My Whole Class Isekai'd to a Xianxia? Good Thing I Can Do Mind-reading Chapter 271: Mission: Impossible
Once again atop the Suppression Relic, this ti with Mao Shun and Dong Tao by his side, Feng Fan resud his journey toward the White Crow Sect.
"Brother Feng, thank you for rescuing us," Mao Shun said, cupping his hands and bowing politely, gratitude evident in his eyes.
"Thank you, Brother Feng…" Dong Tao added, though his voice carried a hint of lancholy.
It was understandable—most of his family had either been captured or killed. Despite not always being treated kindly, Dong Tao still considered them his family. They had raised him, helped him grow, and cared for him throughout his life. Not everyone had mistreated him.
Feng Fan offered a reassuring nod. "No problem. I'm heading to a safe place where we can discuss things properly. Elder Jiang found sothing that might help us turn the tide of this war."
"What?! Impossible!" Dong Tao's eyes widened with hope, and he couldn't hide the desperation in his voice. "Please, Brother Feng, tell us!"
As soone whose family had fought against the Shen Empire for generations, Dong Tao's hatred ran deep. His parents had both died in the sa war, making the desire for vengeance burn fiercely within him.
But Feng Fan remained silent, refusing to divulge more just yet. Before long, they arrived at the White Crow Sect. As they descended underground, Mao Shun, Dong Tao, and Elder Jiang were left speechless by Feng Fan's ingenuity.
"Incredible!" Dong Tao exclaid. "You hid the entire sect underground and placed illusion arrays on top. The Shen Empire will never find us here!" He couldn't help but admire Feng Fan's ticulous work, his eyes sparkling with awe.
"My god, why is the spiritual qi density here so high?" Mao Shun murmured, taking a deep breath as the rich energy filled his lungs. "It's even higher than at the Dao Seeking School, and not by a small margin!" His face was a blend of astonishnt and joy.
A smug smile crept onto Feng Fan's face, but he maintained a calm and humble deanor, accepting the praise in silence.
Elder Jiang finally understood why Feng Fan was confident about regaining his life force. With such a high density of spiritual qi, breaking through to the next realm within a few months seed almost guaranteed.
If he couldn't manage that, he might as well bang his head against a wall and give up cultivation altogether.
However, cultivation could wait. Elder Jiang knew that ti was of the essence, and he quickly called for a eting with the elders and the sect master of the White Crow Sect.
When Yin Jian, the sect master, saw Elder Jiang alive and well, his heart filled with relief.
"Elder Jiang, I'm so glad you're alive," Yin Jian said, his voice slightly trembling with emotion. Elder Jiang had been his friend since they had joined the sect as re disciples. The thought of losing such a long-ti companion had weighed heavily on him, and seeing him return brought a wave of warmth and happiness.
He glanced at Feng Fan with deep appreciation, his faint smile conveying his gratitude without words. Feng Fan nodded in response, silently acknowledging the unspoken thanks.
Elder Jiang didn't waste ti with pleasantries and quickly relayed all the information he had shared with Feng Fan earlier. The reactions from the gathered elders and disciples mirrored Feng Fan's own when he had first heard it—shock, disbelief, and a heavy sense of despair.
"This… Elder Jiang, this information is indeed precious," Yin Jian said, his voice tinged with anxiety. "But… it's impossible to even get close to where they're being held, let alone rescue them."
"Calm down, Sect Master. I already have a plan," Feng Fan announced with a confident, almost smug smile.
"A plan?" Those around him exchanged doubtful glances, skepticism etched on their faces.
"I will break through to the tier 9 Array Master level and rescue them!" Feng Fan declared, his voice unwavering and filled with conviction.
His words struck like a bolt of lightning, almost making a few of the elders cough up blood from shock. They looked at him as if he had just claid he would ascend to the Immortal World tomorrow.
"Feng Fan," Elder Duan spoke up, his tone worried, "I don't want to throw cold water on your enthusiasm, but that's the sa as not having any plan at all…" He shook his head, a weary sigh escaping his lips.
Elder Duan had recently returned to the White Crow Sect with Su Xiaoli's mother.
"I've never heard of anyone breaking through to the tier 9 Array Master level. All those who accomplished such a feat did so in the Immortal World. Even with your talent…"
But Feng Fan didn't let his master's words sway him. He interrupted with unwavering determination. "Don't worry, Master. Just believe in . Focus on cultivating here in peace while I take care of everything."
Elder Duan looked at his disciple with a complicated expression. He admired Feng Fan's resolve, but the boy's ambition seed too far-fetched even for soone as talented as him. Eventually, he let out another sigh. "Even if we wanted to do sothing else, there's nothing more we can do at this point."
Feng Fan nodded and then turned to Mao Shun, who was standing next to him. "Brother Mao, do you still have your token to access the Dao Seeking School? I want to go there and search for books about tier 8 and, if they exist, tier 9 arrays."
Mao Shun hesitated for a mont before taking out a small token and tossing it to Feng Fan. "The Dao Seeking School has already fallen to the Shen Empire. I'm not sure if it will be of any use, but here it is, Brother Feng."
"It's fine," Feng Fan said, catching the token. "I'll see what I find when I get there. We're running out of ti, so I'll be on my way."
As Feng Fan turned to leave, Dong Tao suddenly stepped forward, his eyes brightening as if recalling sothing crucial. "Wait, Brother Feng! If it's knowledge you're after, I might be able to help you."
Feng Fan's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Oh? You have sothing useful?"
