??93: Chapter 93 Zombie World
93: Chapter 93 Zombie World
Fortunately, these were all “actors,” hired by the haunted house owner to pretend and scare visitors.
Standing at the back of the line, Lin Yifan saw Zhou Jiajia and An Qi get scared and imdiately stood in front of them, then took a step forward and made a face at the “zombies” in the “prison.”
The “zombies” in the “prison” were almost infuriated to death, as there were actually visitors who weren’t afraid of them.
Afterward, they beca even more ferocious and violently banged on the iron gate bars, trying to frighten Lin Yifan.
However, Lin Yifan wasn’t scared, but the two beauties behind him were.
“Ah!!!”
Hearing the loud banging and the terrifying zombie screams, Zhou Jiajia and An Qi hiding behind Lin Yifan beca even more frightened.
“Dammit!
Getting too cocky, are we?
Well, let
show you what I’m made of.” Lin Yifan got angry, then imdiately walked forward and kicked the iron gate bar, bellowing, “Scram!”
The “zombie” by the gate took a step back, startled.
They had never encountered such a hot-tempered visitor who dared to kick them.
After that, they shrank back and no longer ca out.
Anyway, they had done what they were supposed to do, and there was nothing they could do if the visitors weren’t scared.
“All right!
I’ve scared off the zombies,” Lin Yifan turned around and said to the frightened An Qi and Zhou Jiajia.
“What?
You scared off the zombies?
Really?
Is that true?” An Qi was sowhat surprised and couldn’t believe this was true.
“If you don’t believe , take another look.” After saying that, Lin Yifan stepped aside to let An Qi see the situation in the prison ahead.
At this mont, An Qi saw that there were indeed no zombies by the prison bars anymore.
“Eh!
They’re really gone!” An Qi was amazed, then asked, “How did you do that?
Aren’t zombies not afraid of people?”
“Silly girl, do you think those zombies were real?
They’re all actors dressed up, just with very realistic makeup,” Lin Yifan replied.
“Oh!
So that’s how it is,” An Qi realized; then she was no longer scared.
On the other hand, upon hearing Lin Yifan’s explanation, An Qi wasn’t so scared anymore.
After passing the “Zombie Prison” ordeal, Lin Yifan and his group continued onto the next challenge.
An Qi, seemingly addicted to being scared, kept leading the way at the front.
Ten ters ahead, they reached the next challenge; it was called “Haunting Ghosts.”
As the front-runner, An Qi was naturally the first to be entangled by a ghost.
In the darkness, a ghost suddenly appeared from the side and grabbed her foot, pulling incessantly.
At that mont, An Qi got startled, thinking it was another ghost hand prop, so she forcefully pulled back her foot, trying to break free.
But this ti, she found that she couldn’t break free.
When a yellow light flashed on, she saw a hideous “ghost” clinging to her foot while crouching on the ground.
“Ahh!!!”
She scread shrilly, then started flailing wildly, freaking out.
“Get lost!
Get lost!
Get away from !” An Qi lifted her other foot, repeatedly stomping on the hand of the “ghost” that had grabbed her leg.
“Ah!”
Before long, the “ghost” cried out in pain and then hurriedly crawled back.
His hand had been stomped on by An Qi’s foot, and he was in sheer agony; facing a visitor who was scared out of her wits, he didn’t dare persist or else the pain would be his own.
“Pfft!”
Upon witnessing this scene, Lin Yifan nearly died of laughter.
The “ghost” had intended to scare soone but ended up being scared silly by the frenzied An Qi, which was utterly hilarious.
“Hmph!
Dare to grab Missy’s foot, you’re really asking for trouble,” An Qi said, feeling very relieved, having finally scared off the “ghost.”
Zhou Jiajia had been very scared as well, but she felt inexplicably happy after watching the ghost flee, then praised, “Little sister An Qi is so aweso, even ghosts are scared off by her.”
“Of course, of course, who do you think I am?” An Qi replied, quite pleased with the complint.
Having passed this challenge, they continued on and turned toward the next one.
The next challenge was “Zombie World,” where many zombies would appear.
The darkness ahead held the unknown, and this ti, An Qi didn’t know what she would encounter.
With a heart full of nervous anticipation, she arrived at “Zombie World.”
Even before the lights were on, she heard a steady thumping sound.
“What is that?” An Qi asked, puzzled.
She couldn’t see clearly into the darkness ahead and didn’t know what was making the thumping noise.
“Probably zombies,” Lin Yifan replied.
That’s because among all the ghosts and monsters, only zombies thumped like that.
“Zombies?
No way, how can there be zombies?” An Qi was a bit startled and didn’t dare to move forward.
Zombies were scarier than ghosts because they were tougher and harder to deal with.
Once encountered, unless Lam Chingying were alive, they were difficult to subdue.
“This is the Haunted House, full of demons and ghosts, so it’s not strange to have zombies,” Lin Yifan answered.
He seed quite calm about it because, for soone like him who often accompanied night and fear, there was nothing to be truly afraid of.
“I can’t lead the way anymore, you do it,” An Qi quickly moved behind Lin Yifan, terrified.
Her action frightened Zhou Jiajia too, and soon they both hid behind Lin Yifan.
“They’re just a bunch of fake zombies, is there really a need to be so scared?” Lin Yifan asked, exasperated.
“I just don’t want to see any zombies,” An Qi retorted stubbornly.
For so reason, she felt a special fear towards zombies and truly didn’t dare to face them.
“Alright!
Since you’re all so scared, I’ll just have to use my strong body to et this group of zombies,” Lin Yifan said reluctantly; he then admonished them, “Stay here and don’t move, I’ll be back quickly.”
After saying that, he strode forward.
Left behind, An Qi and Zhou Jiajia held each other tightly, protecting, encouraging, and comforting one another.
The deeper he went, the louder the thumping sound beca; listening to it, he knew there were more than five, likely a group, and they were on both sides of the path.
Curious, Lin Yifan kept moving forward.
Finally, after advancing five ters more, he stepped into “Zombie World.”
As soon as the lights ca on, he saw many thumping “zombies” in an instant.
These zombies had talismans on their foreheads, indicative of a subdued state.
At that mont, they were standing straight with their hands outstretched and their eyes closed, constantly thumping on the spot.
Lin Yifan examined the feet of these jumping zombies and realized it wasn’t the “zombies” that were thumping, but rather the floor beneath the zombies was “thumping.”
The platform each zombie stood on was chanically controlled to move up and down; hence, the group of zombies’ thumping was chanically manipulated.
As for the uniform sound of footsteps, it was entirely produced by sound effects.
