Everyone donned masks and night vision goggles, gripping their guns tightly as their hearts tensed to the extre.

Third Young Master Jun’s eyes under the mask radiated bloodthirsty coldness and perilous strange light, silently raised his sniper rifle, disengaged the safety, and with a chilling click, the tension escalated.

To co this far ant casting aside morals and compassion, as well as any consideration of whether it was right to kill this old man. On the blood-drenched path of Asura, weathered and fallen to hell, there was no turning back. What occupied his mind now was only the desire to protect the sliver of brightness that had appeared in his life, the only warmth he yearned for and couldn’t bear to part with—Ye Lu.

Even if it ant staining his hands with innocent blood, even if it ant becoming a demonic ghost of hell, he would not hesitate!

In Third Young Master Jun’s eyes, there was only blood red.

Boom—a loud gunshot struck the windshield of the leading car. The powerful and fierce firepower hitting the hard bulletproof glass exploded with a terrifying noise.

Piercing the peaceful night sky, the bloodshed followed the gunshot, tearing open the curtain!

A curtain to a brutal tragedy.

Whose tragedy it was blood silently in sorrow, within the night, the wind, the gunfire, the blood-stained scene...

Third Young Master Jun’s hands precisely and coldly operated the sniper rifle, quickly leading the special rcenaries in their rush down the hill toward the highway amid the swirling gunpowder smoke, while countless bullets fired at the heads of those peeking out to shoot, creating a bloody frenzy.

It was a chaotic and insane battle, one that even he couldn’t clearly recall the details of.

Because at that mont, all focus was heightened, unable to see anything but the target. Everything happened in a brief span of ti, like the fast yet slow fragnted scenes in a Western blockbuster.

Scene after scene accompanied by gunshots, explosive bangs, and sparks, bullets raining down like droplets, the dark starless night, the heart oppressed to the limit... Everything created an intensely surreal feeling.

The howling wind swept past, carrying dust from the ground and the scent of blood in the air.

Everywhere was a tumult of gunfire, violent impacts, the shrill friction of bullets on tal and glass, the anguished screams of lives being reaped.

All these sounds lded into a world of slaughter.

...

Ye Lu sat in Ling Yan’s car, looking at the night outside, the speeding vehicle, and the trees beside the road flitting by like dark, grim specters.

Her heart suddenly felt an oppressive sensation, a strong unease that rose without warning and engulfed her entirely, leaving her panicked and terrified.

Could it be that sothing had happened to Third Young Master Jun? Why was she so unsettled?

She abruptly grabbed her phone and dialed Third Young Master Jun’s number, but it was turned off. Ye Lu’s face turned even paler, the dreadful premonition about the batch of arms making her exceedingly anxious.

"What’s wrong, are you feeling unwell?" Ling Yan turned his head to ask with concern.

Ye Lu shook her head.

Suddenly, Ling Yan’s phone rang with the sound of a ssage. He casually glanced at the screen but his expression changed dramatically upon reading the content. Stomping on the clutch, he brought the car to an abrupt halt with a screeching friction on the ground.

"What happened?" Ye Lu, seeing his extrely agitated expression, quickly asked.

Ling Yan’s pupils constricted to the extre, yet he said nothing and hastily dialed a number. However, the chanical voice on the phone indicated that the call could not be connected.

Soon after, another call ca in; it was Ling Xiu, who had rushed off the plane just before takeoff, his voice taut with palpable fear trembling through it.

"Grandfather can’t be contacted, he’s missing. He might have been attacked."

Ling Yan’s face turned ashen, he suddenly spun the steering wheel, slamd on the accelerator, and sped off through the wrong lane, a move made in sheer madness.
