(Tom’s PoV)
Fire of Death Volcano couldn’t burn it, what could the mystical fire of White Army do?
I seriously hesitated, but since Jane had called him, I should just use him. “You know what to do. Burn them all with all your might.” I sighed helplessly.
“General, you might want to retract your chain.” The fla bearer calmly advised, then he turned towards Sanji. “And yours as well, Sir.” He nodded at Sanji.
I frowned. “They will attack us again. You’re aware of that, don’t you?”
“I’m aware of that, General.” The man nodded his head, still with that expressionless face he had on. I swear he was laughing at the camp that day!
Since he insisted so, I could only retract my chains and Sanji did the sa. The mont the bindings loosened up, those ugly creatures let out an even annoying shrill as they rose to the sky, covering the entire sky above us until no moonlight could pass through them.
Ominous feeling rose in my heart as I frowned. My hands clenched at the sight of them. Before I could ask why he didn’t move yet, the blue fla rose in the sky and burned them in a flash, creating a rather peculiar sight as the bluish fire flared up and quickly consud every black shadows covering the sky.
It was as if the sky was emitting blue fire.

The shrill cries stopped and my eyes bulged as I realized there were none of them left alive.
It could really burn them!
I had no idea the blue fla of White Army was this strong! I saw it burned the evil creatures back then in the forest, but the creatures this ti were different and obviously stronger than the other ones back then. Even the fire of Death Volcano couldn’t do any harm to these creatures but the blue fla of White Army surprisingly could do that easily!
What kind of fla did the White Army have, actually?
“That’s my core!” A loud shout ca from my consciousness, made feel a bit dizzy from the loudness.
I shook my head to ease the slight dizziness I felt and a second later, I realized what the boy had said.
“What? Your core?!”
“There’s no mistake! That’s the strongest core I’ve once refined! No wonder I always felt this fire is familiar to .” Putra said agitatedly.
I blinked my eyes speechlessly. Who would have known the strongest core of Death Volcano was used as the source of blue fla in White Army? Then, the sworn sister of the previous guardian of Death Volcano was one of the Master in White Army?
Well, it was possible. I totally overlooked the fact that none of the Masters after the First Master and before Jane were able to live long. I had read about the history of White Army but I couldn’t care less about the gender nor how long they had ruled over the army.
All I know was the First Master was a bad-ass leader and Jane was the only one who could rival him.
“She has changed the form of the fire, making unable to recognize it anymore if not for its destroying capability that goes beyond any worldly fire.” Putra frowned as he attentively watched the remaining fire in the sky burning up the tiny bits of dark and evil shadow left in the air. “Finally, I find it.” He whispered full of excitent.
“Didn’t you say you can’t take it back even if you find it?”
“Of course, I can’t take it back. At least I can see it with my own eyes how it has developed. I think the sworn sister was once a master in White Army.” Putra said in all seriousness, totally not matched with his usual childish behavior.
“I agree.” I nodded my head calmly.
I was totally clueless! Oh I feel so stupid!
The fire died down and the sky returned to its previous state, dark with stars decorating it. The shrill cries had disappeared and the blue fla returned to its bearer. With a simple salute at , he returned back without saying anything else.
The night returned to its tranquil state with only the sound of bugs singing from the nearby forest. I exchanged look with Sanji and I saw the sa dumbfounded expression on his face. I guessed I wasn’t the only one who finally knew the formidable power in White Army.
I might spend a minute or so standing like a fool. I realized I was too ignorant about so things regarding White Army. I could say I had learned a lot about them, but truly I was just being stupid; trusting my own self only because I had Putra with .
What an arrogant thought and I realized why I couldn’t surpass Jane.
I learned as hard and as much as her, but I couldn’t seem to beat her understanding about the army. Because she understood them the most, she could easily manipulate the power inside to shape it in any form and colors that she liked.
I trained as hard as her and from the sa instructor as well. However, her power blood beautifully and soared high in the sky while I felt that, even though I did have improvent, I was left behind by her.
At this point, I realized where it went wrong.
Indeed, ignorance and arrogance could make soone stop moving forward.
I rembered what Siji told once after we finished training.
“You still haven’t unlocked your true potential being the General of White Army. At this rate, no matter how powerful you feel you are right now, you can’t catch up to Jane.” He said. “It’s useless for to tell you what you lack. You need to figure it out yourself to make it work the best.”
“Do you know? Jane is the best at spotting her weakness. That’s why she can grow stronger each day with one peculiar thought of hers. She wants to be better than before.”
I didn’t understand what he ant by that at that ti. Thinking about it now, I felt truly like a fool. It was so clear yet my brain found it hard to understand.
“Siji.” I called out firmly. The man appeared quietly like usual. “Let’s train. This ti, I will make sure I will be stronger than Jane.”
“Yes, General. Of course.” He said with a tinge of smile in his voice. “The training will be rather harsh and you won’t be able to attend to Milady’s call for so ti unless it is life-threatening matter. Are you ready, General?”
“Sanji.” I turned my head towards the only person nearby. I didn’t need to think twice to go. After all, I was going to get myself stronger and better. “I’m going off with my General’s training. You are welco to join but soone needs to keep an eye out for Jane. That Queen has so ulterior motive, do you think ...”
“I’ll pass this ti. You can train alone. Your training as the General is not suitable for , a normal human. Just go. I’ll keep her safe.” Sanji cut off before I could even finish my words. “Are you sure you don’t want to say goodbye to Jane?”
I shook my head. I wouldn’t be able to see her for so ti. I might postpone my training if I were to see her. It was better this way. I was sure I could return to her side with the new .
“It’s okay. I need to go as soon as possible before I change my mind. Thank you and take a good care of her.” I patted his arm before I went into a portal created by Siji.
How long this training would take? I had no idea at that ti.
“Ah, can you take care of Putra during my absence? I couldn’t possibly take him with to the training, right?” I looked back at Siji who was following quietly.
The calm man arched his eyebrows in confusion, so I summoned Putra out from my consciousness.
“I know that we are tied by the contract, but even though I’m your current guardian, I can’t take you with to the training ground. Just stay with the n and help Jane. Siji will take care of you. Don’t you want to see the blue fla with your own eyes? The fla bearers are all in the camp.” I told the kid.
Putra squinted his eyes but then he nodded. I guessed the temptation to see the blue fla was too strong for him to pass this chance. But, I was glad he agreed to it. Even though the blue fla was formidable, at least Putra’s presence in the army could lend her a hand or two in a crucial mont.
“I’m not a babysitter, but I’ll take care of him for you.”Siji said calmly.
“Thanks.” I nodded my grattitude towards him and he waved it off casually. At the sa ti, Putra was sent to the camp of White Army.
My eyes looked up at the other end of the portal. The mont I reached the other end of the portal, my hellish training would start.
I took a deep breath. Here we go!
