You have no idea how alike Sang Xue and Gu Yin are! They’re both two-faced bitches! She was the one fanning the flas behind the scenes among the law students. She insinuated that you used performance-enhancing drugs.”
Gu Mang slung her arm around ng Jinyang’s shoulders and she hooked her friend’s chin with a finger. “Tell if you get bullied.”
“That won’t happen. I’m Brother Jiang’s student after all. Sang Xue won’t go that far,” replied ng Jinyang with a smile.
The trio then walked toward the office. The base seed much emptier now as the students were currently packing their things and preparing to return to campus. On the way to the office, they walked past a few instructors who could not resist sneaking glances at Gu Mang when they saw her. They could not believe that a female freshman had just set three new records at their base. The girls politely greeted the instructors and bade farewell to them.
When they arrived at the office, Jiang Shenyuan and Qin Rui were already there, so things were quite lively at the mont. The group of n were all waiting for the girls and when they finally saw them, they rose to their feet without any delay. Lu Chengzhou removed the backpack from his betrothed’s shoulders and held it for her.
Gu Mang turned her body slightly to look at ng Jinyang. “Are you staying with ?”
ng Jinyang shook her head, not wanting to skive since she was paid a salary. “I rented an apartnt. Plus, I have to report to Brother Jiang’s office for work tomorrow. I’ll go back to school after the three-day break.”
She, thus, turned to the lawyer and told him, “Help take care of her.”
“Don’t worry.” Jiang Shenyuan took ng Jinyuan’s backpack from her. “She can learn more things at my office.”

The group then headed to the parking area. Before getting in the car, Gu Mang rested her arm on the car door and told ng Jinyang, “Call if anything happens.”
ng Jinyang flashed her a reassuring smile. “Okay. Bye.”
It was only after ng Jinyang got into Jiang Shenyuan’s car that Gu Mang retracted her gaze. While Qin Yaozhi took her brother’s car, Qin Fang and He Yidu shared a ride with Gu Mang and Lu Chengzhou. The three cars went their separate ways when they arrived at the capital.
Back at the Lu Manor, Butler Lu, who was waiting at the entrance, bowed to them respectfully upon their arrival. “Young Master Lu, Miss Gu, Young Master Qin, Young Master He.”
In an unceremonious manner, Qin Fang asked, “Is dinner ready?”
“Yes,” answered the butler, who then turned to look at Gu Mang. “Miss Gu must be exhausted from the military training. Tonight’s dishes are your favorites.”
“Thank you,” replied Gu Mang politely.
The ntion of military training reminded Qin Fang of her glorious results. “Gu Mang broke the records for all three events, leaving everyone at the reserve base completely ashad and at loss for words.”
Miss Gu broke the base’s records? The butler was surprised to hear that. Even though the people at the reserve base could not be compared to those at Red Scorpion’s main base, they were all ultimately elites. When he got over his shock, he hurriedly said, “Congratulations, Miss Gu.”
When Gu Mang said nothing in response, Qin Fang looked at her and asked, “Sis-in-law, did you know that you broke our base’s records?”
“I don’t like breaking records,” she said simply.
Qin Fang failed to catch the aning of her words, though. “Pardon?”
While removing her duckbill cap, she slowly shifted her gaze toward him and curled her lips into a wicked grin. “I like setting records.”
Qin Fang nearly choked at her arrogance. Sure, you’re the boss. Whatever you say.
He Yidu, anwhile, shot his buddy a look of disdain while thinking, Why is this idiot always asking for humiliation?
Smiling, Lu Chengzhou looked down at Gu Mang and pinched the tip of her nose as he whispered to her, “Do you want to bathe or have dinner first?”
Holding her cap in hand, Gu Mang removed her shoes and replied, “Bathe.”
“Alright.” He nodded.
Qin Fang and He Yidu watched the couple go upstairs as if they were not there.
