"Son, go and speak to your master, ask him to send soone to find out what exactly is going on," Dongfang Fengyun said, "Has your brother's body been found yet? Who is the murderer?"
"Okay, when I get the chance, I'll talk to him," Dongfang Jian nodded, "Dad, go rest. I'll call you when it's ti for dinner." Dongfang Fengyun looked very unwell. He hadn't slept well for years, spending his days either sighing or shedding tears in secret, which had left him looking very haggard.
Dongfang Fengyun stood up, his steps staggering as he walked into the bedroom.
"Sigh..." Dongfang Jian let out a soft sigh, "We were living such a beautiful and happy life, and in the blink of an eye, everything changed. Heaven, you have been unfair to us."
After calming his restless emotions, Dongfang Jian pulled out a chair to sit down, then opened the 'rciless Decision' and began to read it carefully.
All of it was written in traditional characters, which Dongfang Jian found sowhat challenging to read. When he encountered characters with particularly complex strokes, he would have to stop and study them for a long ti before he could continue reading.
For just over twenty pages, Dongfang Jian read for several hours.
"Profound and vast!" Dongfang Jian put down the book, rubbing his eyes, "Truly profound and vast!"
"Master was right, to cultivate 'rciless Decision' to the Great Achievent Realm, one must sever the seven emotions and six desires!"
"The heart must be as tough as steel, devoid of sorrow and joy!"
"From now on, there shall be no love in my heart!"
"Take it slow, one day I will succeed!" Dongfang Jian clenched his fist, murmuring to himself, "With enough effort, even an iron rod can be ground to a needle!"
...
Yang Wei was very efficient in his work. In just three days, he had sourced hundreds of antiques for Gao Fei, mostly from the Tang Dynasty, including a wide variety, from porcelain to wood carvings, and even calligraphy and paintings—just about everything.
Of course, the price was also very high, with Gao Fei having paid a total of over ten billion.
After receiving the antiques, Gao Fei began his closed-door cultivation. Seven days later, he erged with his cultivation advanced to the Third Layer of the Inedia Stage, and his Combat Power increased to 13,000 points.
His cultivation speed had increased, but the cost was also very high. To acquire the antiques, Gao Fei had spent tens of billions in total, an amount not just anyone could afford.
"To cultivate, one must earn more money," Gao Fei said with a self-deprecating smile. As long as he had enough money, he could continue to acquire antiques endlessly, which in turn would allow him to cultivate rapidly—it was a cycle.
"Buzz buzz buzz..."
The phone began ringing, it was Yang Wei calling.
"Mr. Yang, what do you need? Did you acquire more antiques?" Gao Fei answered the phone.
"Mr. Gao, would you be interested in attending an underground auction?" Yang Wei asked.
"An underground auction?"
"It's a private auction," Yang Wei explained.
"What about it? Are there any good items at the auction?"
"I've heard that antiques from the Qin Dynasty will appear at the auction, and not just a few."
"Antiques from the Qin Dynasty?" Gao Fei's eyes lit up, "Is the information reliable?" Over two thousand years have passed since the Qin Dynasty, a dynasty full of legend in Huaxia's history. Ying Zheng, the first emperor of Huaxia, known as the 'Once-in-Eternity Emperor', was revered imnsely. It was unfortunate, however, that soon after his death, the Qin Dynasty collapsed...
During Ying Zheng's reign, the country was, at least on the surface, very strong.
Many collectors loved to collect items from the Qin Dynasty, but unfortunately, very few items from that period had survived to the present, making them extrely rare on the market.
The older the antiques, the more Gao Fei cherished them! This was because such antiques contained more spiritual energy!
"Absolutely reliable!" Yang Wei assured him, thumping his chest.
"Where will the auction be held?" Gao Fei inquired.
"In the capital."
"The capital? Those people are really daring to play such gas right under the emperor's nose. That's incredibly bold," Gao Fei remarked.
The state had clearly laid out laws forbidding the private trade of Qin Dynasty antiques, especially bronzeware, which was strictly penalized. With soone daring to auction Qin Dynasty antiques in the capital, it was a fearless move indeed.
"They say the most dangerous place can be the safest," Yang Wei said with a laugh, "Mr. Gao, it's because I'm familiar with you that I'm sharing this information. I wouldn't say a word of it to anyone else." After a few transactions, Yang Wei had let down his guard around Gao Fei to the lowest point.
"I'll co to the capital to et you now," said Gao Fei, ending the call and getting up to leave the villa.

Several hours later.
Gao Fei appeared at the Capital City airport.
"Mr. Gao," Yang Wei strode over, "I've booked a room at the hotel, let take you there now."
"Okay," nodded Gao Fei, following Yang Wei towards the airport exit.
"Mr. Gao?!" Just then, a woman's shout suddenly ca from behind.
