The cabin door opened, and Shirakawa Sawahei leaned out. The strong airflow from the helicopter’s rotor made his clothes billow and flap noisily. He glanced outside, then stepped off the helicopter first, turning back to help Miss Kaori down.

"Where are we going now?"

Shirakawa Sawahei glanced at Hayakawa Kashi’s slightly askew baseball cap, frowned a bit, and casually adjusted it. This gesture elicited a mildly displeased glance from Miss Kaori, but fortunately, Shirakawa Sawahei was no stranger to facing off with Hayakawa Kashi and bore it all with no pressure.

"To a place where we can watch fireworks."

The Little Arrogant pointed to the stone steps leading up the mountain not far away and softly said, "Let’s go. If we delay any longer, we might miss this round of fireworks."

The two walked side by side, heading towards the naless mountain. From a distance, there seed to be a solemn and austere shrine on it.

"Is there any signal on the mountain?"

"Not very good. Shirakawa, are you worried I might do sothing improper to you?"

Shirakawa Sawahei tugged at the corner of his mouth, "I wasn’t worried before... but now that you ntion it, there’s a bit of concern."

"You can rest assured then," Hayakawa Kashi said indifferently. "With Shirakawa’s skills, you should be able to hold out until you call the police."

"Aren’t you worried that I might do sothing improper?"

The Evil Little Arrogant gave him a light glance, "I trust myself."

Shirakawa Sawahei: "..."

Why does this girl speak so annoyingly? Can’t she say sothing nice like she trusts my character?

Forget it, don’t argue with a tsundere.

As they walked, Shirakawa Sawahei unlocked his phone. Earlier, during boarding, he hadn’t taken calls from the whiny one and Ise Yu due to the noise. Once on the helicopter, he imdiately sent a ssage saying he’d be ho late, but unfortunately, the lazy girl wasn’t checking her phone, and he didn’t get a reply after a long wait.

With no other option, he sent another ssage to the whiny one, saying he was out and for them to head back first. Puzzlingly, the usually quick-to-reply whiny one also didn’t respond, except for sending a mocking emoji now.

What’s gotten into them?

"Are you worried about your friends?" the Evil Little Arrogant said. "If that’s the case, they are already being secretly protected by people I arranged, sent them back."

Shirakawa Sawahei’s expression turned peculiar, "I’m not worried about them getting back... I’m worried that one of them won’t want to leave."

Lazy Girl: ?

Thanks, I’m offended.

The stone steps leading up to the shrine were long and narrow. Miss Kaori and Shirakawa Sawahei walked side by side up the mountain, silent enough to hear the chirping of insects around. The cool mountain breeze at night made the climb not as tiring.

Oddly enough, even though they weren’t speaking, just leisurely following the stone steps, the atmosphere didn’t feel awkward.

These steps are quite comfortable to walk on, Shirakawa Sawahei thought silently.

"Why are you smiling?"

Miss Kaori glanced at Shirakawa Sawahei, noticing he was smiling at her slender legs, and couldn’t help but hint, "Shirakawa, studies show that n who are leg-focused have less self-control than those who are face-focused. Do you think I should be cautious and deal with you now?"

"I’ve never heard of that study," Shirakawa Sawahei said with a pout. "I was just thinking, if Hayakawa had worn a yukata and wooden clogs today, you might have tripped several tis by now."

"Do you want to see in a yukata? Or... do you want to try carrying and Kaori like a princess and see the difference?"

"..."

Really, Hayakawa Kashi can always misinterpret my words, instantly setting up my reputation as a pervert.

"Oh? Isn’t that right?" Hayakawa Kashi looked at him, "Actually, I’m quite confident in my yukata look."

Shirakawa Sawahei twitched his lips, "Just the yukata? I feel Hayakawa has always been very confident."

"Aren’t you confident, Shirakawa?" Miss Kaori said softly, "We are similar, aren’t we?"

Shirakawa Sawahei laughed, "It’s an honor to share so much in common with Miss Kaori."

"Why do I feel like you’re implying I’m narrow-minded?"

"Maybe... Hayakawa hasn’t attended a fireworks festival before? So you probably haven’t worn wooden clogs either."

"You don’t need to worry about that. My cerebellum is well-developed, my sense of balance is good, so even wearing wooden clogs is no problem."

"Besides, who says you can’t wear wooden clogs without a yukata."

Shirakawa Sawahei was stunned for a second, seemingly rembering sothing.

Almost forgot, wooden clogs should be part of the "Kimono Limited Edition Hayakawa Kashi". The Little Arrogant is rich, definitely worn a kimono.

After the long stone steps, Shirakawa Sawahei and the Little Arrogant reached the front of the ancient shrine. They didn’t choose to tour the shrine, instead, they walked around it, passed a small path, and arrived at a vast grassy area behind the mountains. A massive ancient tree stood in the middle of the field, like the guardian of this mountain forest, shielding them from the elents.

The Little Arrogant slowly walked, with Shirakawa Sawahei across the grass, coming to a high ground beside the ancient tree. Looking far into the distance, they saw the twinkling lights of the night, with people bustling by the river, lively and noisy.

The view here is excellent for stargazing. Shirakawa Sawahei gazed for a while at the clear night sky, then suddenly turned and smiled, "Hayakawa, are you sure the fireworks you promised won’t be duds?"

"They won’t."

The Evil Little Arrogant glanced at the night view below and spoke, "It’s not ti yet."

"That’s good. I thought you were going to stand up again."

"Why ’again’? I’ve never stood you up before," the Little Arrogant glanced at him and raised an eyebrow, "Didn’t Shirakawa say before that you stood up and felt guilty?"

"Indeed, but Hayakawa is so busy, surely too busy to bother with soone as idle as ."

"Busy people can’t rember idle people?" Miss Kaori said, "Shirakawa, don’t you know? I have a good mory."

"What ’good mory’... Just say you bear grudges," Shirakawa Sawahei’s mouth twitched, looking helpless, "After all, you rembered for months an incident when I annoyed you. If that’s not bearing a grudge, what is?"

"I rember the bad and won’t forget the good." Hayakawa Kashi gazed ahead and spoke softly, "Look, the fireworks are rising."

Shirakawa Sawahei felt sothing stir inside. He looked up, countless fireworks rose into the sky simultaneously, blossoming in the air, outshining even the stars. From the hillside where they stood, the scene was a grand sight beyond what ordinary people could describe. The night was instantly illuminated; the brilliant fireworks subtly lent a charming hue to the people’s smiles below.

"The fireworks here are an hour later." The girl’s cool voice ca from the side, as if explaining, the distant blast of fireworks couldn’t reach this hillside clearly, but their glow lit up her profile, her hair covered in a layer of crystalline light, her eyes glimring as if brimming with luminosity.

The night breeze rustled the grass, lifting the hems of their clothes. From a distance, they looked like two small black dots. Shirakawa Sawahei looked at the girl beside him, under the spectacular fireworks, his emotions were easily moved.

The east wind at night released a thousand trees, even blowing down stars like rain.

He gently watched Hayakawa Kashi’s profile for a while, without speaking. The fireworks reflected in the girl’s eyes seed even more captivating than those blooming in the sky.

"Is it beautiful?"

Hayakawa Kashi raised her face to ask. Shirakawa Sawahei remained silent for a mont, then turned and chuckled softly.

"Yes, very beautiful."

"Thank you."

"You’re welco."
