Wen Qiao had a habit of ringing the doorbell or knocking on the door in sets of three.
After three knocks, when no one ca to open the door, Wen Qiao knocked again three tis: "Sister Yao, are you up?"
The only response she got was the echo in the hallway.
Usually, if Jiang Yao had work the next day, she would wake up earlier than Wen Qiao and co over to wake her up.
But today, Wen Qiao had already finished washing up, and there was still no sign of Jiang Yao.
Wen Qiao pressed her ear against the door, listening intently for a while, but alas, the soundproofing of the security door was too good, and she couldn’t hear anything.

Seeing Jiang Yao perfectly fine in front of her, Wen Qiao let out a sigh of relief: "Why did you take so long to open the door? I thought sothing happened to you."
"What could possibly happen at ho?" Jiang Yao tugged at her pajamas, then asked, "Why are you looking for ?"
"I ca to call you for break—hey?" Wen Qiao’s voice suddenly took a turn as she noticed a small red mark faintly visible at the collar of Jiang Yao’s shirt. She took a step forward, leaned in, and reached out to pull at her collar: "Is that a hickey?"
Jiang Yao froze for a mont, then casually brushed away Wen Qiao’s hand that was reaching for her chest, calmly pulling up her collar: "What hickey? I just spilled water on my chest when I couldn’t hold the cup steady yesterday."
Wen Qiao’s eyes widened in disbelief: "I’ve never been burned by water before, you can’t fool ."
"Who’s fooling you? Just because you’ve had hickeys before, you think everything looks like a hickey." Jiang Yao rolled her eyes at her: "If you still don’t believe , I’ll pour hot water on you at your place later, you can compare."
Wen Qiao quickly clutched her collar: "No need, I believe you."
She took a step back: "Hurry up and wash your face and brush your teeth, co over for breakfast."
Saying that, she turned and went back to the opposite door.
After the door across had completely closed, Jiang Yao suddenly relaxed.
This is so exasperating, how can this kid have such sharp eyes?
Just as she was about to close the door, she felt a tightness around her waist and was suddenly pulled into a warm embrace.
