201 Helping With The Training
(Jane’s PoV)
Because of my injuries, our trip back was delayed for several days. Those people in the village wouldn’t allow to continue my trip before they were sure my injuries had mostly healed. Doctor Mayang, a surgeon specialized in plastic surgery, made sure that the injuries didn’t leave any scars on my skin. I must say that she was really professional and patient in treating .
Only on my last treatnt from her that I happened to know that she was one of the top five best students from a very well-known university in South Korea majoring in plastic surgery. Many big shots wanted to hire her to be their private doctors or even join their hospitals, but she refused it. Instead of starting her career in South Korea, she returned ho and beca a maid to the current family of the King.
Not a royal doctor, but a maid. What was in her mind at that ti?
However, she only smiled when I asked about her reason. How strange was she?
Not only her, but also the other doctors that were sent to tend were not ordinary people. Most of them graduated from a well-known university either in other countries or in Indonesia and held so achievents during their study there. Maybe the smallest achievent amongst them was from a doctor who graduated as the tenth of the ten best students in his university. He looked ordinary with his glasses, but when he checked on my injuries, I noticed the serious glint in his eyes that changed his whole aura and my impression of him.
Turned out, there was an incident during his mock graduation ceremony. The nine people before him all refused to be put before him. Not for a bad reason, but they said he deserved to be the first. In the class, during discussion or practices, he would act as if he didn’t know anything. In reality, he knew so much that the nine of them together would not be enough to drag him down from his throne if he wanted it. He had skills, knowledge, and all it would take to be a great doctor. But, he purposely suppressed himself so that he wouldn’t stand out. Only the nine of them knew how great he was since he was the one who taught them almost everything they knew.
Since he couldn’t embarrass the village, even though he acted like an idiot, he still managed to get himself the last spot of the ten best students of dical Departnt.
Now that I think of it, it was not a small achievent either. Instead, it was like a hiding dragon.
.....
Well, whatever. They were all so aweso that I felt ashad of my own self who took a leave on my first year as college student. Compared to them, I was nothing.
Since this place could gather this kind of people, I doubted this place was as ancient as it looked like. It was true there was no electricity here. Not to ntion electric stove, they even didn’t use gas stove. They were still using firebox to cook food. Superb, indeed!
It was modern era, but there were people who still used traditional firebox to cook food. It was like... imagine you are wearing a traditional costu, talking formally using ancient words, and standing in the middle of current era people. Ah, one more thing, you are hidden. No one could see you but you know the odd between you and the other people. Yet, you still feel like it’s okay to be different and insisting to stay like the way you are now.
Well, I don’t think that’s a good example, but that will do.
Anyway, this place had so many talented people. Staying here after knowing that truth had sohow made my heart hurt. The thought of ordering these talented people like maids and servants made ashad of my own self.
It was better to leave the village as soon as possible.
With a resolute and full of determination expression on my face, I packed up my things. I also checked on the Black Creese once again to make sure it was still there and not just the scabbard. After keeping it safely, I walked out of my room to find those two n who were supposed to be my travelling partners.
During the ti I spent on my bed to heal my injuries, both Sanji and Tom only ca to visit for a while in the morning before Doctor Mayang ca then they would disappear. On the next morning, they would co again then disappear again.
What were they doing exactly?
I checked on their rooms but those were empty. The whole house felt so quiet that I couldn’t help but frown. Since no one was here except , I could only ask about their whereabouts from Siji.
“Siji.” I called him as usual.
Siji appeared in front of in a flash. “Milady.” He greeted .
I nodded at him. “Where are they?”
“Training, Milady.” Siji replied shortly.
Training? I frowned at that thought. What kind of training that made them forget about ti? Was Siji the one training them?
“Will they take longer ti? If so, then I will tell the others that I’m not leaving anyti soon.”
“It depends on their ability.” Siji shrugged his shoulders with ambiguous look on his face.
I frowned even more. The way Siji said it picked my curiosity. “Can I take a look at them?”
Siji smiled. “Of course.”
He brought to a place not too far away from the village. It was closer to where the White Army was staying than to the village. However, I had never been here before. Was this cavehere all this ti?
“You ca here last ti.” Siji told . It was as if he knew what I was thinking. Oh, he seed to always know what I had in mind. Such a capable advisor! It was a good thing that I had already got used to it.
“Hm?” I looked at him. What did he an I ca here?
“You’ll know it when you get inside.” He smiled and walked inside.
I had no choice but to follow him. It was getting darker but sohow I found no trouble at locating things. We walked further inside but Siji didn’t show any sign of stopping anyti soon.
Where were we? How much further did we need to walk?
As soon as my excitent almost died down entirely, I saw a dim light not too far ahead of . As we got closer, the dim light turned brighter by a notch and grew bigger. Then, we arrived at a spacious room that was really familiar to .
I was here before, indeed, I thought as I smiled bitterly. How could I forget the torture I felt in the na of training? To train and form my own self into this current , I had gone through hell and back to earth, tortured physically and ntally by Siji. Seeing this place only brought back those painful mories, but rembering that Tom and Sanji were here, I could guess what kind of training they were having.
A gleeful laugh escaped my lips as I thought I wasn’t alone. However, I was sure that their training would be successful. Siji was a good teacher; there was no way he would fail at training those two.
Now I couldn’t wait to see their improvent!
“What stage are they in now?” I asked Siji as my eyes scanned the room and spotted those two were sitting cross-legged on the opposite ends.
“Well, they are learning to manipulate their power now.” Siji shrugged. “I rember you only need a whole week from the starting process of entering your consciousness to successfully manipulating your power. They took even longer ti in entering their consciousness and now they have already spent around four days to manipulate their power.”
That long? Ah well, different people had different way to understand things. I shouldn’t judge them too much. I nodded inwardly.
“Well, let check on them.” I walked towards Tom first. Not because I had romantic feelings with him, but because he was sitting closer to than Sanji who was at the other end of the room.
I poured more of my power into my eyes -I usually limited it to prevent my eyes seeing ‘them’ too much which would be bad for -and observed the flow of power in Tom’s body.
Hm? He still had that string kind of spiritual power like the last ti I saw him in the second trial. But, it was still weak. This kind of spiritual power was supposed to be the strongest for exorcist, but without the ability to properly manipulate it, it would be as weak as controlling nothing.
However, tracing back to how Tom fought with those astral beings, I didn’t think he couldn’t control it. My guess was he unconsciously manipulated his power. But, he was still unable to manipulate it intentionally. If he could do it, he could turn it into anything he wanted and used one hundred percent of its power.
His power was white, indicated that his power was the purest. Mine was white smoke, the purest form of my type of power. If I used it well, it would be my greatest defense and weapon.
If Tom could use his well, he could be one of the most dangerous exorcists alive. Just that thought made smile proudly. I honestly couldn’t wait to see him getting strong.
But, what made him unable to manipulate his power?
Manipulating power was a matter of imagination. The more vivid ones’ imagination was, the stronger the form later would be.
I guessed his stubborn and unimaginative mind took control of him that he found it hard to complete.
Putting my thumbs on his temple, I took a deep breath and tried to enter his consciousness. It wasn’t as easy as taking a peek into a shadow or ghost mory. Not to ntion he had a good barrier that shielding him from any unwanted ntal attack, I needed to make my way softly and smoothly with a friendly thought in mind.
It took so ti for to finally breach his shield and entered his consciousness, only to be startled with what I saw.
What was happening here?
