After lunch, they headed back to the beach and trained until late afternoon, followed by a group swim in the pool. Dennis lay on a lounge chair by himself, just watching Gary and Jason race each other in the water while the girls, including Daisy, hung out by the pool’s edge. Dennis kept studying his status, trying to find a strategy to use his skills and a way to manipulate his stats. He opened his talent skill nu to monitor the roster, and that’s when it finally clicked. The reason Daisy Number Six didn’t go berserk—besides being much stronger than him—was because she was already a registered mber of his system’s roster.
"Hmm... so if I add Gary, Olivia, Jason, and Kimberly into my team system, they won’t trigger the berserk status when I use my shout. But... should I really put them in the system? I feel a bit uneasy about doing that... I want my system to be for just and Daisy... after all, there are already seven Daisies alone," Dennis muttered to himself.
Ultimately, Dennis dropped the idea. He didn’t want to reveal the talent manager—which was undetectable by the Hunter Guild—to his friends; even Daisy only knew a fraction of what that talent could actually do. Then, he closed his interface and watched his friends, including Daisy, in the pool. Not long after, once they finished playing in the pool and evening began to fall, they headed back to their rooms to rest.
While in the room, Dennis lay on the bed and watched as Daisy transford, sprouting a pair of angel wings and an angel halo above her head. The one who had erged now was Daisy Number Seven. She imdiately jumped onto the bed to lie beside him, but when she hugged him, Dennis could feel her trembling. He turned to look at her face and saw that she looked extrely worried about sothing. Dennis turned and hugged her back.
"What’s wrong? Why are you shaking like this?" Dennis asked.
"Um... dear, sothing isn’t right in the villa next to this one... can you take there?" Number Seven asked.
"Huh... what do you an?" Dennis asked, confused.
"Sothing is calling ... they’re asking to be set free," Number Seven answered.
"What... sothing?" Dennis asked, getting even more confused.
"Co on, follow ," Number Seven urged as she got up, hopped off the bed, and pulled Dennis by the hand.
"Okay... stop pulling," Dennis replied, standing up.
Daisy put on her watch and disguised herself as Daisy Number One, but with her hair covering one side of her face. They left the room and walked downstairs. As they passed the living room where Gary and Olivia were sitting, Dennis simply told them they were heading out for so fresh air. Naturally, Gary and Olivia didn’t mind; they preferred staying in the villa to rest and had no desire to tag along. Once they exited the villa and walked through the gate, Daisy led Dennis along a road that sloped upward toward the fishing town to the north.
All along the way, Dennis kept glancing at Daisy Number Seven. She looked dead serious and focused, not saying a word while she held his hand.
"What is actually going on here? I want to ask, but I don’t feel like it," Dennis asked in his head.
Finally, Dennis just walked along the path, looking out toward the beach which had grown dark as night began to fall. Before long, they arrived at a single-story but tall building that looked like a rental villa. It appeared to be vacant, sitting dark and silent not far from Gary’s villa below. The entrance to the villa was surrounded by coconut and palm trees rustling in the wind, creating an atmosphere that gave Dennis a slight case of the creeps. As they passed through the unlocked gate, Dennis saw tall weeds choking a garden that clearly hadn’t been tended to in a long ti.
"Is this... an abandoned villa?" Dennis asked, looking around.
"Yes. Co on, dear, the ones calling are inside," Daisy answered, pulling on Dennis’s hand.
"Okay... can you at least explain what exactly is calling you?" Dennis asked.
"You’ll see soon. Just don’t let go of my hand," Daisy Number Seven replied.
When they reached the front door of the villa, Dennis tried to open it, but the door wouldn’t budge because it was locked. But then, "crack," Daisy Number Seven forced the handle until it broke off, and "kreeeeak," the door—which hadn’t been opened in a long ti—let out a terrifying groan as it swung wide.
"He... hey... you just forced the door open," Dennis muttered.
"It’s fine... this villa doesn’t belong to anyone," Daisy replied, pushing the door all the way open.
"But what if soone sees us and calls the police?" Dennis asked while looking around at the dark surroundings.
