My SuperVillain System: Building Legion of SSS-Ranked SuperHeroines Chapter 88 - Interest in Lira’s Ability
"Mr. Cruxius, is this a declaration of war?"
"Do you have proof the Association ordered the hit?"
"Are you blaming Eventide directly?"
"What does the Blac Corporation plan to do next?"
"Will you press charges against the Hero Association?"
"Do you fear for your life now?"
Cruxius stood from his seat within the hall room and directly turned as he made his way out through the entrance, followed by Darithi, as he did what he had to do—give a press conference to instigate everyone into following the path he had decided for them.
"Master, why did you tell to find a location near Zone 7 if you were already considering Station Kael?" Darithi inquired, considering she had been ordered by him to find another station near the sa Zone 7, even though previously he had instructed her that his strategy was to announce the details of the gene serum within the train passing through that particular station.
"...Don’t be too curious, Darithi," Cruxius said, his hands tucked in his pockets. He glanced back towards Darithi, giving her a wink, knowing how curious she was about his orders.
It was expected, but he was thinking sothing else. Still, knowing he should at least leave a clue, he added, "You see, so smart fellow might want to die together with ... So, shouldn’t I be one step ahead of them?"
"Then... shouldn’t we have more people with us?" Darithi sheepishly asked. Cruxius had told her that they were the only ones present on the train, which had inevitably beco a target of Zone Seven.
From what her master said, it was now in the stage of his sign and declaration of arrival as a supervillain.
So for them to be on that train without any other support might be dangerous. Considering a collision between the Hero Association and the villain syndicate, if it were to occur, they would just beco liabilities without the power to protect themselves.
"Ytrisia will be enough. And... aren’t you with ?" Cruxius shook his head and finally exited the hotel building, arriving at the fleet of cars. He made his way forward, giving a teasing glance to Darithi, who seed impassive, giving a nod as if already too accustod to his way of speaking, finding it just another one of his word gas.
No reaction ca from her except for a nod. Slowly following behind him, entering the car, she added, "But I am weak, Master. So your life may be in danger there."
"At least you have self-realization," Cruxius said while he looked toward the system screen in front of him, observing Darithi’s status.
Clearly, although her skill was naturally decent, unlike the potential held by others, it lacked sothing that might be as helpful to her as it was to others.

’System, if I receive an ability from Lira, will that rge into you or remain intact?’ Cruxius thought, glancing at his own status window. Clearly, he had not received any liability through it. It appeared that her love had diluted. In a way, she might have created a wall, which he knew how to break—but before that, she needed sothing else.
A way he thought not only to beco stronger himself but also to make the woman who loved him stronger too.
[No, it was a one-ti thing. Hearts Over Heaven will be treated as a separate ability.]
’I see,’ Cruxius kept an artful silence, considering he had initially thought, after seeing Lira’s ability, that he might use it to boost the strength of the woman from whom he received abilities.
When he first saw the ability possessed by Lira—which was then revealed by the system as the foundation of his overall power, allowing him to gain abilities from won after making them fall in love—it surprised him.
But then a thought crossed his mind: what if he could bring his own ability together with hers?
He possessed the ability to receive the power of won who loved him, with a chanism to boost its rank based on favorability and obsession, with a minimal requirent of affection transfer.
So what if he possessed Lira’s ability too—and then had two rging kinds of abilities—where the woman who loved him would receive all of his abilities, while he, on the other hand, would have the power to rank them up?
A natural cycle would establish—where, using the system’s loophole and her ability, he would gain an advantage to increase the ranks of the won who fell in love with him.
However, to establish that, he needed to win Lira’s affection once again—especially now that she had her mories intact. Though he knew it would take so effort, it was not more difficult than with Darithi, who, even though close to him and caring, didn’t even et the minimum criteria of affection required for him to receive her ability.
In the case of any other woman, their behavior was understandable to a limit. But Darithi—even though she was willing to go so far as to endanger her life for him—didn’t have even a fraction of the minimum value required. It ant she was in a state of devotion to him based on complete submission and sacrifice, but not the kind of love the system recognized as "real love."
And that was exactly what made Darithi much harder to crack than Lira, at least to begin with.
"Darithi, want to purchase a gift for you?"
"...A gift?" Darithi, looking at him and tilting her head, inquired—confused about the idea, given she already had everything.
"Yes. Let’s buy a gift for you, first..."
