At that mont.
On the island.
Han Bing walked for a while when various sized pits, clearly created by explosives, appeared in front of her.
Not far away, so construction materials and steel rebar cent were stacked.
"Hey, didn't you say that speedboat belongs to your company? Why aren't you taking it back? What are you following for?"
When Han Bing noticed Qin Yu was still behind her, she spun around and said icily.
"This little island has so pretty scenery; I'm going to take a few photos, that's not illegal, right?"
As Qin Yu spoke, he took out his phone and began taking photos of the sea horizon.
"Hmph...."
Han Bing snorted coldly and didn't bother with Qin Yu anymore, striding forward with her long legs to search for any trace of Ma Taishan.
The small island was about ten square kiloters in size, roughly as large as a typical park.
In less than an hour, Han Bing had scoured the island without seeing so much as a hair of a person.
On her return, seeing Qin Yu still playing with his phone sitting on a large rock, she unleashed her anger on him, "You must be in cahoots with Ma Taishan. If you hadn't wasted my ti, I would have caught him before he even set foot on the island!"
"If I were really with him, you wouldn't be standing here all safe and sound. A stab in the back, chopping you up into big pieces, and feeding you to the sharks would have been the end of you!"
Qin Yu shrugged indifferently.
"Hmph, if I find out that you're involved in this, I won't let you off the hook!"
Han Bing glared at Qin Yu fiercely and took out her phone to call her subordinates to co pick her up in a helicopter.
"Yes, on a deserted island more than a hundred kiloters from the harbor. You can locate my phone signal!"
After contacting her subordinates, Han Bing looked at the sinking sunset and crossed her arms, obviously bored.
It would take her subordinates about an hour to get there from the city. Read exclusive adventures at My Virtual Library Empire
"Hmm?"
Han Bing, who was quite annoyed with Qin Yu's presence, suddenly had an idea and asked deliberately, "How are you planning to get back later?"
"Oh, I'll take the speedboat!"
Qin Yu didn't think much of it.
He planned to wait until the helicopter from the Seventh Division arrived before taking the speedboat back to the harbor.
"And what if the speedboat is out of fuel?"
Han Bing blinked, her voice filled with malice.
"What do you an by that?"
Qin Yu furrowed his brow.
"As far as I know, the water level rises at night here and can pretty much subrge the island. If the speedboat is out of fuel, you'll have to spend the night on the island. If you don't want to drown, beg ; I'll take you back to the city!"
Han Bing spoke with a hook in her smile, appearing sowhat triumphant.
"I'd swim back before I'd beg you!"
Qin Yu said with irritation.
He then walked toward the shore to check if the yacht actually had fuel.
However, when he got there, where was the yacht? It had been taken away without anyone noticing.
Damn it...
Did he really have to beg that Han Bing?
Qin Yu felt extrely vexed; claiming he would swim back was just a joke—over a hundred kiloters, who could possibly have the stamina for it?
"Hey, where's your company's yacht? Did it grow wings and fly away?"
Han Bing erged from the woods, her face displaying schadenfreude.
"Don't be too happy just yet. Ma Taishan disappeared as soon as he landed on the island, and the yacht was taken. Don't you find that a bit strange?"
Qin Yu's brow furrowed, feeling that rather than fleeing, it seed more like Ma Taishan had led him and Han Bing onto this deserted island.
```
What exactly does he want to do?
"Is there anything out of the ordinary? My n are about to co pick up, you think so monster is going to pop out of the island and eat ? As for you, just think about how it feels to be soaked in seawater all night long!"
Han Bing raised an eyebrow, feeling sowhat tired from walking around the island for so long, and plopped down on the beach.
"Splash...."
At that mont, sothing stirred the water, making noise.
"There couldn't be sharks, could there?"
Qin Yu took a few steps back but then thought it was unlikely, as sharks usually lived in the deep sea, and it was rare for them to appear on shallow banks.
"Oh, I really thought you were afraid of nothing, but it turns out you're just a coward!"
Han Bing, for so reason, was irritated with Qin Yu and didn't miss any opportunity to mock him.
"You're amazing, you think you could kill a shark with one punch? Big and dumb!"
Qin Yu couldn't help but retort.
Her position as the head of the seventh departnt had to be questionable; it definitely wasn't attained through her own capabilities.
A grown shark can weigh up to tens of thousands of pounds, capable of overturning a cruise ship. Even if both of them were martial artists, in front of sharks, the so-called kings of the sea, they were nothing but sprouts, a single bite would finish either one off.
"You...."
"Splash, splash...."
Han Bing, infuriated by Qin Yu, clenched her fist, preparing to teach Qin Yu a lesson, when the sound of the water being stirred beca even more distinct.
"Damn...."
Qin Yu took a close look and his eyes widened in shock.
A dark head erged from the water, resembling a half-subrged log with two eyes the size of fists, flickering with a cold, bloodthirsty light.
"How is that possible, a crocodile in the sea?"
Han Bing also stood up in surprise.
"Estuarine crocodiles, also known as saltwater crocodiles or man-eating crocodiles, live in shallow coastal waters. We're near a harbor here, connected to inland rivers; it's not really the open sea, so it's quite normal for estuarine crocodiles to live here!"
Qin Yu explained with a frown.
He had encountered these crocodiles by the sea during his ti in the special forces and had learned that there are a total of 23 species of crocodiles.
Most of them live in freshwater, but there are also more than six species that live where saltwater and freshwater mix.
This includes the saltwater crocodile, which is much larger than the average crocodile, with adults reaching six to seven ters in length and nearly two thousand pounds in weight.
"I... find this completely abnormal!"
Han Bing's face turned incredibly pale.
Because in addition to the one crocodile that had surfaced, a dozen more dark heads popped up one after another.
Staring unblinkingly at the two people on the beach, they seed very interested.
"Damn it!"
As Qin Yu spoke, his back was turned to the sea, and when he turned around, he was faced with so many new appearances.
"It seems this was Ma Taishan's plan, luring us to a deserted island and using crocodiles to finish us off! Quick, to the center of the island!"
After saying that, Qin Yu strode towards the interior of the island.
There were piles of steel reinforcent bars there, which could be used as weapons. It was certainly better than fighting saltwater crocodiles barehanded, wasn't it?
"They've got so nerve to even dare touch ,"
Han Bing said angrily, clenching her fist, biting her teeth, and touching the gun on her waist. But she reckoned that the seven or eight bullets wouldn't even finish off one saltwater crocodile, so she also quickly made her way toward the center of the island, flicking her ponytail as she went.
"Roar...."
These estuarine crocodiles were reared by the Living Yama in the shallow sea for the purpose of attracting tourists to the resort after it was built, by constructing glass walkways overhead for close viewing of the creatures.
Little did they know, the crocodiles would be prematurely put to use.
More than a dozen huge estuarine crocodiles, after letting out a roar, dragged their long tails and chased after Han Bing.
