It didn't take long for the town of Slough to be thrown into chaos. Small-ti gangs with as few as fifteen or so mbers had joined in the hunt. However, in these towns, there were often multiple gangs.
In total, there were at least thirty different gangs that had entered, and they were causing a ss everywhere they went. Entering buildings, entering factories, mbers would attack the machinery, they would attack the equipnt, even hurting civilians in places.
It had beco quite apparent that attacking the local people seed to do the trick, as that's when the mbers would co and fight back.
A swing of a baseball bat, and one of the mbers had ducked underneath it, and slamd a fist right into the other's face.
"We are the Howlers Gang, and we aren't just so pieces of crap that don't know how to fight!"
The Howlers were putting up a good resistance to these no-na gangs. They had been trained by Crowley for over a year and had been using everything in their arsenal to fight back.
It was clear that those who were attacking didn't expect this either, and not only that, but so of the n, the general public that had been hit, were picking up anything they could to fight back as well.
Picking up machinery work and hurling it at their attackers. "The Howlers have protected us! They've helped us out and are protecting us now; we need to do the sa!"
The ssage that Kai had sent out was slowly going around, and it had turned from the Howlers mbers to anyone who wished to stay safe; they needed to head to Cipen and Burnham Food street.
At the mont, Kai was practically traveling in one of the cars on his own while having a different driver than usual.
"I have dispatched the other mbers to go and help deal with the problems wherever they can. Since it isn't the Phoenix Gang that is attacking us. They should all be okay to deal with situations on their own," Kai said to himself.
In the past, he would have had to worry about Marie, but now with her being a werewolf, she could inflict quite a bit of damage. On top of that, the Howlers also now had many Altered among their ranks that they had purchased solutions for.
These attackers were surely going to be in for a surprise. 'What I'm worried about is after this. It's clear that they're wearing us down, doing whatever they can… it's the next attack. I've failed to look ahead at what they're planning to do, and all I've been able to do so far is react.'
At the mont, it was the best thing they could do. Kai had contacted all of the hotels in Cipen, telling them to allow the local people of Slough in from other areas. They were also to set up extra spaces and beds for those who were worried about what was going to happen.
If they didn't want to leave their ho, then they were encouraged to lock the doors and stay inside, to halt going out for work or groceries of the sorts while all of this chaos was going on. 'I need to think, think of a way to get back at them!'
Just then while driving along, through the window, Kai could see fighting that was going on taking place. It was outside of a park; the mbers of the Howlers were bloody, having been cut up by knives and other equipnt.
At the sa ti, they had put up a good fight, having taken out a few of the attackers, but they were surrounded by a group of thirty or so.
"Give that sweet, sweet money!" A large man said as he swung a chain around rapidly and swung it right toward a Howlers mber's face. It was heavy and made of tal. It was sure to break a few teeth if not kill the person.
As the chain swung out, a hand was lifted up and grabbed onto it. "What is this!" Kai shouted, and pulled on the chain, as he did, the man flung toward him and with a fist, Kai smashed his face until all of his teeth were dislodged from his mouth, and he fell to the floor.
Not wasting any ti, Kai then transford both of his hands into claws, and he ran between all of them; he didn't hesitate as he went and slashed his hand right at their neck. His sharp claws and nails cutting through, causing them to bleed and fall to the ground as if a sword had cut them through.
"Is it really worth it?" Kai stated. "Are you guys really willing to risk your life over aningless money, just for a small payday?"
Just as he said those words, a transford Altered that had the appearance of a Rat had jumped from behind. Imdiately though, Kai moved to the side, and the strike had completely missed him.
He then grabbed onto the Rat Altered behind, and with his muscular strength pushed at the side so the back of his neck was wide open. His mouth started to transform, and Kai ripped through flesh, pulling it out and spitting it to the side.
He then lifted the Rat Altered's body and slamd it onto the ground before stomping it with his foot.
Right now, he was fighting like a wild beast. His anger, it had been growing since the start of all of this ss that was going on, and the more hopeless he felt, the more it was all turning into anger for him.
"I think I've found a way, a way to get back at you. If you're going to use others to aid you in this fight, then we will just have to do the sa, it's the only way we can win this!" Kai said as he pulled out his phone, making contact with soone he hadn't done so in a long while.
