When Sia entered the room, a bright smile was plastered on her face.

She stepped inside without any hesitation, the door closing behind her with a soft sound. Her eyes drifted around slowly, scanning the apartnt from corner to corner.

The cracked walls, the old ceiling fan producing a faint CREAKING sound, the worn-out bed placed near the wall and the ragged curtains filled with claw marks.

Her smile twitched slightly.

She took a few more steps inside, boots making soft sounds against the floor as she turned her head left and right.

Then her gaze finally landed on Silas.

"Silas," she said casually, tilting her head slightly. "You really do live in a small place."

She paused for a second, then added bluntly. "Are you poor?" Silas, who was standing near the table, froze.

His face twisted instantly, eyebrows knitting together as his eye twitched slightly. He slowly turned his head toward her, his expression clearly displeased.

"You can't just point it out like that," he said, voice low and annoyed. He clicked his tongue softly. "And besides, it's you who wanted to stay with . Not ."

He turned his body fully toward her, his eyes sharp. "So adjust."

Sia blinked once, clearly not expecting that response.

Then, instead of getting angry, she simply shrugged her shoulders.

"Well," she muttered lightly as she walked toward the bed. She sat down on it without asking, her sword slightly clanking as she adjusted her position. "I can live with this for now."

Silas stared at her for a mont, then sighed. Sia leaned back slightly, resting her hands on the bed as she looked up at the ceiling fan.

"Oh, right," she suddenly said, turning her head toward him. "I resigned from my guild."

Silas stiffened.

His eyes widened slightly as he turned around fully, staring straight at her.

"…You what?"

She nodded confidently. "I resigned." There was a brief silence.

Sia continued, her tone casual as if she was talking about sothing trivial. "I did get a loud scolding because of it. The higher-ups were shouting like crazy."

She lifted her hand and waved it lightly. "And I had to pay five-hundred thousand dollars because of the contract breach."

Silas sucked in a sharp breath.

"That's not a small amount," he muttered.

She smiled faintly, eyes filled with confidence. "Yeah. It hurt. But I'll grow much stronger in the future, so it'll be worth it."

Silas rubbed his face with his hand and let out a long sigh.

"…Yeah, sure," he said tiredly.

He turned around and walked toward the corner where his sword was placed. He grabbed it and tied it properly to his waist.

"Now let go and get a new place to live," he said. "This place won't be enough for three people."

As he was about to take a step forward, Ragnar suddenly jumped up and landed on his shoulders.

The impact made Silas stumble slightly.

Ragnar wrapped his small arms around Silas's neck, his fluffy body pressing against him as he let out a soft sound.

Silas chuckled lightly.

He raised his hand and patted Ragnar's head gently. "You want to co with ?"

Ragnar lifted his head and howled cutely in response, his tail wagging slightly.

Sia watched the scene with a surprised look on her face.

"You're leaving right away?" she asked.

Silas nodded lightly. "Yeah."

He walked toward the door without any hesitation, Ragnar still clinging to his shoulders.

Before stepping outside, he pulled out his phone and made a call.

The phone rang a few tis before soone picked up.

"Hey, Mark."

From the other side, a familiar cheerful voice ca out. "Yo! Long ti no call, eh? How did you rember today, bro?"

Silas sighed lightly as he stepped out of the apartnt, the noise of the city instantly hitting his ears.

"Well," he said. "I have to buy a new place to live."

There was a short pause.

"A new place?" Mark laughed. "You win a lottery or sothing?"

Silas shook his head slightly. "Nah. Just got so money."

He paused for a mont, then continued. "et in front of Dcnolads. We can eat and chat a bit. Then you can show so places."

He added calmly, "You're a broker after all."

Mark laughed loudly. "Deal."

The call ended. Silas lowered his phone and exhaled slowly.

Ragnar shifted slightly on his shoulders, clearly excited.

The streets were filled with noise. Car horns echoed around, people walking in different directions, and the polluted air mixed with the sll of street food.

Silas walked calmly, his steps steady.

A few minutes later, he reached Dcnolads.

Mark was already there, leaning against a pole with his arms crossed. He was a man in his early thirties, wearing a casual jacket and glasses.

When he spotted Silas, his eyes widened.

"Damn," Mark said, walking toward him. "You look different."

Silas raised an eyebrow. "Different how?"

Mark chuckled. "Stronger."

They entered the restaurant and ordered food, sitting near the window.

As they ate, Silas explained his situation briefly.

Mark listened quietly, nodding occasionally.

"So," Mark said after finishing his fries. "You want a place that's not too flashy, but secure. Enough space for three people. Preferably near the association."

Silas nodded. "And no trouble."

Mark smiled. "I've got a few places in mind."

After finishing their al, they got into Mark's car.

They drove through several districts, stopping at different apartnts and buildings.

So were too expensive. So were too small. So were in bad locations.

After nearly an hour, Mark finally stopped the car.

Silas stepped out and looked up.

The building wasn't luxurious, but it was clean. The structure looked sturdy, and the area was quiet.

"This one," Mark said. "Two bedrooms, decent space, reinforced walls. Hunters live nearby."

Silas stared at it for a mont.

A small smile appeared on his lips. "…Yeah," he muttered. "This will do."

Ragnar howled happily. Silas took a deep breath.

'This is just the beginning,' he thought. 'I'll need people. Strength. And money.'

His eyes sharpened slightly. And he stepped forward.
