That morning, Karena woke up to find Allen no longer by her side. However, monts later, she saw him stepping out of the bathroom, wearing nothing but a thin towel wrapped around his waist. "Good morning, beautiful. You're up? Want so coffee first?" Allen asked as he walked toward the automatic coffee machine in the hotel room.

Karena nodded, and soon after, Allen handed her a cup of warm coffee. "Thank you," she said as she accepted it. Still not fully awake, Karena began recalling what had happened the night before. "So it wasn't a dream…" she murmured, her cheeks flushing as flashes of those monts ran through her mind.

Slowly, she tried to get out of bed and make her way to the bathroom, though her legs still felt weak. Each step made her feel a faint, tingling sting in her backside. Allen, watching the gorgeous MILF walk like that, only gave a faint smile, his eyes following the movent of her body without blinking.

After they both freshened up, got dressed, and had lunch at the hotel, they left the place feeling completely satisfied.

They then got into the car and drove off, saying little along the way.

"You're mine now, so don't even think about running away," Allen said.

Karena, understanding what he ant, remained silent. She knew Allen wasn't the type for one-night stands. Still, at the very least, her body had been thoroughly satisfied when she needed it, and she was more than pleased with Allen's stamina — so much so that she still couldn't stop thinking about it.

She knew that their relationship was no longer just boss and employee.

After they arrived at Allen's apartnt, he was asked why he had co back only now, and Allen had to explain everything.

"So, she's going to be our sister too," said Aphrodite, who didn't seem the least bit surprised. The other won simply stayed quiet and returned to their own activities.

"Yeah, I hope you don't mind about this, darling."

Aphrodite, looking at Karena, simply shook her head. At the very least, this woman could be trusted, so it wasn't a problem.

"Have you seen Athena?"

"Yeah, she's in her room reading a book as usual."

"Oh, okay then," Allen replied, giving Aphrodite a quick kiss before leading Karena to et Athena first. He introduced Karen to her and explained that Karena would be the one leading the rcenary team.

They then left together to take care of the rest of the team mbers. Athena had no objections to the arrangent and left the rest in Karena's hands.

Besides, Athena preferred training people rather than getting directly involved in the field — and, well, Allen's laid-back lifestyle had slowly begun to influence her, just as it had the other won.

For an entire week, Athena put them through intense training in the Arklay Mountains, using various traps and even a few mutant dogs found there. By the end of that week, they could be considered deadly elite fighters. In fact, if Raccoon City were to face an outbreak, Athena was confident they would be able to make it out alive.

After the training, Karena was given the position of team captain by Athena. Karena was thrilled about it, and she found Athena's training to be incredibly effective — not just in combat style, but also in survival skills and more. It was completely different from the usual military approach.

What's more, several of the female mbers, including Karena, were given golden apples to eat. Athena never revealed the origin of these apples, but they proved to be extrely beneficial for the training they had undergone.

Karen quickly organized the Black Rose team to make their movents more efficient.

...

At the mont, Allen, accompanied by Karena, was heading toward Umbrella's underground laboratory. Upon arrival, he saw several guards ard with heavy weapons stationed at every side of the lab. After checking Allen's identification, the guards escorted him to an elevator leading to the basent level.

As they passed through several corridors, the guards eventually left Allen alone with Karena, and the two of them continued toward the lab's central area.

Looks like Dr. William really doesn't want any of these guards entering the lab, and he's extrely cautious around them. Spencer also seed to have reduced the security in this lab and was preparing to seize the G-virus data. It looked like the G-virus serum would be completed soon, and apparently, Spencer was still patiently waiting for William to finish his research.

Before long, Allen t a blonde woman in a lab coat.

"Are you Allen Winters? I'm Annette Birkin, Dr. William's wife."

Allen shook her hand and introduced himself.

"Hello, yes, I'm Allen Winters, and this is my personal bodyguard," he said, introducing Karena to the blonde woman with a ponytail. She was indeed a very attractive woman.

"By the way, is Dr. William busy? It seems like he can't greet in person," Allen asked, noticing that the woman's deanor toward him was a bit cold. Still, despite that, this mature woman carried a certain gentleness about her.

Not that Allen minded such small things—honestly, he was more interested in admiring this gorgeous MILF than in eting Dr. William himself.

"I'm sorry, but my husband is very busy and can't et anyone today," she replied.

"That's fine. After all, I'm just an intern here, assigned only to observe the research and help upgrade so of the computers," Allen said casually.

"In that case, you can follow . I'll accompany you and show you around," she offered.

Annette then began walking, leading him around the lab, the sound of her high heels echoing in the enclosed space.

"Sorry if this sounds rude, but this lab feels so gloomy and dark. And the computers you're using look really outdated—no wonder your superiors agreed to request a hardware upgrade for this place," Allen remarked.

"I know your company provides more advanced technology, and I'm sure my husband will be very pleased to know that these computers can be replaced with better ones," Annette said.

Yeah, it seed like Dr. William was really taking advantage of the opportunity to draw funds from Spencer for his research, and Spencer apparently had no problem spending so money to speed up William's work.

"If you don't mind asking, what exactly is your husband researching? You know, I'm a bit curious about the work you're doing here. And yeah, I read so company docunts saying that Dr. William once researched the T-virus before," Allen said.

"You seem to know quite a lot. Yes, my husband was indeed successful in that research and managed to solve several problems that previous researchers couldn't," Annette replied.

"By the way, may I know, Allen—what's your reason for wanting to work here? Don't you already have your own company, and aren't you quite successful with it?" she asked.

