Jiang Wei particularly disliked the feeling of being arranged, and the al was tasteless. Halfway through the dinner, she used the excuse of going to the bathroom to escape from the private room.

As she walked out of the ladies’ room, she saw a man smoking against the wall.
Jiang Wei had heard a bit about Zhang Cheng’s reputation in the rich second-generation circles. People could hardly keep up with his pace of changing won, faster than they could change clothes. To call him a playboy was putting it mildly; he had even gotten a minor internet celebrity pregnant before. Mrs. Zhang didn’t approve, took the woman to the hospital for an abortion, and paid her off.
Zhang Cheng had no objections to his mother’s actions, as it was all just a ga to him.
Initially, Jiang Wei was indifferent to him since his playboy activities had never involved her, but now, with Jiang’s mother pressuring her to et such a scumbag, all that remained was disdain for Zhang Cheng.
Jiang Wei didn’t want to talk to him. She just wanted the dinner to end quickly so she could talk it over with Jiang’s mother. But just as she stepped out, her wrist was grabbed.
"What, pretending not to see ?"
The strong sll of smoke sprayed onto her face, causing Jiang Wei’s brows to instinctively furrow.
"Stay away from ."
Zhang Cheng, spoiled by won, felt a bit provoked by Jiang Wei’s impatience. "You’re already here, why keep up this act, playing hard to get?"
While talking, he reached out to touch Jiang Wei’s cheek.
"I said, stay away from . Can’t you understand human language?" Jiang Wei swung a slap at the man’s hand, but as she exerted force, her nails harshly scratched across his face, leaving a long, thin gash.
Zhang Cheng’s face turned aside from the hit, and then he felt a sharp pain. He touched his face, and seeing the blood, his anger flared up. He grabbed Jiang Wei’s hair, slamd her against the wall, and roughly pulled at her clothes.
"Damn bitch, how dare you hit ? You think you’re so high and mighty superstar?"
Zhang Cheng lost all sense of proportion when he got angry. Jiang Wei panicked and began to struggle vehently.
The private club had excellent soundproofing, with no main hall, only separate private rooms, and the washrooms were sowhat secluded, so nobody noticed the disturbance for a while.
Suddenly, a ringing phone sliced through the tense atmosphere, and Zhang Cheng stopped, took out his phone, and asked harshly on the other end, "What is it?"
Whatever was said on the other end, Zhang Cheng let go of Jiang Wei and strode away.
Jiang Wei had narrowly escaped a disaster; she clutched her collar tightly, her hair disheveled, and red marks on her cheeks where he had gripped her.
She slowly slid down the wall, buried her head in her knees, and began to sob softly.
"Ma’am? Are you alright?"
A female voice sounded above her head, and Jiang Wei instinctively looked up, only to see the last person she wanted to encounter at that mont.
When Wen Qiao saw Jiang Wei’s face, she also didn’t know what to say.
