Not long after Allen lay down, Excella wrapped her arms around him.
"Allen… you won't leave , right?" Excella asked softly, her voice carrying a hint of fear — as if she was scared that all of this might just be a dream.
"Of course not. You're my woman, Excella. I'd never leave you," Allen said, pressing a kiss to her white neck.
"Promise?" she whispered.
"I promise," he replied.
"Will I… get pregnant? You know, you released a lot inside . I just… don't know if I'd make a good mother," Excella said nervously, her hand resting on her stomach.
"Don't worry," Allen said gently, taking her hand and kissing it. "I'm sure you'll be a wonderful mother."
After that, Allen carried Excella in his arms and brought her to his lab.
"Where are we going?" Excella asked, sounding a little curious.
"Well, to make sure sothing like this doesn't happen again, I think it's best if we strengthen your body a bit," Allen said as he activated the fusion chamber.
"But Allen, is this really okay? What about the baby?" Excella asked worriedly.
Allen simply shook his head, finding her concern so endearing that it almost made him want to kiss her again. "Don't worry. The baby's not even three weeks old yet, so it's perfectly safe. Besides, the serum I'm using is a modified version — it's much milder," he explained. He was using the sa type of serum Annette had once used, designed only to enhance the body's resilience and immune system.
Hearing that, Excella seed relieved. "Can I get a kiss before I fall asleep again?" she asked softly.
"Of course," Allen replied, then leaned down and kissed her deeply and passionately for a few minutes.
"Sweet dreams," Allen whispered as their lips parted.
Monts later, the fusion chamber activated, and Exella's body was slowly subrged in the glowing fluid.
....
Four hours had passed since Allen left his workspace. Right now, he was waiting for his cooking to finish while reading a novel to pass the ti. Not long after, the apartnt door opened, and it turned out to be Karena, accompanied by a beautiful girl who looked remarkably similar to the actress Lauren German—the one who played Detective Chloe Decker in the TV series Lucifer.
Karena then walked toward Allen, who was sitting comfortably in the living room, absorbed in his book. Allen, sensing soone approaching, turned around to see who it was, and his eyes widened slightly in surprise when he saw Karena's daughter—she looked almost identical to the actress he knew.
"Allen, let introduce you. This is my daughter, her na is Lauren LesPorux. Lauren, this is my boyfriend, Allen Winter," Karena said, introducing the two.
Her daughter's na even sounded almost the sa as the actress's—only the last na was different.
"Nice to et you, Allen," Lauren said, blushing as she reached out her hand. She felt a little shy for so reason—perhaps because her mother's boyfriend was incredibly handso and still young, which made her feel a bit jealous that her mother had managed to find such a man.
"Nice to et you too, Laura. You're really beautiful—very much like your mother," Allen said with a smile, shaking Lauren's soft hand.
Hearing that, Lauren felt a mix of sadness and embarrassnt. Sohow, just from hearing Allen's voice, she realized she might have fallen for him at first sight—even though he was her mother's boyfriend.
"T-Thank you," Lauren replied, her heart racing so fast that her face turned even redder.
"Okay, how long are you two going to keep holding hands?" Karena said teasingly, watching her daughter bite her lip. Yeah, she had already guessed sothing like this might happen.
"Ah… right," Allen said, letting go of Lauren's hand. He looked a bit disappointed, but there wasn't much he could do.
"Oh, have you two had lunch yet?" Allen asked.
Karena shook her head. "We just got here and haven't eaten yet," she replied.
"Oh, great then. Let's eat—I'm sure my cooking should be done by now," Allen said as he stood up and headed for the kitchen.
"Oh? What are you cooking?" Karena asked curiously, realizing for the first ti that Allen could cook.
"I'm making so Middle Eastern dishes—I was curious about how they taste," Allen said casually. It was actually his first ti trying such a recipe, following one from a cookbook that Tiamat used in the kitchen.
When Karena heard that Allen was cooking just out of curiosity, sothing about it didn't sound quite right.
"Allen… you can cook, right?" Karena asked, wanting to be sure.
"Of course," Allen said confidently.
But in truth, the only thing Allen had ever cooked in his life was instant noodles.
Karena raised an eyebrow, feeling a strange sense of unease—whether it was instinct or intuition, for the first ti ever, she found herself doubting her boyfriend's words.
"Okay, I'll go wake up the girls so they can join us," said Allen as he stood up and walked toward the girls' rooms.
Lauren, who was still sitting at the dining table, looked at her mother in confusion. "Other won? Mom, can you explain what Allen ant by that?" she asked, clearly not understanding.
Karena just took a deep breath before explaining her relationship with Allen. Lauren listened carefully, and by the end of the explanation, she went silent for quite a while. She didn't expect that her mother was in such an… unusual relationship with a man like Allen — a man who apparently had more than one woman in his life.
But after rembering the stories about Allen — a billionaire with a large company in Arica — Lauren finally understood. After all, it wasn't strange for a man like him to have several won around him. Strangely enough, instead of being angry or disappointed, she found herself thinking… maybe she also had a chance to get close to Allen.
While Lauren was still lost in her thoughts, Rebecca, Svetlana, Ada, Alyssa, and Exella (who seed to have just finished her fusion process) ca into the dining room. They each introduced themselves kindly and started chatting casually with Lauren.
A few minutes later, Allen appeared carrying a large tray of food. He smiled confidently as he set it down on the table. But as soon as he lifted the lid, the entire room went silent.
The dish… was hard to describe. Its color was strange, its shape unclear, and its sll made everyone hesitate to even think it was edible. Lauren even found herself wondering, is this… ant for humans?
