Chapter 111- Invasion (Part 2)

The entire supermarket changed in less than a minute. What was a quiet day not that long ago turned into a catastrophe. People ran in every direction as they got chased around by rabid Vampires. Nobody knew what was happening.

All they saw were people falling to the ground, screeching in pain as other humans attacked and bit them violently. Blood spilled everywhere, and the sll of death perated the entire place.

"GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!"

"WHY ARE THE DOORS BLOCKED?!!"

Many rushed to the gates to exit. However, with hundreds of people trying to escape, they all ended up getting stuck as they pushed into one another. The vampires rushed toward them from the back, attacking them relentlessly.

"Get back!"

The security guards stepped forward, trying to stop them. In their hands were bats for minimal skirmishes and no actual weapons. The outco was expectedly... very bad.

"RAAAAH!!!" The vampire lunged forward, easily taking the man down with its imnse strength. The man tried to resist, but he was easily pinned down before the vampire bit into his neck, succking his blood ruthlessly.

"Aa... sa...ve ..." The man felt his life being sucked out of him, and he couldn’t do anything about it. The imnse pain he felt for those fleeting monts was unlike anything he ever experienced before in his life.

As his vision started getting blurry and his breath slowed down, he suddenly felt his entire body shake as the vampire was kicked off him.

"Haaaah!" The man sucked a desperate breath as he leaned to the side, coughing violently. He felt as if he was suffocating for a few seconds.

"Are you ok?!"

Then, he saw a boy lean down next to him and ask gently, his face young, barely that of a teenager, and his eyes seed worried.

"... Hu..."

"Help will co soon, just remain here and don’t panic!" Elio said as he stood up and stared at the vampire. It had already recovered from the kick as it glared at Elio angrily.

’...’ The boy stared at it with a cold glare. He was shockingly not scared of it at all, unlike the very first or second ti he encountered it. He felt far more confident, like he could actually fight it head-on and win.

This was no coincidence. After long days of training and learning, Elio was far from the scared boy he was when he first awakened.

’I have learned a lot and trained a lot... Ti to put all of that into action. All that effort will be damn useless if I can’t use it in my first real battle.’

Yes, his first real battle. All his encounters before weren’t true fights; it was either a desperate escape or a one-sided beating. This was the very first ti he was facing an enemy with the intention to kill.

Brandishing his sword, he sucked a deep breath as he cald his thoughts. There was no point to worry or overthink... Only to kill that vampire.

"RAAA..." The monster seed hesitant for a second, possibly because he felt that Elio wasn’t a real prey. But it still clenched its teeth and rushed toward him. The boy took a fighting stance, his eyes focused and sharp.

All that he learned ca back to him in a second. All those hours of relentless practice have already been engraved into his very bones.

Then, you mix that with Elio’s freakish talent and his insanely fast learning ability... And the result was...

*Swish*

Like a flash, Elio moved at the exact mont when the monster lunged at him. His legs pushed forward as his sword swung from the side. Before the monster could even react, Elio was already past him as his sword sliced his head clean off.

Everything happened very quickly, and when it ended, the monster fell dead, gushing blood like a fountain.

"Fuuuh..." Stopping, he exhaled as he looked over his shoulder. ’That wasn’t too bad... Still far from perfect. I made the sa mistake of prolonging my montum. Fiona had already told not to do that.’

Clicking his tongue, Elio swung his sword to get rid of the blood before he turned around and scanned the area. There were so many vampires moving around, it shocked him to the core that this many were even lurking around, completely hidden from them.

The fact they can’t really sense them was a very scary idea.

’I need to move. There is no ti.’

Nodding his head, he dashed forward, aiming for his next target. He had no ti to be proud of his very first clean kill. Each second wasted was another innocent soul killed.

’I will save as many as possible!’

***

*anwhile, in the other section of the supermarket*

The deeper parts of the building were a bigger ss. Blood and corpses laid everywhere. There were no humans, as they either had moved toward the exit or died. anwhile, the vampires that tried to move around... were facing a threat they could never even comprehend.

A ghost-like silhouette was moving through the place at a terrifying speed. Nobody could see that silhouette, and the mont it reaches a target... The target is sliced into many pieces as if it were nothing.

Fiona was utterly ruthless and elegant with her kills. She didn’t waste a single breath or move in aiming for her enemy. An efficiency so ridiculous it would make Elio’s mouth drop to the ground in shock at how insane it was.

She was like a killing machine that could never stop or rest. In a matter of minutes, she killed a dozen or so vampires, cleaning the entire section.

"Ra-"

*Swish*

Fiona manifested near a vampire, and her sword barely moved, enough for it to cut the monster into several pieces. It fell dead as Fiona looked around her, her face dark and grim. She was not satisfied whatsoever.

’This situation had gone far out of control. Dammit.’

*RING* *RING*

Her phone rang at that mont; it was Alfred.

"What is happening outside?" She asked as she responded to the call.

"Miss Fiona! The entire city, the entire city is filled with rabid Vampires... We have deployed all our forces and summoned everyone back. It is very urgent."

"I’m on my way. I’m cleaning the supermarket. Just kill as many as possible. We will think about the repercussions later. We must save the innocent lives." She said as she hung up and dashed toward the exit.

She knew that after all of this was over, they were facing a problem unlike anything they faced before in their lives or perhaps in the history of this world. However, that was irrelevant when everyone in the city was facing a life-threatening danger.

They had to kill all the vampires.

’We will eradicate them all from this city.’ She clenched her teeth.

"Elio!"

Rushing to the gate, she ca across Elio as he stabbed a vampire in the chest. He was covered in blood from head to toe, but he didn’t seem heavily injured.

"Yes?!"

"Hunters are almost here; they will take care of cleaning up the supermarket. We are leaving to get to the main street! There are way more vampires outside." She said.

"Got it." Elio said as he finished off the enemy, absorbed its blood, and then ran after her. The evacuation process had moved rather slowly, but people were getting out. At the sa ti, two squads of hunters arrived at the scene as they started to take control of the situation.

As chaotic as it was, they were trained for these extrely rare occasion,s so their movent was very precise and organized.

"Where is Lady Fiona?" One of the Hunters asked the squad leader.

"She is still inside. Focus on eliminating all the threats here. The situation in the main plaza is far worse. There are several squads sent there."

"What the fuck is even going on? Why are they all suddenly attacking at the sa ti?"

"Do I look like I fucking know? We are facing a threat unlike anything else! If we don’t move, this entire city will be burned to the ground!"

Those words sent chills down the Hunters’ spines. This was no coincidence; they knew that. It was so sort of invasion, a coordinated attack that seed to span the entire city and perhaps beyond that.

Who did it, why it happened, and what they are supposed to do, was all unknown. They had to do what they know best... Kill all their enemies.

At the sa ti, Fiona and Elio erged from the window, kicking it open and jumping out.

They were instantly welcod with a horrific sight. The streets were a ss. Blood, breaking windows, humans, and vampires running everywhere. It was way worse than the supermarket, and on a far bigger scale. They could hear the screams and screeches mix everywhere.

At the sa ti, helicopters flew over their heads as loud microphones spoke into the world.

It was as if they were witnessing the end of tis happen before their eyes.
