Claire's lifeless form collapsed without a sound, the light in her eyes fading with a cold finality. Her body lay still, her once-brilliant aura extinguished, leaving behind only an empty shell.

A silent gasp echoed in the mindscape. Azzy, trapped within his own consciousness, scread in horror and despair, his soul writhing in anguish. But his body was unable to break free from the hold Tellus had on him. Or atleast, not yet.

In the waking world, Tellus—still holding Azzy's body captive—raised his hand. Within his palm was a golden, oval-shaped gem, pulsating with a radiant, ethereal light—The Jewel of Light

The flood of emotions that followed was like a tidal wave crashing through Azzy's mind. His heart shattered as the mories of Claire—the woman he had once loved, the woman he had hoped to save—flashed before his eyes. He had failed her. "No… No… No… Damn you, Tellus… Damn you Chronos…" he cried out to the point that Tellus experienced the shedding of tears from the eyes, despite his firm control over the possession.

The Reaper's voice cut through his mind. "This was the only way to break free, Azrael."

"Shut up…" Azzy growled at the Reaper, hatred is evident in his eyes. "Shut the F*ck up, you basta*d…"

anwhile, Uriel, watching the turn of events, spoke aloud. "I don't know who you are, or what you are, but you did a trendous service to the cosmos by eliminating her. Now, if you would hand over the Jewel of Light, I'll be returning."

Tellus, however, closed his fist over the jewel of light instead, shutting his eyes for a mont. It disappeared into Azzy's body, firmly sealed within his own soul orb by the Reaper's assistance.

"What is this?" Uriel asked, his voice colder than before, an edge of surprise cutting through his normally emotionless tone. He had expected a different outco, one in which the fragnt would either be destroyed or handed over to him, not absorbed by this guy himself. "Do you know what you are doing?"

Tellus, standing like a figure of quiet power, t Uriel's gaze. His voice ca out in a distorted, eerie tone, just like earlier. "This responsibility now belongs to my host, Archangel." Taking a brief pause, Tellus added. "The Supre Angel will never awaken. So, you can return now."

Uriel, still processing this developnt, let out a breath. "You think you can stop it?" he asked, his voice barely more than a whisper. "You believe you can prevent the Supre Angel from coming into existence?"

Tellus's response was unnervingly calm. "I am not bound by the sa constraints that you are, Archangel. Against my will, the Supre Angel's soul will never escape the Jewel of Light, much less getting freed from this body."

Uriel, however, did not seem satisfied. "Okay, I have played enough with you, Mortal."

He charged forward, his fist launching at Tellus' face as if he intended to blow away his face into nothing.

The fist was connected and Tellus blasted away hundreds of ters. But when Uriel appeared before him again, he saw Tellus' entire face, which was ruptured by a simple punch, looked all good and new. However, there was sothing else. Uriel spotted a black crown on Tellus' head, and a green jewel was embedded inside that crown. "The Jewel of Light?" Uriel couldn't help but frown.

With a soft, almost imperceptible growl, he muttered to himself, "The Jewel of Life... working alongside the Jewel of Death? No wonder he is very confident. But then again, these cosmic jewels, I feel like they... they were planning sothing big. And unfortunately, my prophetic abilities couldn't see through cosmic jewels. The world laws restricted my powers, and I won't be able to kill him now. The best thod now is to just imprison him and take him with , and later extract the Supre Angel's soul fragnt."

Tellus raised his palm, shooting the shards of adamantine at Uriel, trying to take him by surprise.

However, before they reached Uriel, an invisible layer of aura erupted from the latter's body, reducing them to nothing.

Uriel counterattacked, pushing forth his palms, unleashing a barrier of imprisonnt around Tellus.

In response, Tellus raised his hand. The sword of radiance, lying far away from him on the ground, vibrated but didn't respond to his call.

The Reaper assisted him by calling out to the sword of radiance. "Azrael needs your help, Lux Aeturnus. Consider it a request to save your host's body, too. If he gets captured, he will die, and so will you."

Those simple words forced the sword of radiance to shoot out from the ground, cutting through the air like lightning. The barrier generated by Uriel was broken in an instant, Tellus grabbing it in reflex.

Pointing the sword at Uriel, Tellus spoke. "You cannot defeat , Archangel. Not on this planet."

Uriel's face crumpled in embarrassnt and seriousness, emotion is quite evident on his face now. For soone who is known to be extrely calm to the point that he is called emotionless in the entire Elysium realm, it was quite a strange scene.

Uriel's wings erupted from his back, the flaming sword appearing in his hand. "You left with no choice, mortal. You have to die, now."

The flaming sword was a powerful weapon of the Supre Angel, inherited by Archangels. Said to be imbued with divine flas of Elysium, the flas of the sword are said to be capable of disintegrating darkness and unholy beings to nothing. It also has a side effect, though. It cannot hurt an innocent or a righteous individual.

But whether Azzy is righteous is questionable. Uriel was sure that Azzy wasn't.

Raising the sword above his head, Uriel spoke. "Ti for you to die."

Tellus, in response, also raised the sword of radiance, which was at its brightest. "The flaming sword can only kill your enemy when its flas touch them. You won't be able to reach , Archangel."

Tightening his grip over the flaming sword, Uriel was about to swing it down. However, just then, a spatial tear ford in the sky, and there was a sudden shift in the atmosphere, enormous pressure striking both Uriel and Tellus.

Tellus' knees were forced to hit the ground while Uriel could barely stand.

Adam was seen walking out of the spatial tear, his hands hanging on the back. The world laws have no effect on him at all.

Landing on the ground, right beside Tellus, Adam's gaze fell upon Claire's corpse. His eyes turned cold. "Uriel, did you plan this?"

Uriel averted his gaze and answered. "Yes, but I had no role in killing her. It was all this mortal's decision. And right now, he wasn't willing to return the Jewel of Light, where the Creator's soul fragnt was trapped."

Adam shifted his gaze to Tellus. "From the mont I have witnessed you, I knew that you were trouble, Azrael. But I rember you were in love with Claire. It's hard to imagine soone like you did this to her."

As Tellus stayed silent, Uriel opened his mouth, "It's not Azrael, Adam. Can't you see it? He was possessed by the Jewel of Life."

Adam gave another look at Tellus, his eyes narrowed in observation as his senses probed in. "No, it is not. This is sothing else…" He comnted, shaking his head.