"Let's eat," Allen said calmly, sitting down in his chair and starting to portion out the food for everyone. But not a single person moved.
"Allen… what exactly did you cook?" Rebecca asked carefully, as if she were examining an explosive device.
"It's cal hump," Allen answered casually, already ready to scoop so for himself.
But before he could, Rebecca quickly stopped him. "NOOO! Honey, let cook sothing else, okay? We… we don't need to eat this," she said quickly, gathering all the plates and hurrying off to the kitchen. She just couldn't bear to watch Allen eat sothing that even a dog might refuse.
"Pfft… hahahaha!" laughter erupted from the girls.
"Hey… why are you all laughing?" Allen asked with a confused look.
But deep down, he actually felt a bit relieved. Still, out of pride — and not wanting to admit that he actually couldn't cook — he tried to maintain his image in front of his won.
"It's nothing, honey," said Ada as she took Allen's hand and gently stroked it. At least this man wasn't perfect, and Ada sohow felt grateful for that — maybe because she and the other girls shared one strength in common: most of them could cook. And the rest of the girls seed to be thinking the sa thing.
....
After lunch, Allen continued his day by relaxing. There wasn't really anything else for him to do today—especially since Brian hadn't told him to return to the R.P.D for the ti being.
However, in the middle of his peaceful break, Lauren suddenly ca up to him.
"Mind if I sit here?" Lauren asked softly, a bit hesitant since she didn't want to disturb Allen's rest.
"Of course," Allen replied with a gentle smile, glancing at her. The girl wasn't much older than Claire Redfield—probably around 19. Lauren looked very young and beautiful, standing about 170 cm tall, roughly 6.5 feet, with a slender figure and a modest B cup chest.
After sitting down, Lauren looked at Allen and asked abruptly, "Allen, do you really love my mom?"
"Of course I love her. Why are you asking?" Allen replied curiously.
"Well…" Lauren hesitated, "I'm just a little unsure and… afraid that you might hurt her feelings. Especially since I know about you—how you have many wives and lovers. I'm just… a little worried because…"
She trailed off. Lauren actually wanted to call Allen a playboy for having multiple won at once, but for so reason, she couldn't bring herself to say it. Maybe because of the calm, sincere impression Allen gave when they first t… or maybe because her mother seed genuinely happy, even though she had to share him with other won. Oddly enough, instead of disapproval, Lauren felt a faint hint of jealousy she didn't quite understand herself.
"Well, I get what you an," Allen said finally, his tone calm but serious. "I admit I'm a bit of a womanizer, and I won't deny that. But I also take responsibility for my actions. Don't worry—I'd never leave your mother. I'd never abandon any of them."
Lauren was quiet for a mont, then nodded slightly.
"Okay… I hope you keep your word," she said softly, sounding a little relieved.
....
Two weeks had passed, and during that ti Allen and his won had done nothing but relax and enjoy themselves in the city. Ti seed to slip by unnoticed.
Now, late at night, Allen was in his office, reviewing the data he'd recovered from the Spencer Mansion. He sat quietly, eyes fixed on the screen, when suddenly there was a knock at the door.
Knock… Knock… Knock…
"Co in," Allen said, glancing toward the door.
It was Ada—walking in gracefully with a tray of food in her hands. She set it down on the table before walking closer to him.
"Co on, eat first. You can deal with that later," Ada said softly, placing her hand on his.
"Alright," Allen replied with a small smile before standing up and joining her at the table where she'd placed the al.
"So, what were you working on?" Ada asked curiously.
"I was reviewing so of the data I took from the Spencer Mansion during my last mission," Allen said between bites.
"Can I take a look?" Ada asked.
"Of course, honey," he replied casually.
When Ada looked at the data on Allen's computer, her expression changed. Her eyes widened slightly, then her lips curved into a faint frown as she read more. The files detailed the disturbing experints—especially the one about Lisa. Even as a rcenary and spy, Ada rarely let emotions get in the way of her work, but sothing about this… made her feel sick. Disgusted. And strangely, sad.
Without saying a word, Ada turned back toward Allen and wrapped her arms around him tightly.
"You okay?" Allen asked, noticing her sudden change in behavior.
"I'm fine," Ada murmured, pressing her face against his chest. Sohow, being in his arms cald her down. She didn't even know why she'd been so emotional lately—sothing inside her just felt… different.
"Allen," she whispered after a mont, "can you co with tomorrow? I want to check sothing at the hospital."
"Sure," Allen answered, gently stroking her back.
Ada hesitated before adding, "I think… I might be pregnant. I just want to make sure."
Allen smiled softly, tightening his embrace. "Of course."
After a few monts of silence, Ada seed to rember sothing. "Allen, I also wanted to tell you—Umbrella has so sort of deal with The Family. It looks like Spencer and The Family have a relationship that's both partnership and rivalry. Also, a few days ago, I found out Umbrella planted a spy inside The Family."
Allen wasn't particularly surprised by that. He'd already suspected sothing along those lines. In fact, he sowhat admired how far the old man, Spencer, had gone in his obsession with control.
"Thanks for the info," Allen said, his tone calm as his hand subtly drifted down to Ada's lower back, teasingly close to her curves.
Ada felt his touch but only smiled quietly, leaning closer against him.
"So, what's your next move?" she asked softly.
"Well, right now, I'm focused on tracking down a few missing people—those Umbrella kidnapped," He rembered the promise he made to Cindy and Alyssa — they had asked him to find their friends who had gone missing.