Gao Fei paused in his stride, then turned around: "ng Xiaoyu?" A few ters away stood a woman with sunglasses, her long hair draped over her shoulders, slim figure, fair skin - if not ng Xiaoyu, who else could it be?
"Mr. Gao, it really is you!" ng Xiaoyu quickly walked over, followed by several n in black suits, looking like bodyguards. ng Xiaoyu was now a top-tier celebrity, worth over a hundred million; of course, she could afford to hire bodyguards.
These days, celebrities generally hire bodyguards for their own safety and to fend off overenthusiastic reporters. Reporters nowadays are too formidable; they swarm you the mont they see you, almost eager to shove the microphone into a star's mouth. Without bodyguards, celebrities could easily beco overwheld.
ng Xiaoyu opened her arms to embrace Gao Fei, but to her surprise, he dodged.
"What a coincidence," Gao Fei stepped back, creating so distance between them, then said with a smile, "I didn't expect to run into you here."
ng Xiaoyu retracted her arms, smiling like a blooming flower, "It really is! I was filming out of town a few days ago and just flew back to Capital City today. Didn't expect to bump into you. We really do have fate, Mr. Gao. What brings you to Capital City?
Sightseeing? Or here for business? Are you free tonight? I'd like to treat you to dinner!"
The bodyguards hired by ng Xiaoyu all looked surprised. They had been with ng Xiaoyu for a while and had so understanding of her temperant. ng Xiaoyu was a conservative girl, never striking up conversations with strange n and always deliberately keeping her distance from n she knew.
But today… ng Xiaoyu was unexpectedly throwing herself at a man, and even though it was unsuccessful, it amazed the bodyguards!
What was the story with this man who could make ng Xiaoyu so eager to please? It truly was unbelievable!
"I'm in Capital City for business," Gao Fei said, "I might not be free tonight..."
"Then how about tomorrow," ng Xiaoyu looked at Gao Fei expectantly, "you can't reject this ti."
"We'll see. If I'm free tomorrow, I'll call you."
"You have to keep your word! You must call tomorrow!"
...
At that mont, a bodyguard stepped forward and said, "Miss ng, the ti you arranged to et the director is almost upon us."
"Mr. Gao, I have sothing urgent and must go now, but you have to contact tomorrow," ng Xiaoyu said, casting a reluctant glance at Gao Fei, then left the airport under the protection of her bodyguards.
As soon as ng Xiaoyu left, Yang Wei ca over with a hehe chuckle, "If I'm not mistaken, that was ng Xiaoyu, the currently popular superstar, right? Mr. Gao, you're pretty lucky with ladies, even a big star like ng Xiaoyu holds you in high regard."
"You're thinking too much," Gao Fei scoffed, "ng Xiaoyu and I are just ordinary friends."
"Enough with the pretense, I saw everything clearly," laughed Yang Wei, "the way ng Xiaoyu looked at you was full of love. I can guarantee she definitely likes you! And she's head over heels! As for you... I'm a bit puzzled because you're too good at hiding it..."
"Let's drop this useless talk and get going, I've been on a plane for hours and I'm tired," Gao Fei said and then walked towards the exit of the airport.
"Hey, wait for …" Yang Wei quickly followed him.
A few minutes later.
A black Audi car slowly pulled away from the airport entrance, carrying two people: Gao Fei and Yang Wei.
"Mr. Gao, this isn't your first visit to Capital City, is it?" Yang Wei drove with caution while making conversation, a technique to liven up the atmosphere.
"No," Gao Fei shifted to find the most comfortable position, leaning back in his seat, "I've been here before."
"Capital City has really developed fast over the years," Yang Wei remarked, "It's not an exaggeration to describe it as changing with each passing day. Not to ntion anything else, just look at the skyscrapers on both sides of the road, one after another, each more magnificent than the last..."
"Capital City is the capital, the face of Huaxia, so of course it has to be built up nicely," Gao Fei comnted lightly.
"That makes sense," Yang Wei nodded, "Over a decade ago, I was just a poor kid carrying my luggage to Capital City to struggle for a living. I did a lot of work to survive, like bricklaying, carrying cent, delivering water, washing dishes… Those days were tough. Later on, with the support of a few benefactors, life gradually got better… Looking back now, it feels like a dream."
"I've had similar experiences," Gao Fei said, "I've also had my fair share of hardships for a living."
"You've done much better than . At your age, I was still moving bricks on a construction site, and you've already beco a billionaire. Compared to you, I'm just an ant," said Yang Wei.
Their conversation was filled with laughter and the journey was anything but lonely.
Capital City was indeed bustling, but who knew the bitterness hidden behind its glitz and glamour?
There's a term called "Beijing Drifter," describing those who co to Capital City to scramble for a living, with no fixed abode, leading a nomadic life. Sotis there's uncertainty from al to al, and when treated unfairly, one can only endure. How difficult is it to rise above it all?
