"But it is precisely because of one’s weakness that one can only go with the flow, subject to fate and fortune."
"If the Sect Leader of Evergreen Valley had my kind of power, he could decide his own fate."
"This principle applies to as well. The rging of the three Dao might be a great calamity, but it’s also an unparalleled opportunity. It all depends on how strong I am."
Having personally experienced the upheaval at Evergreen Valley, Li Fan couldn’t help but feel waves of insight after witnessing the changes.
After sensing the hidden desire for revenge deep in Zou Yunhao’s heart, Li Fan smiled slightly and handed him an item.
Then he quietly flew into the Sect Treasure Vault of Evergreen Valley.
Zou Yunhao, who was silently mourning over Baili Shan’s relics, suddenly felt a sharp pain as sothing pricked his hand. Upon closer inspection, he found it was a mysterious fragnt he hadn’t noticed before.
"Supre...Dao..." Zou Yunhao barely managed to decipher the words on the fragnt, his expression drastically changing.
Instinctively, he put away the fragnt and cautiously looked around.
Beads of cold sweat dripped from his forehead.
In the treasure house of Evergreen Valley, Li Fan swept his Divine Sense and indeed found his target.
"Nearly forgot about this."
With a gentle gesture, he summoned a yellowed book into his hand.
Flipping through the first few pages, he found it was no different from what he had seen millennia later.
It was none other than the Mountain and Sea Fables, left by Sun Piaomiao of the dicine King Sect!
Although Li Fan had already found this fable, confiscated by the Supre Sect outside the High Wall at the Thousand Transition Dojo of the Ten Sects migration site, several critical pages were missing.
So Li Fan wanted to see if this Mountain and Sea Fables was still incomplete at this point in ti.
"Hmm... it’s actually complete."
"Interesting. Who tore it apart, then?"
A thought crossed Li Fan’s mind, and several suspicious figures flashed in his Spirit Consciousness.
Putting it aside for now, he began to read the missing Chapters of the fables carefully.
It was composed of several short stories.
The first one resolved a previous confusion Li Fan had when reading the fable.
Once upon a ti, new creatures were born in the sea. The sea even gifted these frail lives with infinite longevity, which led to a quarrel with the mountain.
But in later Chapters, these creatures were never ntioned again. Between the mountain and sea, there were only the mountain and sea.
Li Fan was intrigued by the fate of these creatures recorded in the fables.
Since the birth of sea creatures, many years passed without a word spoken between the mountain and sea.
Yet the mountain and sea always stayed by each other’s side, never parting for a mont.
One day, a creature rode the ocean’s waves, crossed the boundary, and arrived at the mountain.
Worried that the mountain would be angry, the sea broke the silence of many years and greeted, saying, "Mountain, don’t be angry. What ill will could these little beings have?"
"Sea, is this how you see ? If they can live in the sea, they can exist on the mountain. Let them be!"
The sea was delighted, thinking that the mountain had finally accepted these creatures.
So it willingly raised waves, sending more creatures onto the mountain.
The mountain rely observed silently, expressing no opinion.
The living creatures spread between the mountain and sea.
They were like a bond of the mountain and sea, covering mountains and seas.
Years passed as such.
One day, calm tides surged suddenly, and without warning, countless living beings between the mountain and sea were engulfed.
The sea was astonished, but the mountain had anticipated it.
"Mountain, they were born in the sea, so why were they drowned by the sea?"
The sea was extrely saddened, but it was helpless towards the creatures that had sunk to the seabed.
The mountain sighed, "You and I must slowly adapt to our fusion. How could they bear such power?"
"If they stayed in the sea, perhaps they could have lived with you eternally."
"It’s a pity they mistakenly climbed the mountain."
Waves roared endlessly, "I brought this upon them."
"Without you, they wouldn’t exist at all. How can it be said that you hard them?"
The sea did not answer again.
From then on, there were no more living beings between the mountain and sea.
...
Li Fan read this first story dozens of tis, carefully.
Eventually, with a sowhat indescribable expression, he thought: "Are these sea creatures, or rather mountain and sea creatures, referring to everything in the mortal world, aside from the mountain and sea?"
"The lding of mountain and sea is the trend of the tis, and exactly the fundantal reason the Path-obliterating Calamity would occur."
"Unable to withstand the Mountain and Sea ld, they will be completely annihilated within the Mountain and Sea."
"So..."
Li Fan pondered, reaching a rather absurd conclusion in his heart.
It seems that most of what this fable records is about, before the birth of mortal civilization, and...
the events after its destruction.
In Li Fan’s view, the incredibly long ages are just the two most insignificant Chapters in this fable.
"Dao Yan is the end of the Mortal World. But it’s not the end of the Mountain and Sea."
"When stars appear, the Mountain and Sea is no longer seen. That which is not recorded in the fable, is indeed so."
Feeling a sense of bewildernt and loss, Li Fan carefully perused the fable again.
He finally confird the judgnt in his heart.
Yet inevitably, more questions arose: "Who exactly is the author of this fable?"
"If my speculation is correct, then being able to record the Mountain Sea Phenonon from the perspective after the complete annihilation of the Mortal World. This..."
Li Fan suddenly thought of what Emperor Tai Tian ntioned, ascending against the flow from the end of ti. Joining past cultivators, crossing ti and space, to save the Mortal World.
"Could it be left by those powerful ones from the future, from the end of ti?"
"What role does Sun Piaomiao play in all this?"
With too many questions that couldn’t be answered, Li Fan had no choice but to temporarily push them aside.
He first continued to look at the remaining Chapters of the fable.

One day, the calm sea tides surged violently, suddenly rising high.
Unexpectedly, engulfing countless living beings between Mountain and Sea.
The sea was utterly astonished, yet the Mountain had anticipated it.
"Oh Mountain, clearly they were born of the Sea, so why would they instead drown by the Sea?"
The Sea was deeply saddened but was helpless about the beings already sunk to the seabed.
The Mountain sighed, "You and I ld, and we must gradually reconcile. How can they possibly bear such force?"
"If they had stayed in the sea, perhaps they could have survived with you forever."
"Unfortunately, they mistakenly climbed the Mountain."
The waves roared on, endlessly, "It was I who hard them."
"Without you, they wouldn’t exist at all. So how can it be said it’s harm?"
The Sea offered no further reply.
Afterward, the Mountain and Sea harbored no more living beings.