"As for my reason is that I'm currently conducting my own personal research, but I don't yet have a research team for it. So, I'm planning to recruit a few researchers here—if, of course, they're willing," Allen explained.

Hearing Allen's reasoning, which made it seem like he didn't fully understand how this company operated, sounded rather naive—almost ridiculous. Still, thinking about it, he was actually quite young and full of enthusiasm, so Annette could sowhat understand his way of thinking.

"Your husband seems to be a genius in the field of virology. Would it be possible for to see Dr. William's research notes on that virus?". Allen deliberately steered the conversation toward praising Dr. William's work—a man who, in truth, didn't have long to live—and of course, this approach was highly effective. Judging from Annette's satisfied smile upon hearing her husband being complinted, it had worked perfectly.

"For that, I suppose I can give it to you. After all, it's old research and has already been abandoned. You can wait here, and I'll go get it for you," Annette said.

She then walked down the corridor, unlocked her office, and after a short while returned with the research docunts on the T-virus.

"Rember, you can only read this here, and under no circumstances can this docunt leave—let alone be taken ho," she warned.

"Alright, don't worry," Allen replied.

Annette then led Allen to her private office, which would serve as his workspace during his ti at Umbrella. Not long after, she left Allen alone with Karen in the room.

Allen was now fully focused on reading the docunts Annette had given him, genuinely impressed by William's research on the T-virus. The notes were extrely useful for creating a similar virus—though, unfortunately, they provided no insight into its antivirus.

"Wow, this data is really interesting," Allen murmured as he flipped through each page of the T-virus files.

Karena, watching her boss and lover from a distance, remained silent, simply observing.

anwhile, in the room just beyond Allen's workspace, William and Annette were monitoring him through a two-way mirror.

"What do you think of him? Should I take your notes back?" Annette asked her husband while keeping her eyes on Allen.

"I don't want to get involved with him, and as for those notes, I don't need them anymore—they're just old data. I already have better research now. Just let him keep himself busy with that," William replied flatly.

He then glanced at his wife. "You can handle him yourself. Also, make sure to give him whatever benefits he needs—and I really do need new computers from him. I hope you can convince him to replace every computer here."

William had been planning that request from the very start, especially since Albert Wesker had recomnded it. The upgrade would greatly speed up his research, as the outdated machines they were using were practically useless for performing complex calculations, forcing him to do them manually.

He then left his wife there. As for his other plan—to eventually escape from Umbrella—he didn't say a single word to her about it. In his eyes, his wife was currently of no use to him and would serve as the perfect distraction when the ti ca for him to flee.

anwhile, Annette, now left with the task, felt a surge of irritation. Lately, it seed her husband was trying to push her out of the very project they had been working on together.

Perhaps it was because of Alexia Ashford's recent ergence with her discovery of a new virus, the T-Veronica, which had left her husband feeling threatened and overshadowed.

Although Alexia had recently been declared dead and was now missing, it seed to make her husband even more cautious toward Spencer. Annette thought that, for now, she needed to focus on protecting her family—especially her beloved daughter, Sherry. She would do anything for that.

Allen, anwhile, was still flipping through the notes, reading the data intently. However, as he examined them, he noticed the survival rate was extrely low—only a few individuals had survived, such as Sergei, one of Spencer's most loyal guards.

Not long after, the sound of high heels echoed closer toward Allen.

"Aren't you tired of reading that data? Here, I brought you sothing to drink," Annette said.

"Thank you—you're a truly caring woman. I'd say your husband is very lucky to have a wife like you," Allen replied, his eyes subtly taking in her figure.

Annette felt pleased at the complint, placing the drink on the table before sitting down beside him.

"So, what do you think of the notes I gave you? Were they helpful?" she asked.

Allen, now on the final page, replied, "Yeah, these notes are very interesting and give so great insight for creating a new project. I'd say your husband is a genius."

"You're very fortunate to read those notes. After all, you're an outsider to this company, yet you've been allowed access to them," Annette said with a smile.

"Hahaha, well yeah, I guess you could say I'm pretty lucky. By the way, how's your husband? Is he still busy?" Allen asked.

"Yes, unfortunately, he's still tied up with work. But he did ask that you take care of replacing so of the computers here. As for the bill, you can charge it directly to the company," Annette replied.

"Yeah, I don't think that's a problem. It'll probably only take a few days to get it done," Allen said casually.

"Allen, I'm curious—why did Spencer want to hire you here?" she asked bluntly.

"To be honest, I was just told to help your husband's research and also to gain experience in this field. In the future, I plan to start a pharmaceutical company, so I need both skilled workers and experience in this area," Allen explained.

"So your goal is to spy on us?" she asked in an irritated tone.

"Hey, don't get mad like that. Honestly, I'm not really interested in your research." Allen paused for a mont, then looked at her. "Besides, can't the other assistants do the sa thing?"

"It seems you don't know what's going on here. Right now, Spencer and my husband are in conflict, so of course it's hard for to trust you."

"Well, I guess that's understandable. And don't worry, my job is only to help you if you need it. If not, well, there's nothing I can do — I can't force it." Allen explained casually, "If your husband only needs new computers, then I'll head out first to check how many you actually need."

"Wait," Annette said, handing over a docunt containing experintal data on the T-Virus. "This might help you in creating your own project. As long as you don't have any other intentions besides that, I can assist you."

"You an about the G-Virus your husband is working on right now?"

"Yes. Other than that, I can't help you any further."

"Alright, thanks. I'll be going now — and I'm sure I can make a serum far better than your husband's G-Virus."

Karena then walked after Allen, but she glanced at Annette in a way that made the woman shiver. It would be difficult for her to kill that man now, since he was being followed by a guard.
