Samantha started shivering when the possibility of David being the Grim Reaper stuck her.
"What happened, Sam? You alright?" Edwin held her shoulder and asked her.
"Hmm, I am fine" Samantha didn't share her thoughts with Edwin as she herself was not sure if her hypothesis was being right or all of this was just a coincidence.
"I just couldn't believe all these coincidences. Grim Reaper having a mutual friend with Chance, was sothing I could never dream of. If Chance ever finds out that an assassin is so near him, I am not sure how he will take it" Samantha voiced out her concern.
"Is his phobia that serious?" Edwin asked her.
Samantha nodded her head.
Edwin laughed after a few seconds.
"What is so funny?" Samantha glared at him, she was talking sothing serious and he was laughing as if he heard so joke.
"Sam, you are being worried about so mutual friend of Chance who is an assassin and Chance's reaction to it. But have you forgotten? His girlfriend is an assassin herself. Imagine how will he react when he finds out your truth" Edwin again laughed after making Samantha realize the key information she was overlooking.
This was sothing, which was always at the back of her mind. It was not wrong to say, she too fears it. But once Chance assured her, he loves her so much that he would continue to do so even if she kills soone.
Those words of his kept her going.
"That is my problem and I can handle it" Samantha coldly replied to Edwin, she didn't care explaining herself to him.
"Cool, don't be angry" Edwin tried to calm her down.
"So, what's your next plan?" Samantha asked him.
"As I told you, I will keep eting up with Carol's friends and will try to figure out who Grim Reaper is as he still doesn't know who I am. So, I am at an advantage right now" Edwin shared his plan with her, looking proud.
"I can't believe you are stooping so low" Samantha helplessly shook her head, looking at him with judgental eyes.
"Low?" Edwin was not sure what she ant.
"You are using Carol, to get what you want. Do you realize how heartbroken she would be when you will leave her? Also, how disgusted she might feel after knowing she dated her brother's murderer? Do you even realize what you are doing to her for your own selfish reasons? You killed her brother and now you are playing with her life. You disgust Ed" Samantha scolded him after sharing her real thoughts which she hesitated in sharing until now.
Edwin was quiet as he was now feeling ashad as his mistake was being pointed out.
"I know, I am being at fault here but I had to do this to protect myself" Edwin explained himself but he didn't look into her eyes as he was feeling ashad.
"Not just fault Ed, it is totally disgusting. You used cheap ways to kill Lucas and now you are playing with his sister. Look, I personally don't like that Carol but what you are doing to her, is so bad that even I couldn't help but feel bad for her" Samantha continued scolding him.
"Sam, I know I am doing wrong that's why I ensured I won't cross the line. I didn't even kiss her or"
"Ed, I don't want to know the details" Samantha awkwardly interrupted him as she was not interested in knowing the intimate details of their relationship.
"Got it but I promise you before breaking up with her I'll be an asshole, so that this break up won't hurt her" Edwin tried to assure Samantha.
"Yeah, then she would hate all the n in this world and would never dare to fall for anyone" Samantha pointed out the problem with his so-called solution.
"Sam, what should I do? You tell " Edwin helplessly asked her.
"Go underground, hide yourself from Grim Reaper" She softly shouted at him.
"I am not going to live under his fear, Sam. I will kill him" Edwin was not ready to listen to her and was determined to kill Grim Reaper.
Samantha tightly hugged Edwin as soon as he was done talking, she hugged him more tighter and tears rolled from her eyes.
"Sam, what happened?" Edwin was confused at her sudden actions.
"I am having a bad feeling, Edwin. It feels like, this is the last ti I am seeing you" Samantha frankly said between her sobs.
Edwin was taken aback, as he didn't expect Samantha to say sothing so terrible.
He held her shoulder and gently pushed her. Still holding her shoulder, he asked, "Sam, are you serious? You are saying I am going to die soon?" He was agitated with her opinion.
"The way you are acting, yes. I think you won't be able to make it. You killed Lucas, who is Grim Reaper's close friend. Now, you are playing with Lucas' sister's feelings. Grim Reaper is going to kill you Edwin and he is going to give you the worst ending possible. I can feel it" Samantha voiced her opinion.
"Samantha, if you can't be supportive, that's fine. Don't be so pessimistic. Maybe I am going to give the worst ending possible to Grim Reaper" Edwin smirked at her.
"Sure, I will wait for your call. Do give the good news, but I don't think you will" Samantha said.
Edwin rolled his eyes at her and they headed to the donut place to buy so donuts as they need to go back and continue their acting.
Edwin and Samantha quickly bought a box with multiple flavours of donuts and waited for Jack at the decided location. In a minute, he too joined them and the three people headed back ho.
At ho, Chance and David were seriously waiting for Edward. David was anxious and he was hiding his hand in his pants pocket as they were shivering uncontrollably, while Chance was very calm, not normal calm but dangerously calm.
The three won were still at the gallery where Carol was informing them of her problem. She told the girls that Edward still didn't make a move on her and didn't even initiate a kiss.
So, Mia and Abigail were advising her to make a move on him instead. They were suggesting ways on what she should do as she was still in the early stage of her relationship.
Carol was way too inexperienced when it ca to such things.
She never even had her first kiss, so it was a bit scary and uncomfortable for her to initiate intimacy but yet she quietly heard Mia and Abigail's suggestions.
Chance and David didn't care about the three won and were in the living room as they were stressed about this new unexpected problem they encountered.
"Chance, why are they not yet back?" David nervously asked him.
"Calm down. As long as he doesn't know that we know the truth, everything will be alright." Chance calmly said but he was lost in his deep thoughts, he was trying to figure out why Brimstone is here and why is he playing with Carol's feelings.
'That bastard killed Lucas and now he is playing with his sister. I have to kill him as soon as possible. I can't let Lucas be disappointed.' Chance covered his face with his hands and leaned forward in frustration.
"Chance, you alright?" Mia, who just entered the living room asked him as she could see how stressed Chance is.
"Or are you missing your girlfriend so much, that you are stressed?" Abigail made fun of him.
"When did they go?" David asked the sa question for the nth ti.
"David, around forty minutes ago they left. You have been asking the sa question again and again" Mia rolled her eyes.
Just then the door bell rang and David ran towards the door.
Chance helplessly sighed and only hoped for David to control himself.
Fifty minutes ago
Chance and David entered David's study room.
"Finally, we are going to see the face of the man who was behind Lucas' death" David said, his voice mixed with anger and excitent.
Excited as he would be finally looking at the man who killed his best friend and angry as he hates this man to the core for killing one of the most important n in his life.
"I am impressed you waited for " Chance was surprised that David didn't go through the information he already has and controlled himself. He could imagine, how difficult it must have been for David.
"Obviously, you are the one who will end him and it is all your efforts that we were able to find out who actually killed Lucas. We need to look at this asshole's face together." David had an evil smug on his face.
On his laptop he opened the folder which had all the information he needed.
Chance sat next to David, and they read a few things about Edwin and finally when they clicked on his image to see how this bastard looks like, both the n went into a state of shock.
