I always thought I’d die in so dramatic, ani-worthy way.

Maybe in a sword fight.

Or being too attractive and exploding.

Not by having my fanfiction discovered.

Scene: Monday Morning – Horoom

I walked into class, blissfully unaware that my life was already over.

Everyone turned to look at like I had committed treason.

Even the class pet goldfish gave judgntal side-eye.

Sayuri smirked. Lilith was biting her lip, trying not to laugh.

Then my teacher, Miss Arakawa, approached with a folder. She looked... amused.

"Kazuki," she said. "You’re quite the storyteller."

I blinked. "Wait—what—"

She held up a printed manuscript titled:

"The Forbidden Rose: A Love Triangle Between , My Stepmom, and Her Secret Vampire Twin"

OH NO.

Flashback – 3 Hours Earlier

I had submitted a "creative writing assignnt" over the weekend.

Problem: I accidentally uploaded my WebNovel draft folder instead of the "Five Paragraph Essay About Perseverance."

So instead of:

"Perseverance is the key to success in academic environnts..."

She got:

"Her fangs grazed my neck as she whispered, ’Call ... Mommy.’"

Scene: Complete and Utter Humiliation

"I—uh—that’s not mine," I stamred.

"Oh really?" she said. "Because it features a character nad Kazushi Hoshono who wears hoodies and cries during emotional climax scenes."

The class lost it.

Sayuri clapped slowly. "Bravo."

Lilith scread into her hoodie.

The student council president threw rose petals for so reason.

Now I’m the Teacher??

Miss Arakawa placed the story on my desk. "You clearly have... enthusiasm. So, today, you’ll be leading a lesson on romantic storytelling. 20 minutes. The class is yours."

Everyone stared.

I died inside.

Then stood up.

And delivered the most chaotic, cringe-infused, unhinged masterclass in shoujo-style romance anyone had ever seen.

Kazuki’s Rules for Writing Romance:

Make your characters hot but emotionally damaged.

Bonus if one has a tragic backstory involving rain and music boxes.

Add accidental physical contact.

Trips, falls, hugs, elbow-to-breast collisions. Classic.

Include emotional screaming in the rain.

No rain? Add a sprinkler scene.

Make soone jealous.

Even if they don’t have feelings. They will.

One of them must almost die.

That’s just math.

After the Lesson

Miss Arakawa looked at like she had just witnessed a trainwreck she couldn’t stop watching.

"Well," she said. "You traumatized the class. But you made a point."

Then she handed a note:

"Consider submitting to the school lit magazine. PS: Never say ’dripping with desire’ in a classroom again."

Sayuri handed a rose.

Lilith handed a water balloon filled with glitter.

I have no idea what ssage that was.

Bonus Chapter – Forbidden Rose: Excerpt from Chapter 7, "Midnight Thirst and Kitchen Accidents"

by the tragically flustered and hopelessly romantic Kazuki H.

Scene: Midnight, in a Cozy Kitchen Lit Only by the Fridge Light

Kazushi stood in front of the open fridge, dramatically eating cold rice like a man with too many emotions and zero dignity.

He had been avoiding her all day.

Her = Aya.

His stepmom.

Also possibly a vampire.

Also definitely hot.

"I thought I slled guilt and soy sauce," ca a voice from behind him.

Kazushi spun around. She was standing there barefoot, wearing one of his hoodies that fit her too well to be accidental.

Her crimson eyes glowed faintly, like she was powered by secrets and regret.

"I was hungry," he muttered, shoveling more rice into his mouth.

"Are you hungry for food... or sothing more dangerous?" she whispered.

A long pause.

Then he choked. On a grain of rice.

"Aya-san," he coughed. "Please stop being weird in the kitchen—this is a sacred rice space."

She stepped closer. "You wrote about in your diary."

"That was... a fictional moir!!"

She leaned in.

"I liked the part where you described my ’dangerously tragic neckline.’"

"PLEASE RESPECT THE BOUNDARIES OF A SLEEP-DEPRIVED TEENAGER."

Suddenly — a Knock on the Window

A shadow lood.

It was her twin sister, the vampire assassin ex-girlfriend of Kazushi’s real mom.

"Step away from my almost-son-slash-target, Aya."

Aya bared her fangs.

Kazushi dropped his rice.

The fridge humd, full of silent judgnt.

Kazushi’s Internal Monologue (Because of Course He Has One)

This is it. I’m going to die in a three-way kitchen love triangle while holding leftover curry.

Sowhere, Shakespeare is laughing at .
