1000 Too Strong
Jayden was finally able to catch his breath. He could feel his abdon throbbing as he stood up and placed both of his fists up by the side of his head, ready in a fighting position.
‘That hit was incredibly heavy, and I couldn’t even see where he ca from,’ Jayden thought. ‘I can’t get hit too many tis. I don’t know how many tis I can stand up if I get hit again.’
Just as Jayden thought those words, he could see Harvor move from the other side of the ring, right up in front of his face.
Out of instinct, Jayden snapped his hands, trying to hit Harvor’s head, but he was hitting nothing but air.
He threw three punches at a fast speed, but they continued to hit nothing, and then a fist ca smashing against the side of Jayden’s head.
It flung his head along with his neck to the side, and the rest of his body followed as it crashed into the cage once more.
This ti, Jayden recovered quicker, lifting his head up and trying to ignore the hit.
‘Where is he? Where is he? Why can’t I keep him in my sight!’ Jayden thought.
Once again, Harvor was nowhere near him, though, still on the other side of the arena from where he had struck Jayden, but he knew that ant nothing now.
“You certainly are a stubborn one. You still haven’t transford. Is it because I haven’t shown my Altered form?” Harvor said with a smile.
“You know, usually I let these fights look a lot closer than they are. We scuffle in the center, you get a few hits in, I get a few hits, and I end up winning in spectacular fashion, still not having transford.”
“But with you, I want to see what this damned person saw in you!”
Once again, just like before, Harvor had closed the distance at an immaculate speed, appearing right in front of Jayden again.
This ti, though, Jayden was already in the middle of throwing out his fist. It missed Harvor, but Jayden’s fist brushed past his face, his fingers skimming across his skin.
Just then, Harvor could see that it wasn’t just a fist—a knee was lifted, aiming right for his chin. Before it hit, Harvor managed to stop the knee strike, grabbing it with the palm of his hand.
Right after, Harvor threw an overhand strike, which crashed into Jayden, flinging him back again.
His body was thrown into the air, crashing into the cage, but this ti, Jayden had blocked the attack as well, crossing both of his arms across his body.
They were sore from the heavy hit, but he had managed to block it.
“My body senses can’t keep up with your speed,” Jayden said. “So I needed to forget what I see and what I hear and just go for it, right?”
“The good thing is, it’s so obvious what you’re going to do—I just need to move my body around like a child to get a hit on you.”
Jayden claid. What he was saying wasn’t just taunts—it was the truth. Rather than keeping track of Harvor, he would throw his strike before he ca in, giving him a chance to hit him.
He didn’t know when to block, so why not just block right after guessing that his opponent was going to strike?
“I’ll tell you what, you might be a triple-S rank retriever in sh*t talking, I’ll give you that!” Harvor said as he dived forward again.
Jayden threw out a punch, and he felt it solidly landing against Harvor’s face. It was a clean hit, and a loud bang was heard in the arena.
The strike looked painful, causing others to wince, but Harvor continued to move forward. As he did, he took the punch and then grabbed Jayden by his shoulders.
He then walked forward, pushing him until his back hit the cage.
“If you want to play it like that, then why don’t we see who lasts longer, huh? Who can take more hits!” Harvor exclaid.
Jayden lifted his leg and kicked Harvor right in the stomach. A nonexistent grunt was made, and in return, Harvor punched Jayden right in the stomach, lifting him off his feet.
However, his other hand, which was tightly gripping his shoulder, made sure he stayed on the ground.
‘I can’t breathe again… and his grip, with a single hand, he’s holding my whole body!’
Rather than strike, Jayden went to grab the single hand on his shoulder with both of his arms and started to pull.
“Wrong choice. You kicked , right? So let’s see how you deal with one of my kicks!” Harvor said as he swung his leg and bashed it right into the thigh of Jayden.
Once again, Harvor’s hand had stopped Jayden’s body from being lifted off the floor.
‘I can’t feel my leg… I don’t even know if it’s broken!’ Jayden thought. ‘How can a single person have so much power when they’re not even in their Altered form?’
Getting a fist ready, Harvor threw it at Jayden’s face, hitting him right on the mouth and nose. Blood sprayed into the air, and the taste of iron filled Jayden’s mouth.
It no longer felt like a fight to the audience—it almost felt like they were watching a bully completely dominate soone smaller than them.
“Ah right, the na you said before, right? Jasmine. You know what? I rember her na. She was quite the looker.” Harvor smiled and threw his fist right at Jayden’s face again.
The fist was caught before impact, by a furry hand, and a deep growl could be heard.
When Harvor looked at Jayden, he didn’t look like himself. White fur had appeared by the side of his face, black markings had appeared, and his eyes were glowing a fierce yellow as they narrowed.
“Get her na out of your filthy mouth!” Jayden scread.
