Since the waiter here recognized Huo Mutian, Wen Qiao wasn’t afraid of her identity being exposed, so she took off her mask and hat, nodded at the waiter whose eyes widened in surprise.
The waiter was only stunned for a mont before returning to normal, thodically noting down what Huo Mutian had ordered.
After the waiter left the private room, Wen Qiao casually asked, "Do you co here often?"
Huo Mutian nodded, "The vinegar fish here is exceptional; I co to eat it quite often."
He seed to recall sothing, then added, "I’ve never brought a woman here though, always friends."
Listening to this sentence which carried the sa aning as "You are the first woman I’ve brought here," Wen Qiao looked at Huo Mutian teasingly, "Mr. Huo, the credibility of your statent isn’t very high."
Huo Mutian opened his mouth, wanting to explain sothing, but perhaps realizing that a person with his personality making such a statent really wasn’t very credible, he smiled, "Then consider it an unnecessary remark."
Wen Qiao poured a glass of water and pushed it toward him, "Here."
Huo Mutian didn’t stand on ceremony and took a sip right away.
Wen Qiao also poured herself a glass and sipped from it slowly, cocking her head to look at the scenery outside the window, "The view here is quite nice too."
Huo Mutian watched her and said, "Anything that catches my eye is good-looking."
At his words with a double aning, Wen Qiao’s lips curved into a smile.
The phone screen lit up, and Wen Qiao lowered her eyes to glance at it—it was a new WeChat ssage.
She raised her eyes to glance at Huo Mutian.
Huo Mutian gestured with two fingers together and waved, "Do as you please."
She put down her glass and picked up her phone.
[Fu Jinghen: Are you off work?]
[Qiaoqiao’s not full: Yes, I am.]
[Fu Jinghen: At the hotel?]
[Qiaoqiao’s not full: No, I’m out eating.]
[Fu Jinghen: Are you with soone? Is it safe?]
[Qiaoqiao’s not full: No, with a friend.]
After sending the ssage, Wen Qiao looked at the back-and-forth chat history, blinking, and sent Fu Jinghen a video clip.
She deliberately revealed Huo Mutian’s figure in the video, but since Huo Mutian was looking down at his phone and didn’t face the cara, what stood out was his hand resting on the table.
Huo Mutian’s figure only flashed briefly in the video and wasn’t focused on.
It was as if she had captured it unintentionally.
After sending the video out, Wen Qiao saw the words "Typing..." at the top of the chat box.
But after waiting a good while, there was no ssage from the other side.
Wen Qiao pursed her lips, secretly snickering to herself.
She had just emphasized "a friend" and the video she shot indicated they were in a secluded private room, she might as well have sent the words "alone in a room with a man" directly to Fu Jinghen.

He was evidently feeling jealous and frustrated but still rembered to remind her to be careful.
Wen Qiao imagined what Fu Jinghen must have been feeling when he sent those two ssages, the corners of her mouth curving up.
Why did Fu Jinghen seem so easy to tease now?
Huo Mutian noticed the change in her expression and asked, "What’s so funny?"
"Nothing," Wen Qiao replied, putting down her phone with a aningful tone, "I’ve been teasing an electronic pet of mine."
Huo Mutian raised an eyebrow but said nothing.
