596: Chapter 596 Hostility
“Master, are you going to teach
how to cultivate now?” An Qi asked curiously.
Coming here, she wasn’t here to play but to cultivate; therefore, she wanted to seize the ti to et the first target set by her master, earn a holiday, and visit Lin Yifan and the others.
“Exactly,” Xuji True Master answered.
Clearly, she too was eager to witness what exceptional performance An Qi, with her Extre Yin Jade Body, would exhibit in cultivation.
After all, she had only heard from her predecessors about how powerful the Extre Yin Jade Body was, how exceptional it was, and had never actually seen it, so she was very curious.
“Then, please teach
quickly!
I’m itching to start,” An Qi said excitedly.
Xuji True Master didn’t expect this reaction from An Qi; she thought An Qi would have so resistance, more or less.
Without wasting words, she gladly responded, “Alright!
I’ll teach you now!”
“The first step in cultivation is Qi Refinent; only by refining the natural Spiritual Energy inside the body can one wield mana.
Now, I will teach you how to refine Qi.”
“The first step of Qi Refinent is to relax the body, clear away distracting thoughts, and achieve a state of calm and tranquility.”
“The second step is to rge oneself with nature.
For this step, you must open all the pores of your body.”
“The third step is to inhale and exhale.
When exhaling, expel the impurities from within your body into nature through the pores; when inhaling, draw the Spiritual Energy from nature into your Dantian through the pores.
Lastly, through the opening and closing of the pores, exhaling and inhaling, exchange air with nature; ultimately reach the state where the internal and external beco one and harmonize, unifying heaven and man,” she described.
An Qi tried to cultivate following the steps described by Xuji True Master.
She first sat in ditation, regulating her mind and body; then, she opened all the pores in her skin to breathe in and out.
Gradually, she found it working; and the speed of absorbing Spiritual Energy grew faster and faster.
She didn’t understand why this was happening, only feeling as if a force within her was silently doing all this.
“Whoosh, whoosh!”
Before long, the sound of the wind tearing through the quiet room arose – a sign of rapidly moving air – only such fast-moving air would produce such a sound.
Perceiving the surging of Spiritual Energy all flowing in one direction, Xuji True Master was shocked.
At that mont, An Qi was like a vortex, ceaselessly absorbing the Spiritual Energy around her.
This speed was even more terrifying than Xuji True Master’s own at her younger age.
At this rate, An Qi breaking through to the Breaking Mortal Realm wouldn’t take two years; by then, defeating Lin Yanping would be a piece of cake.
“The Extre Yin Jade Body is indeed extraordinary as always,” Xuji True Master couldn’t help but marvel in her heart.
An Qi had just started cultivating and already gave her a big surprise; she was genuinely looking forward to An Qi’s performance to co.
After absorbing the external Spiritual Energy into her Dantian, An Qi felt as if she didn’t have to lift a finger, as the Spiritual Energy naturally transford into Cultivation Power and accumulated.
Witnessing this scene, Xuji True Master was once again astonished.
She had originally planned to teach An Qi how to transform the Spiritual Energy absorbed into the Dantian into Cultivation Power, but now it seed unnecessary.
So, she quietly left the room, allowing An Qi to cultivate alone.
The room possessed enough Spiritual Energy to support An Qi’s advancent to the Divine Transformation Fifth Realm, so there was no need to worry that An Qi might completely absorb it in rely one day.
Why is that?
Because this room was built upon a small Spirit Stone vein, thus it had a steady supply of inexhaustible Spiritual Energy.
Next, An Qi imrsed herself in cultivation.
Not until the following morning did she conclude her intensive session.
By then, she had progressed from nothing to the Breaking Mortal First Realm, turning a new page in her life.
Although An Qi had been sitting in her room for such a long ti, she didn’t feel the slightest bit tired, but rather refreshed; and she didn’t feel hungry despite not eating anything for a day, which was really curious.
“It seems spiritual energy can be used like glucose and protein,” An Qi marveled, having encountered an outco beyond her expectations.
No wonder Yifan could go days without eating or drinking during his closed-door cultivation and still co out full of vigor, so this was the reason.
After finishing her cultivation, it was ti for her to relax and stroll around to familiarize herself with the environnt of the Cinnabar Palace.
So she left her room and sauntered through the courtyard.
In the early morning, most of the Inner Palace disciples had gone to the martial arts field for training; however, so were still studying the scriptures in the pleasant courtyards, imrsed in discussions about martial arts.
When she walked past a courtyard, An Qi ca across a few Inner Palace disciples engaged in studying the scriptures.
She took the initiative and greeted them, “Hi!
What are you doing?”
Seeing that it was An Qi, the Inner Palace disciples quickly put down their scriptures and greeted her with a bow, “Good morning, Junior Palace Master!”
The previous day’s events had taught them a profound lesson; An Qi was highly favored by the Palace Master and was not soone to be offended lightly.
“You don’t have to be so formal with , just treat
as you would a friend normally,” An Qi replied.
To be honest, she didn’t like the feeling of being above others; it made her feel lonely, without friends.
“We even want to curse at you, but would that be alright?
It’s like being given an advantage and still acting cute,” the Inner Palace disciples thought inwardly with a sneer.
In truth, they were very discontent with An Qi being the Junior Palace Master.
But no matter how unhappy they were, they had to bow their heads because they were backed by the ruthless Palace Master, which forced them to speak courteously with bowed heads.
“I dare not, Junior Palace Master!”
“There’s nothing to dare about, I’m giving you my permission, so don’t be afraid,” An Qi comforted and encouraged them.
“Junior Palace Master, you stand above tens of thousands, while we are lowly and unworthy to be your friends,” the Inner Palace disciples rejected An Qi’s kindness outright.
Feeling the hostility radiating from their words, An Qi felt as though she was being kept out.
“It seems they are still blaming
for becoming their Junior Palace Master!”
An Qi sighed and then shook her head helplessly as she continued to walk forward.
If people didn’t want to be your friend, persisting would be futile; better to just leave with dignity.
Thirty steps later, An Qi found herself under a large mango tree.
Just then, Lin Yanping, who had been closed in ditation for the day without making any headway, happened to appear on a nearby corridor.
Seeing An Qi enter the shade of the mango tree and feeling resentful, she decided to give An Qi a bit of punishnt.
Thus, she cast a spell out of thin air to knock a large mango off the tree, aiming to smash An Qi’s head.
Since the spell was silent, a normal person would have no chance of sensing the impending danger above their head.
Witnessing this, the Inner Palace disciples looked on in shock, unable to believe soone in the Inner Palace would be so bold as to ignore the Palace Master’s order from yesterday and attempt to fra the Junior Palace Master.
Imdiately, they looked in the direction the mana had co from and then saw Senior Sister Lin Yanping’s figure, leading to a mont of sudden realization.
