1035 There on our side now?
With the details discussed, the group didn’t want to waste any ti and decided it was best to spring into action, but Gary wanted to make sure of sothing else.
“Olivia, do you mind trying to find where Xin is? Try asking the guys where she was last spotted. Maybe you’ll be able to track her down,” Gary asked.
There was a reason behind Gary asking Olivia this, and it was due to her class of being a hunter. Although Xin wasn’t marked, and Gary didn’t really know where she was, the Werewolves still had a great sense of sll, and the hunter class even more so.
There was a ti when Xin had gone missing, and Gary had sowhat been able to track her, so he thought Olivia would be able to do the sa.
Along with her being an older woman with her experience, Gary believed she would at least be able to guess where Xin might end up.
“I can’t promise anything, but I’ll give it a go,” Olivia said. “Just be thankful that Kai got a new whip, but since it’s the funds of the Howlers, I guess it ca from you.”
It was a task for her to do on her own, and then Gary turned to face Daphne Bree.
“This isn’t a good place for the two of us,” Daphne said. “Especially since it’s trashed, and part of your new powers seem to have a fire effect.”
Quite a bit of the large chunks of ice that had been thrown around were partly lted.
“I can think of a couple of areas where we can go,” Gary said.
As the two of them were getting ready to leave, Kai’s phone started to ring. Seeing the na on the screen, he raised his hand, gesturing toward Gary before answering.
“Alright… alright, I understand, we’ll be there right away,” Kai replied.
After hanging up the phone, Kai walked over to the two of them.
“You can’t leave just yet. It looks like Elijah is in Slough. He’s at the Wolf’s Pool Club and wants to et with us.”
The core mbers of the Howlers, along with Park, their new driver, went from the ice ring to the Wolf’s Pool Club. Only Olivia wasn’t present, as she had gone to carry out her own important task.
When they arrived, they could see Elijah waiting out front.
“What the…” Elijah’s mouth was left open as he stared directly at Daphne. “What is she doing here… what is… what is going on?”
“You recognize her? I didn’t have a clue who she was,” Austin comnted.
“I an, we have all of the Kings on file, so an important figure like her—of course, we would know about her,” Elijah replied, continuing to stare.
“Can you guys stop talking as if I’m not here? I’m right here, and besides, don’t you have important matters to discuss, or are we just going to stand outside all day?” Daphne asked.
The group walked inside, and unlike other days, the pool club was open this ti. However, most of the mbers inside were part of the Howlers Gang anyway.
It had beco a place for them to relax and calm down. As usual, they headed to the underground floor, where they could discuss various matters.
“Wow, you guys are really showing all your secrets,” Daphne said, looking around. “I’ll know what places to target if we ever beco enemies.”
Marie and Austin both turned to look at Daphne at that mont, thinking it wasn’t a very good joke.
As they sat down, Elijah took a deep breath and looked toward Daphne before speaking.
“It’s okay, you said this was about Harvor, right? If it is, then she needs to hear this as well,” Kai stated.
“Alright, well, I was actually sent here by Kanu,” Elijah started.
Gary rembered Kanu—technically, he was Jayden’s brother-in-law, and the man who had told Gary the entire truth about his past.
“Kanu wanted to tell you that he has started an investigation into the One Gang,” Elijah explained. “Honestly, due to his position, it’s not sothing he should be doing.”
“But he used every string he could pull, every favor he had within the White Rose, to start this investigation. It happened after he saw what occurred between Harvor and Jayden in the match.”
“On the surface, the investigation is about the giant Dragon Altered that flew through the city. The White Rose deals with Altered matters, and a few people were hurt just from the sheer size of the Dragon.”
“There’s no official link between the Dragon and Harvor. Regardless, this is just on the surface. I’m pretty sure Kanu is trying to find out what happened to Jayden or dig up so dirt on the One Gang.”
“Right now, they’re tied up, but it can’t stay this way forever, and eventually, they will be on the move again.”
Kai finally had his answer as to why the One Gang hadn’t moved. Last ti, the White Rose was the one obstructing the Howlers and Gary; this ti, they were on their side, helping hold Harvor back.
“You said Kanu is doing everything he can, so can the White Rose get involved more and try to bring in Harvor?” Kai asked. “Just like they did with Gary?”
Elijah shook his head.
“We have absolutely nothing on Harvor. I’m sure if Kanu did, he would have tried to do sothing about it a long ti ago.”
“Which is why Kanu wanted to give you this ssage. If you find anything related to the One Gang that can get the White Rose to move, bring it to him imdiately.”
“If you do that, then the White Rose will be able to help in taking down the One Gang.” Elijah slamd his fist on the table.
