Chapter 194: Fight the Golems (1)

Chapter 192

The mont the two humans charged at them, the beasts decided to retaliate, and almost imdiately, the others were forced to act.

Trish didn’t care about the mounting chaos all around her as her eyes were solely fixed on the singular beast before her.

Bang—!

An ice column the size of a puppy burst out with a thunderous bang and bashed into the golem’s face with incredible force, causing the creature to slide backward in pain.

Her eyes burned with restrained fury as the girl landed on the ground smoothly, her hair fluttering a bit in the cold wind of her own making.

Without hesitation, she rushed at the beast with furious agility, and the monster mirrored her aggression.

It dashed forward with impressive speed, reaching the girl within re monts.

Its heavy leg was hauled her way at maximum speed, but with a sharp roll to the side, she avoided the limb which hit the earth with a loud, echoing thud.

Swinging her hand forward, she let her strike collide with the beast’s abdon, but she failed to move the massive creature more than an inch away.

In retaliation, the golem swung its massive fist toward the girl’s head.

Seeing this, Trish was forced to leap backward just in ti.

The fist struck the air with a low, hollow thud.

The mont her feet touched the ground, she sent multiple ice shards flying toward the beast, but with full speed, it dashed away, allowing the jagged shards to hit the ground harmlessly.

Taking a giant leap, the creature crossed the distance between them and descended with a massive sweep of its hands, aiming to grasp the girl and crush her in its thick, huge fingers.

Vaulting backward, the girl managed to avoid those grasping hands.

From her new position, she sent more ice shards flying toward the beast.

They struck it in the chest, sinking in for just a few inches and instantly spreading around its torso like a frigid virus.

But with a heavy punch to its own chest, the beast shattered the frost forming across its body.

Lifting its head up, it found Trish was already standing in front of it with a stoic look on her face.

Her sword lashed through the air, striking it on the chest.

With a sound like tal hitting stone, the blade bit through the Golem’s chest in a clean, savage arc, carving down in a perfect line.

Dust sprayed through the air as the beast staggered backward with a pained expression on its face.

Trish smirked.

Her sword was, of course, of the Advanced rank, so it was an equal match for the beast and could definitely injure the monster this way.

But it still wasn’t enough, as the damn golem wasn’t dead yet.

Without wasting any ti, she exploded forward with fluid grace, crossing the distance between them and appearing before it with a lethal slash of her sword aid at its neck.

Lifting its massive hands forward, the creature blocked the strike intended for its throat.

A tremor passed through the girl’s hands as her muscles vibrated with intensity from the impact against the beast’s stony hands.

Compared to the rest of its body, it seed like its hands were much tougher.

The golem’s leg suddenly sprang toward her body like a battering ram.

With a violent twist of her fra to the side, she managed to avoid the kick by the skin of her teeth.

The beast didn’t relent, though, as it appeared before her in a flash.

Its leg swung from below, aiming to shatter her jaw.

The girl swiftly placed her sword in the path of the oncoming kick.

Bam—!

Her hands shuddered from the intensity of the blow as she was sent sliding backward on her knees across the uneven terrain.

But a determined look appeared on her face the more she glared at the beast.

After the kick, the golem wasted no ti in giving chase toward the girl.

It was fast... surprisingly so, even with its massive, bulky fra.

Before it could rush too far, two consecutive arrows streaked through the air toward the beast, forcing it to imdiately cross its hands in front of its face in order to shield its singular eye.

The arrows ricocheted off the stony surface like bullets hitting a sturdy sword.

Not wanting to lose this opening, ice spread across the ground with full speed, forming a solid, slick trail that led directly to the beast.

Kicking off, Trish slid on the frozen path like a professional skater, allowing her to reach the creature within the blink of an eye.

anwhile, the golem just dropped its hands from its face, only to be t with the sharp point of Trish’s sword impaling its eye.

With a forceful yank of her hand, she pulled the orb out of its socket, causing dust to spray into the air as the beast staggered backward in imnse pain.

Soon, it fell to its knees while still clutching the hollow spot where its eye had been much earlier.

And then, it suddenly crumpled to the ground.

Like a deck of cards collapsing, stones rolled down its body, and soon, the beast was nothing more than a pile of inert brown rocks.

Trish huffed and panted for a second as she stared at the debris.

No expression was on her face as she calmly wiped the blood from her lips before indifferently walking forward until she stood before the fallen beast.

Bending down, she pulled out a shiny, sowhat brown, egg-shaped object from the ground that glowed like the flashlight from a phone.

Staring at the core for a second, the girl contemplated absorbing it right there and then to increase her power.

But when her eyes glided around the chaotic battlefield, she realized that now wasn’t the ti.

She still had a certain number one spot to take, and it certainly won’t take itself if she wasted precious minutes absorbing a core.

Left with that choice, the girl stored the core in the storage ring entrusted to her by Kai and then proceeded to rise.

Turning around to search for her next opponent, she ca face to face with another golem that had just arrived at her position.

’What the—?’

Before she could process her thought, a brutal slap from the golem landed on her face, lifting her whole body from the ground and sending her hurtling away with blood trailing down her lips.
