Purple Qi Valley was a notoriously deadly place, situated right at the center of the three great territories. The Human Territory didn't want it, the Demon Territory disdained it, and even the Demon Clan's Territory looked down upon it. Over ti, Purple Qi Valley beca a no-man's-land. A figure flew from afar and in the blink of an eye arrived above Purple Qi Valley.
Upon closer inspection, it was none other than the Human Emperor Dugu Jingtian!
What was he doing here?
The Human Emperor Dugu Jingtian floated quietly in the air, frowning, silent, seemingly contemplating sothing.

From the distance, two more figures flew over with incredible speed and in the blink of an eye reached the airspace above Purple Qi Valley. One emanated an overwhelming demon aura, clearly the Demon Emperor Xing Mietian, while the other was enveloped in black mist, none other than the Demon Emperor Wan Haishan.
"Xing Mietian! Wan Haishan! How co you two are here?" Human Emperor Dugu Jingtian asked in surprise.
"I was about to ask you the sa thing," retorted Demon Emperor Xing Mietian irritably. "Why are you here?"
Demon Emperor Wan Haishan kept a cool deanor and showed no intention of speaking.
"I'm here looking for soone," huffed Human Emperor Dugu Jingtian.
"I'm also here looking for soone," Demon Emperor Xing Mietian smacked his lips.
"Who are you looking for?"
"Why should I tell you?"
"Say it or don't, do you think I really want to know? Humph!"
"If you don't want to know, then why ask? Got nothing better to do?"
The Demon Emperor and the Human Emperor were archenemies; they would start fighting as soon as they t, and if things escalated, they'd co to blows.
"Can you two keep it down?" The usually silent Demon Emperor Wan Haishan finally spoke, clearly displeased. "You're both not young anymore; do you really find it interesting to bicker like children as soon as you et?"
"What gives you the right to lecture us?" Demon Emperor Xing Mietian glared, cursing loudly. "We'll argue if we want to argue, fight if we want to fight; it's none of your business!"
"Humph," Human Emperor Dugu Jingtian followed with his own curse. "The pot calling the kettle black."
"I was kindly advising you, if you don't appreciate it, fine, but you're cursing at ?" raged Demon Emperor Wan Haishan. "Do you believe I'll tear your mouths apart?"
"Believe in your grandma!"
"Go eat shit!"
"Curse at one more ti, I dare you!"
"We just cursed you, so what! If you don't like it, let's tussle!"
The situation took a turn; what had been a quarrel between the Human Emperor and the Demon Emperor had now escalated to both of them teaming up to curse at the Demon Emperor, looking as if they were on the verge of fighting.
"Whoosh!"
Just then, a terrifying pressure descended from the sky, directly suppressing the Human Emperor, Demon Emperor, and Demon Emperor; the three sovereigns' faces changed drastically in an instant, as they promptly exerted their powers to resist. What shocked the three emperors imnsely was that even their combined efforts could not break free from the pressure's bindings.
Who released this pressure? Why is it so terrifying?
It was simply too terrifying for words!
Before long, a layer of cold sweat appeared on the foreheads of the three emperors, and their bodies started to tremble slightly.
"Swoosh!"
Just as the three emperors were about to falter, the terrifying pressure suddenly vanished. The three emperors stumbled, then swiftly retreated, their eyes scanning the surroundings warily, "Who is it! Who ambushed us?"
"Hehehe..." A hearty laugh echoed from the sky, "You three do have so skills, enduring under my pressure for such a long ti. Not bad, truly not bad." A man in a long robe suddenly appeared high in the sky, looking down at the Human Emperor and others with a very arrogant expression. The man had long eyebrows that drooped down the sides of his face, giving him an odd look. His skin was extrely pale, especially his hands which were delicate and tender, his fingers long, translucent, and rounded like a woman's.
"Who are you?"
"Was that pressure released by you?"
"Did you call for ?"
The three emperors asked in unison.
"Don't be anxious, I will answer your questions one by one," the man said with a smile: "It was I who called for you! The pressure just now was also released by . As for my identity... don't be too surprised when I say it." The man purposely paused here, whetting the three emperors' appetite before continuing, "My na is Xin Lie, from above." The man gestured towards the sky.
"Above?" Human Emperor Dugu Jingtian was stunned, "What 'above'?"
It was Demon Emperor Xing Mietian who was quicker on the uptake, "The 'above' you're referring to... is it the Immortal Realm?"
"Correct." Xin Lie snapped his fingers, smiling, "I co from the Immortal Realm! I am an Inspector!"
The three emperors were stunned, staring blankly at Xin Lie for quite so ti before they could co back to their senses.
"You co from the Immortal Realm? Does that an you are an Immortal? No, that's not right, I can't feel any Immortal qi from you?" This was Human Emperor Dugu Jingtian's question.
"Are you joking? Let tell you, this sort of joke is not sothing you can just make casually." This was Demon Emperor Xing Mietian's comnt.
"How can you prove you're from the Immortal Realm?" This was Demon Emperor Wan Haishan's question.
"What you see is just an avatar," Xin Lie said patiently: "Due to the suppression of this space's rules, I can exhibit no more than the strength of Tribulation Crossing Period Great Perfection." He added, "Even if my cultivation is suppressed, killing you would still be as easy as turning over my hand." This statent was said with such domineering confidence and most importantly, the three emperors didn't dare to object.
To convince the three emperors of his origins from the Immortal Realm, Xin Lie intentionally revealed a few spells from the Immortal Realm, completely stupefying the three sovereigns.
"Now do you believe ?" Xin Lie said with squinted eyes and a smile.
Human Emperor Dugu Jingtian took a deep breath, "I'm unaware of the valued purpose the Immortal has in coming to this place..." Now knowing the identity of the other party, Dugu Jingtian felt particularly oppressed and spoke much more politely.
"I am here to find sothing," Xin Lie stated his intention.
"What are you looking for?" asked Demon Emperor Xing Mietian curiously, Could there be sothing in Elysium valued by an Immortal?
"Steles."
"Steles?"
"Eighteen steles in total! They appear very ancient on the outside, and the steles are engraved with characters, very old script that ordinary people might not recognize."
"I wonder what the Immortal requires these steles for..." asked Demon Emperor Xing Mietian.
