One of the powers that Austin possessed, was one that allowed him to gather more strength than almost anyone else, his ability to open a portal leading to a strange, empty dinsion. It was a place unlike anything in the real world, a space that existed solely for him, and one he had learned to use to his advantage. Whenever he stepped into it, he found himself on a clear, straight, endless path. There were no obstacles, no turns, no distractions. Just a long stretch of ground where he could run freely, build up speed, and continue accelerating without limit.

Inside that dinsion, Austin could push his body far beyond what was normally possible. He could feel the wind tearing past him, the ground trembling beneath each hoof as he ran faster and faster. And when the mont ca, when he needed to unleash all that montum, he would open another portal with his horns. The built‑up force would carry through, allowing him to burst out of the other side with devastating power.

This was the sa technique he had used against Lupus before, and it was exactly how he had managed to repeat the feat now. With all the montum he had gathered, he bashed into the large Glutton’s body with his full strength. The impact was so powerful that it toppled the creature over instantly. Not only that, but the Glutton’s bones had clearly been crushed in the process. Even with its ability to heal, it would be a long while before it could stand on its two feet again.

Still, Austin knew he couldn’t relax. He needed to deal with the threat as quickly as possible.

I can’t decide exactly where the portals open, he reminded himself. I still haven’t figured that part out. But I can make it easier by opening the portal in the sa place where I entered, or at least sowhere relatively close to it in a straight line!

With that thought, Austin jumped to his feet. Now he was directly above the fallen Glutton. His two horns began to spark with energy, crackling with the familiar power that allowed him to tear open space itself. As he fell downward, he let himself drop straight into the portal that ford beneath him.

In an instant, he was back in his personal dinsion, his running space. The mont his hooves touched the ground, he sprinted forward. He ran as fast as he possibly could, each step pounding into the ground with purpose. He focused on building speed, pushing his muscles to their limit, making sure each hoof landed firmly to maximize montum. The air around him rippled as he accelerated, and when he felt he had gathered enough force, he opened the exit portal.

He burst out from the other end, only a ter from where he had entered, and his entire body crashed directly into the Glutton’s massive head.

The result was imdiate and brutal. The Glutton’s head exploded on impact, flesh and bone scattering in all directions. A wave of dust erupted from the ground, spreading outward in a violent shockwave. The entire area shook for a mont, a clear sign of just how much power Austin had put into the strike.

Walking out from the top of what used to be the Glutton’s head, Austin erged covered in blood. He didn’t seem bothered by it. Instead, he looked calm, focused, and resolute.

“We can’t have hesitation when it’s about saving our own people,” Austin said. “And I could tell that if he wasn’t dealt with fast, he was going to be a troubleso one.”

With the Glutton gone, the group at the front lines would have an easier ti surviving. But Austin knew the real battle was happening elsewhere, where the others had gone. He couldn’t help but wonder how Kai and Gary were doing.

anwhile, Rowa was still fighting against Midwak. So far, he hadn’t found a way to truly damage his opponent. His Blood Cannon attack had failed earlier, and seeing that it wasn’t enough, he resorted to obtaining more power. He opened his special flask, the one containing blood, and consud it quickly. The mont it touched his tongue, he felt reinvigorated, energy rushing through his veins, strength returning to his limbs.

Feeling renewed, Rowa charged forward again. A red aura covered his hands as he prepared to strike Midwak. But the Werewolf reacted instantly. Midwak swatted Rowa’s arms aside with ease, knocking them away in mid‑air, and then followed up with a powerful kick. The blow sent Rowa skidding across the ground, dirt and debris flying behind him.

Midwak didn’t give him a mont to recover. He was already closing the distance, ready to strike again. However, this ti Rowa had sowhat planned for it. Gathering power and aura in both hands, fueled by the blood he had just consud, he finally had enough strength to fire off two Blood Cannons at point‑blank range.

“DIE, YOU MUTT!” Rowa shouted, pressing both hands against Midwak’s chest.

The blast of red aura erupted violently. It hit Midwak’s hardened hide and imdiately began spreading across his entire body, wrapping around him as if trying to consu him whole. The force pushed Midwak backward, and soon the red aura covered him completely, making it impossible to see anything inside.

Rowa grinned widely. He was certain he had succeeded this ti. The attack had landed perfectly, and the aura had engulfed Midwak entirely.

But then, stretching out from within the swirling red energy, a clawed hand broke through. It tore straight through the aura as if it were nothing. The claws extended rapidly, aiming directly for Rowa’s head.

Rowa’s eyes widened. He had to cancel the Blood Cannon imdiately. He knew he needed to move, if he didn’t dodge, this was sothing he wouldn’t be able to rewind. But he was too slow. The claws were already inches from his face.

Then a hand reached out and grabbed Midwak’s wrist, stopping the strike cold. The sharp nails hovered just inches away from Rowa’s skin.

“I told you… to leave this one to ,” Gary said.
