The thoughts transmitted from the Xuanhuang Heaven Path weren’t entirely clear, but Saint Emperor Li Ping had already roughly understood what it sought to express.
"The position of Great Heavenly Sovereign..."
"Could I lose contact with it?"
Li Ping frowned, falling deep into thought.
"It has been thousands of years since a new Great Supre Lord Xuan Huang was appointed, and now of all tis... Who could it be?" The Emperor sniffed out a hint of conspiracy. Now, he could only monitor a small part of the Xuanhuang World; most of it was a blind spot. Faces flew rapidly through his Spirit Consciousness, yet he couldn’t lock onto any suspect.
"Theoretically, those who pass the Great Heavenly Sovereign’s trial should stand by my side to face the Law Transmission together. But..."
While soothing the Xuanhuang Heaven Path, the Emperor’s eyes showed decisive resolution, "It seems that plans need to be expedited."
"All that is required is to force out the Law Transmission as the anomaly in the Star Sea approaches."
A beam of Starlight shot out from the Saint Emperor Seat.
The machinery of the Sacred Dynasty Daqi, long-prepared for war, began to turn swiftly.
Sun Erlang, who was performing the final tests on the protective capabilities of the Sacred Army Puppets, received the imperial edict with so surprise. But looking at the Puppet array spread out like stars across the sky, endless at a glance, he quickly beca exhilarated and impatient.
"A thousand days of nurturing the army for use at a mont’s notice. It’s ti to show the decaying Alliance of Thousands of Immortals the elite might of the grand Sacred Dynasty!"
About to leave to deal with the urgent matters of deploynt, Sun Erlang seed to recall sothing and flashed into the deepest part of the testing ground.
The surging Power of Ley Lines, dense as if tangible, seed to be continuously hamred and compressed by a formidable force, changing from its original earthy yellow to a lava-like red. The Leyline roared and raged, slapping against a black Enduring Stone in the center.
Regardless of how wild the Power of Ley Lines beca, the Enduring Stone stood unmoving, firm and steadfast. Each strike from the red Leylines only made the luster on the stone shine brighter.
Above the black Enduring Stone, a beam of Starlight sprinkled down from the continuously revolving vortex of the Starry Sky, shining directly upon the stone.
The black rock, bathed in Starlight, seed akin to a breathing entity. With each inhalation and exhalation, specks of starlight were drawn into it.
The Craftsman was not far away, in mid-air, watching intently the black Enduring Stone in this strange spectacle. At the sa ti, he seed to be continuously calculating sothing, manipulating and adjusting the ratio of forces between the incoming Leyline and Starlight.
"Master Craftsman, the war may start sooner than expected. Senior Tianyang, he..."
The Craftsman seed to have already received the edict as well, his gaze never leaving Tianyang’s body, he spoke indifferently, "Rest assured. When the ti cos, I will certainly spring a huge surprise on the Alliance of Thousands of Immortals. Those bastards have devoured much of my essence force these past years..."
"Ah! Now that we’re going to war, the waste of the Heavenly Spirit Sect can be recycled," said the Craftsman, slapping his head and then, after reporting back to the Emperor with closed eyes, he sent out another order, flying towards the Puppets in Jiushan Province.
With a flicker of triumph in his eyes, the Craftsman’s attention returned to Tianyang, who was undergoing the dual tempering of the raging Power of Ley Lines and the Force of the Star Sea.
The Craftsman could feel very clearly the imnse power being nurtured within the black Enduring Stone.
His body trembled slightly, and a hint of madness flashed through his eyes: "This Puppet is the pinnacle of my crafting skills. Even back in the Celestial chanism World, no one could surpass it. Shangguan, just you watch. The disciple you overlooked will surpass you fiercely..."
The Craftsman, ignoring Sun Erlang who was still to the side, muttered to himself. His hands continued to cast Taoist Techniques, hovering over Tianyang’s body.
Seeing this, Sun Erlang quietly backed away, knowing his place.
As the military and civilians of Da Qi geared up for the imminent battle, two relaxed figures had already left the Small World and returned to the Xuanhuang World within the Holy Dynasty.
It was Xu Ke and Yin Shangren.
Yin Shangren squinted, looking up at the sky as if not quite used to the sunlight of the Xuanhuang World.
Xu Ke was discerning the direction.
Before the grand battle began, they planned to infiltrate the Museum of Divine Artifacts first.
"This Emperor Tri-Moa is quite the character. One of the Three Imperial Beasts, yet he joined a human Cultivation sect; when disaster lood, he didn’t hesitate to betray and join the fledgling new Immortal Alliance," Yin Shangren said with a cold laugh.
Xu Ke shook his head, explaining, "Grandpa San is unfathomably mysterious, and no one can figure out what’s going through his mind. After all, not leaving the Xuanhuang World with Emperor One back then was already puzzling. Moreover, his actions can’t really be considered a betrayal of the Beast Taming Sect. After all, it’s almost entirely due to the thods he brought that the sect flourished. He has favored the Beast Sect, not the other way around."
"Joining the Immortal Alliance might just be for the sake of survival."
Yin Shangren scoffed, "I don’t care about the rest, but if he pops up to stop when I’m going for Mr. Bai’s skull, I won’t be polite... What about you, you’re not going to turn on us when the ti cos, are you?"
Xu Ke spoke earnestly, "Be at ease, my friend. I’ve already made arrangents in advance, sending Qing Yu Hong to the Spirit Void World. With the imitation of the Beast Commanding Wheel and the cooperation of the Beast Taming Sect now, we should be able to lure out Grandpa San. And should our plans fail..."
"I will show no rcy either."
"That’s good to hear," assured by Xu Ke’s promise, Yin Shangren smiled, his expression returning to normal.
