Bill was not very surprised, "Hmm, I put my everything on line and yet I was not able to trace him" Bill shared.
"Yeah, it was my adopted father who apparently helped him go underground. They were friends I guess" Chance didn't intend to hide anything from Bill. He therefore told him the truth.
"Oh, are you going to use your adopted father's na to win Excalibur's trust and then catch him?" Bill already predicted what might have been on Chance's mind.
"Wow sir, you are brilliant. Pure genius you are. You are so"
"Stop praising please" Bill interrupted David and seriously looked at Chance.
"Are you fine with ruining your dad's friendship?"
"Hmm, maybe my dad never knew his friend's actual face. Anyway, it is not my problem. My dad never expected to take his relations forward, he always let make my own decisions." Chance didn't explain himself more, he didn't wish to tell Bill that he was doing this for Samantha as Excalibur might have ended up killing her too.
He can't let anyone who wishes to kill his woman be alive. He will ensure to swipe this person's existence from the world.
"But I don't wish for you to do sothing that you might regret for my and Sam's sake" Bill shared with him.
"Don't worry sir, I thought it through before making this decision" Chance firmly announced his decision.
Bill knows the reputation of Grim Reaper, if he once decides on sothing, no one can convince him other way round.
"Thank you, Chance." Bill expressed his gratitude towards Chance as he had been desperately trying to find his wife's murderer and now his future son-in-law too is helping him in this fight, he was grateful to join hands with soone so reliable.
Also, Bill was now relieved about Samantha's future as Chance was soone he could entrust her with.
For David's sake, Bill shared so of the stories of how he uniquely killed multiple people using normal daily objects.
Chance and David listened to all the stories with full attention and they could feel shivers pass through them when they heard of a few stories.
While conversing, the two n prepared the food and the three n settled on the dining table to indulge themselves in it.
Bill again couldn't help but praise Chance's cooking, which was aweso.
"Sir, I made this side dish, end to end" David passed what he cooked to Bill.
Bill chuckled seeing his actions, he accepted this dish and it indeed was very tasty.
"Wow David, your cooking is at par with Chance's" Bill praised him making David's day.
He scoffed at Chance, "I can be a better cook than you, if I practice well"
"Sure" Chance agreed with him and he looked at Bill with a grateful expression, as he knows how much it would an to David, getting praised by The Exterminator like this.
The three n had a hearty lunch and it was ti for Chance and David to leave as David's flight was in a few hours and they need to go back to the hotel.
Before leaving, Chance gathered the courage to inform Bill of sothing that he had been scared to tell him since he t him.
"Sir, since last night, I and Samantha started dating each other" Chance announced to Bill surprising David too.
David had his doubts but he didn't expect them to already date.
He glared at Chance, "Wow you didn't tell this last night when I felt sothing was wrong"
"Yeah, I thought to inform you two together." Chance looked at Bill, who looked calm.
Chance was not sure what else to say now.
"Is she happy?" Bill asked and Chance nodded his head.
"Good"
"That's it?" David looked at Bill in surprise.
"What else you want to hear?" Bill sarcastically asked David.
"Sir, you should beat him up for dating your daughter, you should warn him to never hurt her, etc." David tried to enlighten Bill on the things he should do.
"No need, I am just glad she is finally with soone" Bill said in a hoarse voice.
David, who had no idea of Sam's childhood did not understand it but he kept quiet.
"I am glad, you are fine with it" Chance casually said.
"How can I not be? But I am just worried what she will do to you when she finds out you are the Grim Reaper, the man she hates the most" Bill smirked at him as he couldn't imagine Chance's state in future.
"Don't worry, I'll try to nd my professional relationship with her" Although Chance said this confidently, he himself was not sure if he can really nd it.
"Now you really regret troubling her two years ago, right?" David teased him.
"Yeah, I thought Danger-Ace killed my target to provoke , but I had no idea that there was a mix up and it was your fault" Chance glared at David.
"Chance, I apologized to you so many tis, please forget that incident and move on"
"Yeah, he can but Samantha won't" Bill laughed at Chance.
"I'll make up for my actions" Chance promised them but they were sure, the day Samantha finds out the truth, Chance would be going through hell.
After bidding adieu to Bill, Chance and David left for the hotel.
Chance spent so more ti with all his friends, then he dropped them all at the airport as it was ti for them to leave.
At the airport before going in, Mia, Abigail and Jack talked to Chance in private.
"Chance, we are very sorry for not being supportive when we ca here." Abigail apologized to him.
"After spending ti with Samantha, we could feel you two are perfect for each other." Mia added.
"Yeah, I am glad we asked Samantha, to accompany us, we had a good ti with her and that dish she made" Jack recollected that dish and his mouth turned watery, the sa was the case with Mia and Abigail.
Chance laughed seeing their faces, "Next ti when you guys will co here, for lunch, breakfast and dinner, we will prepare that dish only"
"'WE' hmm, interesting." Mia teased Chance who just smiled and didn't inform them of him and Samantha already dating.
They all then bid adieu to him and left for New York.
Chance headed back ho.
After Chance left his ho, Bill went over to the florist shop of Samantha.
Just like he expected, she was there.
Samantha was surprised to see Bill there, "Andy told you already bought the flowers" She said.
"Hmm, you were not here at that ti" Bill replied.
"Yeah, after coming from that trip, I was tired, so I rested for so ti at ho. I ca here just a few minutes back and sent Andy away" She explained.
"Hmm" Bill just nodded his head.
"Dad" Samantha softly called him.
"Yes, dear?" Bill was sure she would tell him about her dating Chance.
"Actually umm, sothing happened on this trip" Samantha was clearly hesitating in telling him the truth.
Bill smiled seeing here discomfort, "Whatever it is, just tell . There is nothing you need to hide from " He tried to motivate her.
"Dad, as I told you I am in love with Chance, so I" She again trailed off.
No one would believe she is an assassin if they would see her state right now.
"You confessed?" Bill calmly asked and Samantha nodded her head, closing her eyes.
"What did he say?"
"He obviously accepted" Samantha's eyes were still closed.
Bill smiled seeing his daughter acting shy, he was glad she was showing emotions.
"So, are you two dating each other?" Bill tried to act normal and pretend like he doesn't know about it.
"Yes, dad" Samantha finally opened her eyes and what ca into her sight was her father's smiling face.
"I am so happy for you two Samantha" Bill hugged her and she too hugged him back.
"It's so hard talking with you about such stuff" She said and he chuckled.
"In monts like these, you can think of as Sarah" He patted her back.
Samantha smiled, "Your moustache doesn't let "
The two people laughed.
Then Samantha told him how she told Chance of having a father but didn't tell him, that Bill is her father.
"Oh, why did you do that?" Bill acted worried but in real he wasn't as Chance already knew the truth.
"Because you are very important to dad and I want Chance to respect you well" Samantha explained.
"Sure, then tonight invite him to Offside restaurant. There we can reveal the truth to him." Bill suggested and she agreed with him.
"Also, please stick to this fake story" She reminded him the story she shared with him just now.
"Of course." Bill kissed her forehead and was about to leave when she asked him, "Dad, you were here to discuss sothing, what was it?"
