Wen Qiao couldn’t stand to see Fu Jinghen strut around in victory, and she equally couldn’t bear to see him looking pathetic and pitiful.
Not to ntion, Fu Jinghen had said words like "just want to spend the festival with her".
Her hand, hanging by her side, clenched, and she approached Fu Jinghen, quietly explaining, "It’s not that I don’t want you to co, it’s just that the crew has only five days left before completion. You know that once you’re here, even if we don’t talk about it, everyone from top to bottom will revolve around you. If it causes a delay, I’d feel guilty."
"..."
So that was the reason.
The clouds hovering over Fu Jinghen’s heart dispersed instantly, and when he spoke again, his words were infused with a different sense of satisfaction, "I’ll just have a al with you, it won’t affect your work. And if you still feel bad about it, why not invite everyone else from the cast and crew too?"
"Invite everyone? That’s not impossible, last ti you treated them to a al, they were all clamoring about why you didn’t co in person..." As she spoke, Wen Qiao suddenly had a brainstorm, quickly reached out, and grabbed the lapel of Fu Jinghen’s suit, confronting him, "The last ti you suddenly treated the whole crew to dinner, did you know sothing, were you competing with soone?"
Fu Jinghen looked down at the woman nearly pressed against his chest, "You’ve only just realized?"
Wen Qiao was taken aback by his straightforward admission, and she choked, "What about it? I’ve only just realized, is there a problem?"
"No problem." Fu Jinghen lifted his hand and placed it behind her head, "Indeed, I was competing."
Wen Qiao muttered softly, "Petty."
"In this respect, how can one be magnanimous?" Fu Jinghen seed sowhat puzzled.
"..."
Wen Qiao suddenly realized that their proximity was a bit too intimate. She let go of his lapel and pushed on his chest with her small hand, restoring a safe distance between them.
"How would I know, I’m not a man."
Fu Jinghen chuckled, "Then does this an you agree to my request?"
"Then..." Wen Qiao slowly nodded, "yeah."
-
Even though the ’Red Makeup’ crew seed to be well aware of her relationship with Fu Jinghen, Wen Qiao still felt like a guilty thief.
She insisted that she appear with Fu Jinghen at different tis.
She had Fu Jinghen go to Director Zhang to discuss dinner plans, while she and Xiao Chu, carrying luggage, went back to their room.
Only when it was ti for dinner did she co out of her room.
Fu Jinghen had no choice but to indulge her.
A group of people set off mightily toward the restaurant, with Fu Jinghen and Director Zhang at the front, while Wen Qiao, deliberately avoiding suspicion, walked at the very end of the line.
Jiang Yao was telling her not to eat too much later on, not to act unrestrained just because Fu Jinghen was there, while Wen Qiao nodded nonchalantly.
Just as they were about to leave the hotel lobby, Wen Qiao suddenly felt sothing was wrong. She excused herself to Jiang Yao and hurriedly ran to the restroom.
In the stall, she discovered, as expected, her period had arrived.
Luckily, she hadn’t worn light-colored pants or a skirt.
After the delay, when she ca out, everyone had already divided into cars. Before Wen Qiao could react, Director Zhang got out of one car and gestured to her, "Girl, co here, ride with ."
Wen Qiao glanced at the car and, suspecting sothing, cursed Fu Jinghen’s slyness in her mind and trotted over.
Standing in front of the rear car door, she looked through the window and, unsurprisingly, saw Fu Jinghen’s smiling face.
Director Zhang pointed forward, "Sit in front."
