Yesterday, Jinghen had helped Feng Li carry hers and Jiang Yao’s luggage up, under the pretext that won shouldn’t lift heavy loads. He naturally knew which apartnt Wen Qiao lived in.

When she moved in, Jiang Yao had already taken care of all the household supplies for her, but since she had been at a film set for a while and didn’t cook, she hadn’t stocked up on any spices or ingredients.
Just as Wen Qiao had unpacked and rinsed the pots, the doorbell rang.
She jogged over from the kitchen, checked the video display to confirm it was Jinghen, and then let him in.
The security in her residential complex was excellent. Yesterday, when Jinghen had sent her ho, the property managent had seen him and knew they were acquainted. Besides, the car Jinghen drove was worth three apartnts in this complex, and his deanor didn’t raise any red flags, so naturally, security wouldn’t suspect him of being a bad guy.
So they let him up without question.
Jinghen was carrying two large bags in his hands, which contained all the ingredients Wen Qiao needed.
Wen Qiao glanced roughly at the bags, noting that so were snacks not listed on her list.
She reached out to take them, but Jinghen dodged, "You don’t have to."

"I don’t have extra slippers prepared, you—"
"I’ve got it covered."
Jinghen placed the bags on a cabinet in the entryway and pulled out a pair of n’s slippers from a bag, put them on the floor, and stepped into them.

Wen Qiao suddenly felt like she had been set up.
"Did you plan to co over for a al all along?"
"No, it was just a spur of the mont," Jinghen replied, looking every bit the picture of innocence. "May I co in?"

You’re already standing here. Is there even a need to ask that?
"Co in," Wen Qiao turned around and led him towards the kitchen.
"Put the things on the table."
Jinghen did as Wen Qiao directed and placed the bags on the table.
Wen Qiao sifted through the groceries Jinghen had brought, "Not bad, the things you bought are surprisingly good."
"You told to get them, I didn’t dare make a mistake," Jinghen said with a smile.
Wen Qiao gave him a reproachful look, "Don’t worry, even if you had bought the wrong things, I wouldn’t have refused you a al."
She took out a box of cookies adorned with the Kitty Cat pattern and shook it: "What’s this?"
"It’s for you," Jinghen said as he pointed to several other snacks in the bag. "Knowing you like these, I picked up a few low-fat snacks, so it wouldn’t be a burden."
Wen Qiao gave a tiny "wow," "You did your howork again, didn’t you?"
