Chapter 649: 649, Huanhuan, can you not leave?

She put down her phone, “Luoluo, what do you want to eat?”

“Pizza Hut!” Little Luoluo’s voice was lively. The ntion of good food lit up her eyes.

“Okay.”

Shi Huan thought that the little girl hasn’t eaten at Pizza Hut for a long ti and must be craving it. Surely it wouldn’t hurt to have it occasionally, right?

The mont they reached the front of Pizza Hut, Shi Huan dialed Tu Youran’s number again, and this ti the call went through.

“Auntie, I’ve picked up Little Luoluo from school. I’ll send her back after dinner.”

“Where are you?” Tu Youran asked.

Her voice was calm, betraying no emotion.

Shi Huan said, “Pizza Hut near the school.”

“Alright.”

After hanging up the phone, Little Luoluo’s soft voice sounded, “Huanhuan, did you tell mom that we’re going to Pizza Hut?”

“Hmm.”

“But if she knew, she wouldn’t be happy.”

Shi Huan looked at her, “It’s okay to have it once in a while.”

“…” Little Luoluo blinked her clear eyes, “But Huanhuan, mom has been getting angry a lot lately, I don’t like her.”

Shi Huan blinked.

“Mom doesn’t let use the phone, and she even threw away the phone you gave !” Little Luoluo continued her complaint, with a small sigh, “I wish, Huanhuan, that you were my mom.”

Shi Huan couldn’t help laughing.

She lifted her finger to stroke her pert little nose, “Alright, hurry up and get out of the car, otherwise your mom might not let you eat when she cos.”

Hearing this, Little Luoluo quickly unbuckled her seatbelt and dashed into the restaurant as soon as she got off the car.

She might miss out if she was slow!

Fortunately, Shi Huan had ordered a table full of tasty dishes, Little Luoluo ate until her belly bulged, and Tu Youran hadn’t arrived yet.

The young girl, pleased and content, sucked in two mouthfuls of orange juice, “Huanhuan, why haven’t you co to play with recently?”

Shi Huan used a tissue to wipe her oily little mouth, “Because I have to work and earn money.”

“Can you visit frequently in the future?”

“I may not be able to do so in the future, because I’m going abroad.”

Little Luoluo frowned, “Abroad?”

“Yes, I’m going to study in France, and I might not see Luoluo anymore.”

“What does that an?” Little Luoluo was so young, she didn’t understand many words.

Shi Huan explained, “I have applied to an undergraduate program and will be away for three years. If things go quickly, I can co back in two years.”

Little Luoluo bit her straw and fell silent, a dark cloud looming over her mood.

“What’s wrong, Luoluo?” Shi Huan looked at the little girl.

“Huanhuan, can you not go? I don’t want you to go!” Little Luoluo whimpered softly.

Shi Huan smiled, “I’m going to study, Luoluo. Three years will pass quickly. By the ti I co back, you’ll be eight years old.”

Little Luoluo pouted, “But I don’t want you to go.”

Just as Shi Huan was about to respond…

“Huanhuan.”

Shi Huan quickly raised her head.

Indeed, Tu Youran entered from outside, and the man beside her was Shi Minyan.

Both were dressed in business attire, the woman was mature and elegant, the man handso and gentle. Together they looked quite matched.

“Uncle, Auntie.” Shi Huan quickly stood up.

And Little Luoluo imdiately pushed the beverage in front of her and timidly stood up as well.

But Tu Youran smiled and said, “Have you finished eating so quickly?”

“Auntie, I’m sorry. I just thought that Luoluo hasn’t had Pizza Hut for a long ti, so…”

“It’s okay.” Tu Youran gently interrupted, “You also like Luoluo, I know this kid can’t resist temptation, I don’t bla you.”

Shi Huan bit her lip.

Tu Youran quickly spoke again, “Minyan, why don’t we just have sothing here?”

“Alright.”

The two sat down opposite them. After Tu Youran finished ordering, she began asking, “By the way, Huanhuan, did Yiming ask you to et?”

Hearing this, Shi Minyan’s eyes flickered.

“No, I’ve been quite busy lately.”

Wan Yiming indeed sent her a WeChat ssage to et up, but Shi Huan has been busy with handover matters recently, so her reply was slow.

After a couple of failed attempts, Wan Yiming stopped texting her. He seed to have noticed her cold attitude.

