Looking at his cell phone, Ryan opened the calendar app 'On my free days, I'll enjoy each one of them' he thought.
Then, still holding the phone in his hand, a notification arrived.

[Livia]: Can you open a portal?
[Ryan]: Sure
[Livia]: I can't wait >w<

Looking at those ssages gave him a strange warmth in his chest, and a few minutes later, she walked out of the portal straight to Ryan's house. The sight was a bit surprising, she was wearing a white sneaker that matched a pair of white shorts. Her shirt was a light shade of pink, in her hand she was carrying a white handbag. Livia was made up and dressed up like a princess, wearing a necklace and two small silver earrings.
"You look beautiful" Ryan said aloud, surprised at the sight he was seeing.
The elf stood embarrassed, trying to hide so of her reddened face behind the beautiful blue hair she possessed. This ti she was without glasses, which made it much easier to see her beautiful eyes.
"I've never seen you dressed like that" Livia replied, as she looked Ryan up and down. Even after spending so much ti together, it was hard to see him in clothes other than his uniform or a hoodie. In black jeans with a white shirt and blazer, it was simple but also modern and far from what he would normally wear.
"I just haven't had many opportunities" Ryan said laughing as he approached her.
The two crossed arms and he opened a portal that would lead out of the Academy, where a car was waiting for the two.
The eting was a success, the driver dropped them off at an elegant restaurant near the Neodrazzil coast, the place was relatively close to Lyza's house. With each course, Livia was startled by the prices and wondered if everything was really okay, but Ryan was not worrying. After that dinner, the two returned to the dorm, where they had an intense night of sex.

"That was, amazing" Livia said, as she looked up at the ceiling. She was hiding under the covers, the two had just woken up. "Glad you had a good ti" Ryan said, as he stood up to kiss the elf good morning. A few minutes later, the girls were arriving at his apartnt.
"Did you guys see who's going to show up for the next showdown?" Syl said, as she walked through the door. She was panting from running around a lot and seed startled by the news. "Oh cof! I didn't know you guys. I'm sorry" she said as she hid her own face with one of her hands.
"Don't worry Syl, tell " Ryan said as he got up from the bed.
"Looks like he is going to be a gold pendant student, just like you. I don't know him" she said, but Lyza answered from the room.
"He's a stinker with wind magic control, his na is Tyler Becker"
"Ahh!" Ryan connected the dots.
'His na was on Laila's list, he is one of the best students at the academy, I rember hearing about him during the first year. This duel will be a bit more complex' he concluded as he opened his skills screen.
His skills with Olivia had evolved significantly in level but what caught his attention most was a new window that had appeared a little above the system screens.

An elental mage is always faced with two options during a confrontation, either he creates an environnt or he uses the environnt around him. When a mage's mana is low, the ideal is to use a catalyst or a source for the elent, fire mages use skeletons or flints to start the fire, and then feed it with mana and the matter around it.
Water mages, on the other hand, have a slightly harder ti when they are away from wet terrain, most choosing to draw water from the clouds with the aid of wind magic.
'There must be sothing I can do with that...' Ryan was thoughtful, trying to understand if there was any detail within that.
The dots fit, and he easily imagined a combo that could be used. With a smile on his face he stood up and walked to his office "I need to check a few things" he said excitedly.

Ryan's duel would begin a little later on the second day of the Neodrazzil Travelers Academy battle event. He was scheduled to be the third fight, one of the last of the day.
"Four more submissions to go" one of the academy officials said, near a line of travelers who were sitting at the entrance of the gym.
Today's duel was on neutral ground, in an arena with no elental benefits. Apart from the sun and the wind that was coming through the roof of that gigantic building, nothing would help the duel. Ryan was not carrying any weapons today, partly because of the conversation he had had with Nyx.
