After lunch, Mo Weiyi lounged for a while on the sofa of the tea restaurant.
Around one in the afternoon, she returned to the law firm.

As he saw Mo Weiyi, he glanced at her and then quickly retracted his impassive gaze.

After all, it was the first ti such a young and beautiful girl appeared in the law firm, this place full of intrigue and office politics.

However, Mo Weiyi remained seated, her beautiful almond-shaped eyes trained on Lu Qingtian as she asked, “Isn’t there a reception desk in this law firm? Why do you want to make coffee?”
Upon hearing this, Yunyun was taken aback.
Not just her, Lu Qingtian and the others present in the eting room, were all sowhat stunned.
After all, it’s quite common for a newcor to do nial tasks like serving drinks and running errands in any workplace. But this new recruit…

Lu Chenyu kept her identity a secret, even Old Wang was oblivious and rely thought of her as a beautiful university student who was chosen due to her good looks.
While so naive assistants might be clueless, the majority, experienced veterans of the workplace, especially certain career won who had struggled their way up, felt envious seeing such a young and beautiful girl find such an easy entry into the law firm. This incident seed to fuel their resentnt.
Lu Qingtian pinched the bridge of his nose and placidly explained, “The receptionist was busy with her own tasks.”
Before Mo Weiyi could respond, Yunyun was pulling her out of the room.

In the pantry, Yunyun adopted a kindly tone while advising her, “Weiyi, Lu Qingtian is our law firm’s queen bee. Don’t you dare to offend her.”
“Queen bee?” Mo Weiyi chuckled.
“Yeah, just do whatever she asks you to. She’s quite nice and takes good care of us.”
“Really?” Mo Weiyi pouted, “But I’m an intern under Lu Chenyu. I don’t work for her.”
“Um…” Yunyun was at a loss for words.
Though technically Weiyi was right, wasn’t it normal for interns, who are at the bottom of the office hierarchy, to do nial tasks?
Just like how Yunyun started herself.
Looking at Mo Weiyi’s exquisite face, Yunyun decided not to waste ti explaining and instead taught her how to make the coffee.
Soon after, the coffee was ready, and they returned to the eting room with the pot.
Lu Chenyu had yet to return, and the eting hadn’t begun.
Yunyun swiftly grabbed Lu Qingtian’s cup, filled it with coffee and called for Weiyi.
Mo Weiyi turned her face towards her.
Yunyun signaled with her eyes and held the cup out for her.
Dejectedly, Mo Weiyi accepted the cup.

She walked over to Lu Qingtian, “Your coffee, Ms. Lu.”
“Just put it down.” Lu Qingtian hardly raised an eye.
Just as Mo Weiyi reached out to pass her the coffee without a second thought, Lu Qingtian suddenly rose from her seat.
“Careful!”
The warning ca too late from old Wang, but it hardly registered with Mo Weiyi as she felt scalding liquid splash onto her hands and the cup shatter on the floor.
Mo Weiyi yelped in pain, her eyes instantly filling up with tears. She was always terrified of pain, and the freshly brewed coffee was close to boiling point. It had hardly cooled down when an entire cup’s worth spilled onto both her hands.
The sudden accident had everyone in the eting room rushing over in concern.
Lu Qingtian quickly asked, “My god, did the coffee burn your skin?”
As Mo Weiyi bit her lip, her hands rapidly turned an alarming shade of red and even seed to be blistering…
Murmuring filled the room around her.
“How did it get so severe?”
“We should rush her to the hospital imdiately.”
“Maybe we should call the ergency line, it’ll be quicker.”
“Yunyun, how did you let this happen!” Lu Qingtian shouted.
Yunyun, clearly frightened, kept apologizing, “I’m sorry, Weiyi. Are you alright?”
“Her skin is even blistering, how can she be alright?” Lu Qingtian’s voice was remarkably stern.
“I didn’t do it on purpose.” Yunyun teared up, wishing she hadn’t asked Weiyi to deliver the coffee.
