Lu Shao decided to remain silent when listening to the conversation between Su Ran and Zhou Qin.
It was none other than him who ca up with the idea of cross problems and specified to have the teachers of the junior classes to write the problems for the freshn.
“Yeah.” Mother Du WenTao nodded in response to what Su Ran had said. She then added, “That’s why I am so worried. I had to force Du WenTao to study so he could glean so knowledge out of his texts. If the difficulty level had gone up by too much, I worry that he would even be able to pass his examinations.”
Having said that, Mother Du WenTao suddenly gave Su Ran a surprised look.
“No, wait. It makes sense that I am nervous. Your Su Han does so well academically, why are you so nervous?” Mother Du WenTao couldn't help but asked.
Su Ran smiled awkwardly when she heard that.
She wasn’t worried about Su Han’s scored. She was more worried whether he would be able to take the #1 position.
Of course, she couldn’t possibly tell that to Mother Du WenTao.
“I worry that if the examinations beca too difficult all of it sudden, it would affect Su Han’s confidence,” said Su Ran with a smile, coming up with so random reasons.
“That makes sense.” Du WenTao’s mother nodded. “But you don’t need to worry too much. Everything had the sa set of problems. They will all go up and down together.”
“But that’s good too.” Zhou Qin’s eyes rolled as she spoke. “I am not going to think about how difficult the examinations are this ti. If Du WenTao really fails them, it would be the perfect reason for to sign him up to the after-school programs during the winter break.
“Oh, right, this after-school does not only offer basic classes gearing toward those like Du WenTao. They also have advanced classes for valedictorians like Su Han. You want to sign Su Han up too?” said Zhou Qin enthusiastically.
“They would otherwise just stay ho with nothing to do anyway. And us parents would be too busy to have ti for them. Why don’t we sign them up and they will even be able to go to classes together?”
Zhou Qin, the kind whose talent was entirely wasted not being a salesperson, only said 2~3 sentences and was able to tempt Su Ran.
That being said……
“Let’s see how Su Han does and decide after the examinations,” said Su Ran.
Su Han seed to have so sort of a pact with Lu Shao. Su Ran wasn’t able to get the details from her son and didn’t know much about it.
But, it seed to have sothing to do with his final examination grades. Sothing was to happen if he scored above a certain level.
Su Ran noticed that there seed to be more and more little secrets between her son and his father as of late.
As she thought, Su Ran turned and gave Lu Shao a gloomy look.
As though he had sensed sothing, Lu Shao, too, lowered his head and looked over at Su Ran.
Lu Shao’s lips curved a little when his eyes t Su Ran’s.
“Sleepy?” asked Lu Shao softly when he noticed the hint of tiredness in Su Ran’s eyes.
Perhaps because it was too cold outside and the heater was a bit high inside, Su Ran really felt a little sleepy when she heard what Lu Shao had said.
“Yeah, I was up too early today,” said Su Ran leisurely.
Zhou Qin was a bit surprised when she heard Su Ran’s words.
“Early?” The examination started at 9:30 AM, that was two hours later than normal class ti.
Looking at the surprised look on Mother Du WenTao, Su Ran smiled and explained to her, “It’s winterti. Usually it’s his dad who drives Su Han to school and I work freelance so this is usually around the ti that I get up.
“Besides, as the weather gets colder, I have been sleeping longer and longer.”
“I’m so envious of you. I have to get up every morning to make dinner for Du WenTao. I don’t feel comfortable having him eat random food around the school,” said Zhou Qin.
Pausing a little, Zhou Qin lanted, “That being said, it does take a lot of courage to get out of bed. When I open up my eyes every morning, I’d fantasize about breakfast preparing themselves. That way I wouldn’t need to do anything.”
After Zhou Qin had said that, all three people inside the room, including herself, busted out laughing.