He retreated, which was a relief to Shi Huan. She was busy with the transition and preparing to study abroad, so she was spared the trouble of having to reject him.

Tu Youran laughed and said, “No matter how busy you are, you have to find ti for your personal life. Have you listened to Yiming’s show yet?”

Shi Huan shook her head.

“Yiming is now a DJ at a music radio station in Nancheng. His show cos on in the afternoon around 3 or 4 o’clock. You can listen if you have ti. He has a lot of fans, he’s kind of a celebrity in Nancheng…”

The server brought the als over quickly.

Shi Minyan was quietly eating. Shi Huan didn’t speak, and Little Luoluo was obediently quiet. Tu Youran was the only one who kept talking non-stop.

Suddenly.

“Tsk!” Tu Youran suddenly reached out and wiped the corner of Shi Minyan’s mouth with her hand, then sucked on her fingers with a very apparent sucking sound.

“Look at you, you’ve got food all over your face, just like Luoluo,” she said.

Shi Minyan frowned.

Noticing his reaction, Tu Youran looked embarrassed. “Sorry, Huanhuan, I… I’m just used to doing that at ho. I must have made a fool of myself.”

Shi Huan coughed and took a sip of her orange juice.

Shi Minyan picked up a napkin to wipe his mouth.

“You’re 32 years old and you still get food all over your mouth. Even Luoluo is more mature than you,” Tu Youran said, her voice saccharine sweet.

Shi Huan looked at the ti and couldn’t help speaking up. “Auntie and Uncle, you enjoy your al, I’m going ho.”

“Wait a second.” Tu Youran stopped her. “Your uncle and I are taking Luoluo to the movies later, do you want to co with us?”

Before Shi Huan could respond, she quickly added, “We’re watching a cartoon, though. Would you like that?”

“Since it’s a cartoon, I’ll pass,” Shi Huan politely declined.

Tu Youran laughed, “That’s the way it is with kids, everything has to be about them. I used to go shopping and enjoy romantic dinners and movies with your uncle, but not anymore. You’ll understand soday when you’re married and have your own children.”

Shi Huan’s smile was sowhat stiff. She picked up her bag and stood up, “Uncle, Auntie, I’ll be off then.”

“Okay, take care.”

When Shi Huan left, Shi Minyan turned to Tu Youran with a cold voice, “Youran, what were you doing just now?”

Tu Youran widened her beautiful eyes, “What do you an?”

“You were overly chatty.”

“…” Tu Youran looked at him, her fingers slowly tightening into a fist.

“Don’t do that anymore,” Shi Minyan added.

Tu Youran’s knuckles were turning white from her grip, but she still maintained a soft smile on her face, “Understood.”

That night.

After putting Little Luoluo to bed, Shi Minyan returned to the bedroom. He stood by the floor-to-ceiling window and lit a cigarette.

The room was silent.

The man’s gaze was deep, his countenance gloomy, until the sound of the bathroom door being opened broke the silence.

Tu Youran ca out, wearing a pure white silk nightgown, walked straight to the window, and wrapped her arms around the man from behind, “Minyan.”

Shi Minyan continued smoking, his dark eyes gazing out the window, seemingly ignoring her, showing no reaction.

Tu Youran laughed and reached out to touch him, but her wrist was caught and pulled away.

Shi Minyan turned to face her, his eyes showing clear signs of tiredness, “I’m tired.”

But Tu Youran took advantage of the situation and grasped his hand.

This ti, Shi Minyan directly turned his head away and his voice was filled with impatience.

“Youran, I said I’m tired.”

Tu Youran was upset, but she didn’t dare show it, she just pleaded, “Minyan, it’s been so long since you’ve touched .”

“I’m really tired, you go to bed first.” After saying that, Shi Minyan put out his cigarette and walked into the bathroom.

As the bathroom door closed, Tu Youran’s pretty face instantly turned cold.

Six years.

Shi Minyan was married to her, they shared the most intimate monts, and they treated each other respectfully in front of others, but the woman he loved most was Shi Huan. Only Shi Huan!

Every ti he saw Shi Huan, his mood was affected, the most apparent result being that he refused to touch her, regardless of her advances.

Tu Youran couldn’t understand. Shi Huan had been violated by an older man, then fell pregnant with his child, suffered a miscarriage, and endured a scandal…

She was already so tarnished, why couldn’t Shi Minyan let her go?

Under the harsh light of the overhead lamp, the woman’s eyes were brimming with a torrent of hatred.