"Relax, it’s okay. Trust ," Daisy answered, walking inside casually while pulling Dennis along by his hand.
They stepped inside, and Dennis could see that the interior of the villa was completely empty. It was filthy, though; soda cans and paint tins were scattered across the floor, clearly visible even in the dark. Dirty curtains still hung from the windows, and the wallpaper was torn and peeling from age, leaving the walls behind it exposed. On top of that, the place had that unmistakable sll of an empty house—the scent of floorboards and dust—proving that no one had set foot in the villa for a very long ti.
"Hmm... this villa really is empty, and it looks like it’s been abandoned for a long ti. What exactly is even here?" Dennis asked, turning to look at Daisy.
But Daisy didn’t answer. Dennis turned to look at her and was shocked to see that Daisy’s eyes had turned entirely black, looking so terrifying it gave him the creeps and made him feel a sudden, gripping chill throughout his entire body. He realized that the Daisy standing next to him was sothing else entirely and definitely not normal, yet he didn’t let go of her hand as she gripped his tightly.
Suddenly, Daisy raised her hand. A brilliant light burst from her palm, forcing Dennis to shut his eyes for a mont because it was so blinding. When Dennis opened his eyes, he gasped in shock at how the atmosphere inside the villa had transford. The villa was now bright and filled with furniture as if it were back in its glory days, looking cozy and lived-in.
Dennis blinked and even rubbed his eyes; he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. But before he could even react, "blam," he heard the door behind him swing open. A white-haired man walked in, holding the hands of two cute and adorable little girls, who looked to be only 9 or 10 years old.
Then, a beautiful woman entered, accompanied by a young girl who looked to be only about 14 or 15 years old. Following behind them, three middle-aged n—who appeared to be quite famous—filed into the room. Afterward, the group sat on a comfortable-looking sofa right in front of Dennis and Daisy, who seed invisible to them.
They chatted happily while sipping drinks brought by the two won. After pouring the drinks, the two won sat on the n’s laps, as did the two little girls who sat on the laps of two of the n. And of course, the n’s hands began to do things that were simply unfit to be seen.
"He... hey... what is this?" Dennis asked, noticing sothing deeply abnormal about the way the n were acting toward the won and the two small children on their laps.
"This is what happened in this villa in the past... co here," Daisy Number Seven said. Her voice had grown heavy and distorted, sounding like two people speaking in unison.
Daisy Number Seven pulled Dennis over to look out the window. Dennis’s eyes went wide as he saw the coastline outside, making it clear that the villa was located on an island in the middle of the ocean. He imdiately whipped his head back to look at the people on the sofa, and only then did he understand the situation he was in.
What truly baffled him was the sensation that he had returned to the dinsion where he had been before. He studied the faces of the n in front of him, and there was no mistake—he knew who those n were, even if he couldn’t quite rember their nas.
"This... this is impossible," Dennis said.
"Yes, this villa cos from another dinsion, dear. You ca from this dinsion too, didn’t you? And that’s why you changed—because the version of you in this dinsion is far different from who you actually are," Daisy Number Seven said in that terrifying, double-layered voice.
Dennis turned to look at Daisy, who was now staring at him with eyes that were pitch black and hollow, accompanied by a wide, crescent-moon smile that felt completely wrong—inhuman. It made Dennis tremble with pure horror. Finally, Dennis opened his trembling lips.
"Who are you, really?" Dennis asked Daisy Number Seven.
"I am borrowing your wife to show you sothing. Look—this is what happened in your previous world, and it just so happens this villa is a piece of the dinsion you ca from, just like our school," Daisy Number Seven answered in that eerie, double-layered voice.
"You... you’re the one who called my wife?" Dennis asked.
"Exactly. I am the one who called your wife... I am asking for her help. Please, free this world that you think of as a ga from the darkness," Daisy Number Seven answered.
Dennis gasped. It’s finally clicked - He understood that three of the four n in front of him, who were currently committing those despicable acts against the minors with them, were the creators and developers of the ga Eclipse Saga that he had played.
