3: Chapter 3 Losing the Job
“Ah!”
Lin Yifan sighed again and again.
He admitted that what he had done was sowhat wrong, but how could he control the pent-up frustration at that ti?
“Let her sue!
I believe my boss can understand that it was an unintentional act,” he said.
“Unintentional act?
Ridiculous.
It seems you don’t even understand the aning of ‘unintentional’,” the woman in the blue swimsuit mocked repeatedly, finding Lin Yifan’s explanation laughable.
“Say what you will, but my intentions were good,” Lin Yifan responded.
“Then keep that explanation for your boss!”
The woman in the blue swimsuit was unappreciative and very determined to file a complaint against Lin Yifan.
A few minutes later, a woman dressed in blue and white led several security guards, who carried patrol batons, running hurriedly from the direction of the swimming hall’s main door.
Accompanying her was the assistant in black-rimd glasses from before.
Clearly, she was the boss of “Imperial Pool No.
1” and had co to handle this unexpected incident.
When she reached the poolside, she bent over respectfully and asked, “Miss An!
Are you hurt?”
An Qi, the general manager of Antian Group in Guiyuan City, held significant stature.
Offending Miss An wasn’t sothing most could afford.
“I’m not hurt, but your employee’s poor service attitude has hurt .
How will you settle this account?” An Qi asked.
“Rest assured, Miss An, I will imdiately fire him,” the owner of Imperial Pool No.
1 replied.
She was but a minor figure, and surviving in the competitive environnt of Guiyuan City wasn’t easy; she dared not offend any powerful forces.
Moreover, her upscale swimming hall thrived on connections, making it even more imperative not to offend top executives of big companies.
Lin Yifan was utterly anxious and hurriedly tried to explain, “No!
Boss, please hear
out, the situation happened like this…”
But before he could finish, the owner of Imperial Pool No.
1 raised her hand to stop him, angrily responding, “No need to explain!
Whether your point of departure was right or wrong, offending a guest ans you have to pack up and leave!”
“Why?
I really didn’t an to treat her that way,” he said.
Lin Yifan couldn’t believe it, not even given a chance to explain.
“Custor is king in the service industry, don’t you understand that!” the owner of Imperial Pool No.
1 asked.
“I don’t understand!
I only understand that my efforts should at least be t with basic understanding and respect!” Lin Yifan fervently replied.
What had he done wrong?
Were it not for the adverse attitude on the other side, he wouldn’t have made such a reckless move.
“Then get out!
I don’t need soone here who doesn’t know how to show restraint,” she exploded.
If it hadn’t been for Lin Yifan’s diligent work up till then, she would have had security throw him out much earlier.
“Fine, I’m gone!
I don’t need this crappy job anyway!”
With a “snap,” Lin Yifan took off his work badge, leaving in anger.
Watching his indignant departure partially soothed An Qi’s mood.
However, she no longer felt like swimming, so she headed to shore to change and leave.
After changing his clothes in the locker room, Lin Yifan went to the boss’s office, intending to ask the owner of Imperial Pool No.
1 to settle his wages for the past few days.
After all, he had worked there for a few days; he deserved so form of compensation.
After waiting at the office door for a while, the owner of Imperial Pool No.
1 returned.
Seeing Lin Yifan waiting at her office door, the owner of Imperial Pool No.
1 asked in extre dissatisfaction, “What are you still doing here?
Didn’t I tell you to leave?
Why haven’t you gone yet?”
This ti, thankfully, no major disaster had occurred, or her indoor swimming hall might not have been able to continue, making her annoyed to see Lin Yifan.
“I can leave, but you need to settle my wages for these past few days first,” Lin Yifan answered.
“Wages?
Ridiculous!
You haven’t even worked here a month, where do you get the idea of having wages?” the owner of Imperial Pool No.
1 questioned.
The contract clearly stated that no wages would be paid if the work period was less than a month; Lin Yifan should not have brought up such a request.
“What did you say?
Believe it or not, one punch from my huge fist could kill you?” Lin Yifan, furious beyond asure, truly felt deeply wronged.
Wasn’t this blatant bullying?
“Ah!
It seems you co looking for trouble.
It looks like without a good lesson, you won’t understand what death ans!” the owner of Imperial Pool No.
1’s face darkened as she imdiately called the security over to beat Lin Yifan, “Co on!
Give this guy a thorough beating and throw him out!”
The security nearby, upon receiving the order, imdiately rushed over with their patrol batons to strike Lin Yifan.
As danger lood, Lin Yifan neither dodged nor fled.
He quickly raised his right hand and grabbed the swiftly approaching patrol baton with force.
“Bang!”
Just like that, he forcefully withstood the heavy blow with his own body.
The owner of Imperial Pool No.
1’s face turned pale from fright; she hadn’t expected Lin Yifan’s body to be so robust as to withstand a strong security guard’s full-force strike.
She suddenly realized a grave mistake had been made, having offended soone formidable and fearso.
Once Lin Yifan seized the patrol baton, it wasn’t retrievable.
The security guard holding the baton suddenly felt an unprecedented sense of sha.
Was he really that weak?
He was angry and wanted to prove sothing, yet he couldn’t prove anything at all.
“With that kind of force, you want to beat ?
Ridiculous!”
Lin Yifan’s expression darkened, and with one effort, he snatched the patrol baton away, effortlessly.
Just as he was about to turn around and retaliate against the security guard, several more security guards, alerted by the noise, arrived at the scene.
