248 First Attempt
(Jane’s PoV)
“What? You don’t want to? Or you can’t do it? Which one?” There was no anger in my voice. Why should I waste my energy to be mad at him when I could easily achieve what I wanted by taunting him? A proud spirit of Death Volcano would never accept any belittle, I was sure of that.
“It’s too bad. I thought you’re so omnipotent that you can do anything. You’re the Death Volcano after all. Never mind if you can’t do it.” I waved my hand at him and faked the sadness in my face. I turned my face away so that he couldn’t see the mischievous glint in my eyes.
“W-who said I can’t do that? Just contacting them, right? It’s so easy!” Putra denied it quickly. Sneaking a peek from the corner of my eyes, I found him pouted and acted all high and mighty.
Stifling the giggle inside, I watched as he sat down on the ground, cross-legged, and closed his eyes. His previous expression changed into a serene one and his aura changed in instant. It was fascinating that he could change from a cowardly boy into a powerful spirit the mont he got into his own world. Red mist emitted from his body danced along with the flow of his power. It didn’t look as dangerous as fire, instead, it looked so calm and harmless that I couldn’t associate him with the Death Volcano.
I watched him for about five minutes but he had not shown any significance change, a sign that he was still trying to complete the mission I gave him. Taking a deep breath, I looked up and around. Since Putra would take his ti to ‘visit’ his underlings, I thought I should have given a finishing touch to my surroundings.
The White Army n were all guarding the periter. I could not see them but I could sense them. All the wicked shadows coming from the portal had been taken care of by them. I couldn’t see any of them, but the trace of bloodlust still overwheld the air. The portal was still opened and two of my fla bearers were guarding it. There was no shadows or demons coming out from that portal but the negative aura still leaked out from it. Even if I gave my best to clean the aura, as long as the portal was still there like an open door, it was useless.
So, why should I waste my energy to do that aningless action?
The best solution was to close this damn door. But, if I closed it, could I still have the opportunity to cross over? After all, I promised Nataya that I would visit him.
.....
Hmm...
Getting up from where I was, I approached the portal and studied it carefully. It was a like a door-shape black hole, I couldn’t see anything beyond that door. But, it did lead to the demon world; another world in the Astral dinsion.
I curiously stretched my hand towards the portal and touched. Physically, I could only feel a tingling sensation in my fingertips. However, as soon as I expanded my consciousness and probed it with my spiritual power, I could sense a complex layers of distorted dinsion around the portal. Even the density of the layers was different with how I usually felt.
There must be sothing which caused it to weaken.
I kept expanding my consciousness and investigating the composition of the layers. There were many things that I didn’t thing I could understand but I persisted. If I couldn’t understand it now, at least I could collect so information about it. After all, I had never had any intention to learn about it before, but now I wanted to know about it as much as I could.
Even if there was sothing that I couldn’t find the answer later, at least I had other information about it at hand.
I didn’t know how much ti had passed ever since I tried to comprehend the layers of dinsion. I could be hours, it could be just several minutes. My sense of ti was distorted as I involved myself further into the composition of the layers of dinsion.
As expected, I couldn’t understand it wholly, but I couldn’t say that it was fruitless attempt.
When I opened my eyes, even I could sense the change in . A sense of joy filled my heart for the result of my ministration. It was aweso! It was as if I was facing a series of complex chanism which worked to separate the dinsion into several worlds.
I could see where the flaws were and how to fix it. The problem was I didn’t have the ans know to fix so of the parts.
Well, since I had so other urgent business to attend to, I didn’t want to dwell on it for too long. Just fix what I could and leave the rest for later. After all, I possessed the main item needed for the portal.
With that in thought, I injected a big amount of spiritual power into the portal along with the heat from the blue fla. I watched as the portal closed under naked eyes. The weakened layers of the dinsion were filled and strengthened. By the ti I finished, the portal had completely disappeared and the layers of dinsion that created the borderline had returned to its previous state.
Well, the lack of so substances could easily weaken it again in later years, but at least for now it was sufficient.
Wiping the sweat from my forehead, I gave the two fla bearers who were staring at a big grin. “Well, is there any movent from the kid?”
“Not yet, Milady.” One of them responded solemnly.
“How long have it been?” I looked around to find that it was not that much different from before I took care of the portal.
“Around ten to fifteen minutes, Milady.” The other one answered. There was a hint of reverence in his voice, as if he was close to prostrate himself to worship .
Maybe it was just my imagination, so I chose to ignore it.
“Jane! I did it!” A shout startled and I turned around to see the owner of that voice that sounded so excited.
