He was beginning to not want to deal with his mother, whose mind had been corrupted by evil.

I believe my son is righteous,” Lin’s mother responded.
She didn’t believe her helpfully inclined son could be that utterly wicked.
It must have been because he saw the Mountain God was evil, which was why he had taken action and killed him.
