Suddenly, Lin Yifan pulled out sothing An Qi might have never seen before from behind his back.

Why is it so terrifying?” An Qi was scared to the point of peeing herself, asking in a panic.
“This is a beehive!” Lin Yifan answered.
“Why on earth did you bring back a beehive?” An Qi asked, puzzled.
Just looking at those densely packed small holes made her shudder with fear; it was too terrifying.
“Of course, it’s to find sothing to eat,” Lin Yifan replied.
“What’s there to eat inside a beehive?” An Qi inquired with curiosity.
Truth be told, this was her first ti seeing a beehive, and she had no idea what might be hidden inside.

Should I get it out for you to see now?” Lin Yifan asked with a wicked smile on his face.

again?” An Qi questioned.
Looking at that mischievous smile, she knew Lin Yifan was up to sothing.

“Then do you want to go hungry?” Lin Yifan asked.
Right after he asked, An Qi’s stomach growled again; at this point, An Qi had no choice but to nod and agree to let Lin Yifan get the food out of the beehive.
She was truly famished at the mont and desperately wanted sothing to eat.
If there really was sothing edible in the beehive suitable for a al, that would be absolutely wonderful.
Having received An Qi’s nod of consent, Lin Yifan started to pry open a piece of the beehive.
An Qi watched intently, wanting to see what kind of food it would be.

After prying open a palm-sized piece of the beehive, Lin Yifan did not hurry to show it to An Qi, but first took a look himself.
So parts of the beehive might not have larvae; thus, he wanted to make sure this piece of broken beehive did not have any larvae that could scare An Qi out of her wits.
With the first glance, Lin Yifan saw lots of white, wriggling things.
At that mont, he nodded with satisfaction.

What food is it?” An Qi swallowed her saliva and asked.
She was seriously starving and getting impatient.

“As you are so eager, I’ll grant your wish,” Lin Yifan said with a smirk, then showed An Qi the piece of the beehive filled with larvae.

When An Qi saw the beehive covered with wriggling larvae, she shuddered all over and imdiately started to run backwards, fleeing from it; it was as if she saw the most terrifying thing in her life.
Lin Yifan set down the large beehive, and then chased after her with the smaller piece, calling out, “Baby!
Don’t run!
This is delicious food, a delicacy of the forest, co and have a taste.”
“Taste my ass!
Can you even eat these maggots?” An Qi kept running, extrely frightened.
In this life, what she feared most were these wriggling maggots; they felt like parasites, utterly terrifying and simply disgusting to look at.

At that mont, Lin Yifan approached with the beehive, grinning from ear to ear.

to eat this thing,” An Qi said, pushing away Lin Yifan’s hand that was holding the maggot, looking as if she wanted to burrow into the sand.
“Why are you afraid of it?

“It’s raw, it moves, it’s scary,” An Qi said with panic in her voice.
“Then what if I cook it for you, will you eat it then?” Lin Yifan asked.
“No way!” An Qi flatly refused.

“Because it’s a maggot!” An Qi replied.

Lin Yifan couldn’t help but laugh.
The way An Qi said it, her tone, her expression, it was just too funny.
“Alright then!
Since you won’t eat it, I’ll just eat it myself.”
“No way!” An Qi blocked him once more.
“Why?
You won’t eat it, but you won’t let others eat it either?” Lin Yifan asked, perplexed.
“I don’t want my man to have maggots in his mouth because otherwise…
otherwise…” An Qi hesitated, too scared to continue.
“Otherwise what?” Lin Yifan prompted.
“Otherwise I won’t be able to kiss you,” An Qi said through gritted teeth.

Lin Yifan laughed again, finding the temperantal and willful female CEO’s tantrums utterly amusing.
“If I don’t eat maggots, where will I get the strength to protect you, to escort you out of this place?” Lin Yifan challenged.
“Can’t you find sothing else edible in this vast forest?” An Qi counter-queried.
“This is sothing edible!
Don’t you know that in the countryside, this is a rare delicacy?” Lin Yifan pointed out.
In his hotown, stir-fried bee larvae were a premium delicacy; they only had one texture when eaten—that was crunchy!
“I really didn’t know that,” An Qi replied.
