"Don’t worry, the Ling’s Family ho is usually too quiet. My grandfather seldom lives here, so he’ll be delighted to see that I have friends coming over to liven things up. Besides, this is the safest place. Nobody dares to monitor it, not even Third Young Master Jun. Not in his wildest dreams would he think that I dared bring you here."
"Grandfather?"
Ling Yan looked sowhat lancholy: "Truthfully, I’m not, by definition, a bona fide mber of the Ling family. My mother is my grandfather’s eldest daughter. I had an uncle, but he and my aunt lost their lives during a mission, leaving behind only one cousin. With so few family mbers around, my grandfather adopted into the Ling family."
Ye Lu knew that they were from a prestigious family of military officers. She hadn’t realized that the life of a soldier could be so dangerous, her uncle and aunt were both dead.
The Ling family was said to be very powerful, but being so honorable yet thinly dispersed, their lives lacked warmth.
"I’ve arranged for your child and mother to be brought over."
Upon arriving at the Ling’s Family residence, one could see soldiers checking everyone from several miles away, carrying guns. They had inspection points for almost every kiloter, which were very strict. Ye Lu was in awe; it was undoubtedly very safe. But could common people live in a place with such heavy security?
When they finally entered the grand mansion of the Ling family, it was an elegant, quaint house with a profound scholarly atmosphere.
But today it seed a bit lively.
"Brother Ling, you’ve returned. Second Young Master has also returned," said the butler anxiously.
Ling Yan frowned and quickly walked in. The hall was in complete chaos. Dozens of young n and won were reveling, their behavior wildly inappropriate in such a bookish setting.
Among them was a young man in his twenties, lounging on a couch with the buttons of his delicate shirt undone and a few crimson lip prints on it.
He was extraordinarily attractive, his dark hair disheveled, eyes overflowing with a drunken glint. A feral grin spread across his face as he clutched two hot and spicy beauties, feeding each other drinks.
His behavior epitomized a spoiled, governnt-fed, second-generation rich kid.
"Ling Xiu, what are you doing?" Ling Yan’s voice beca stern, a deep rumble that silenced the entire hall of mad revelers.
The mont they saw Ling Yan’s angry expression, they beca quiet. So of the younger people called out in an awkward but slightly reverent voice, "Brother Ling."
"You all go ho!"
At his command, the young n and won quickly gathered their things, glancing at Ling Xiu.
"Xiu, we’re leaving," they said before leaving one by one.
"Brother, you’re really no fun," said Ling Xiu with half-lidded eyes and a lazy expression.
"Whatever madness you choose to engage in outside, whatever gas you play, I can’t control that. But don’t bring these people ho. If you associate with these spoilt rich kids, what will happen to your future?"
"I’m not bothering about reputation anyway since I won’t beco a politician," Ling Xiu indifferent shrugs before turning his gaze on Ye Lu, "Ah, it’s rare that you brought a woman ho. How precious. What a lovely guest."
"She’s my friend; drop your worthless attitude," Ling Yan retorted, unamused.
"Don’t worry, I won’t swallow her."
"Even if you wanted to, you couldn’t swallow . You’d choke," Ye Lu retorted.
Ling Xiu was indeed taken aback. He examined her carefully, his eyes lingering on her belly, and expressed his disappointnt, "A rose with thorns, and a fruit has ford. Such a pity. Who is she?"
"She’s related to Third Young Master Jun."
Ling Xiu’s eyes sparkled, "The Third Young Master Jun? Tsk Tsk, Brother, you’ve really brought a troubleso issue ho. But I, for one, like joining in the fun. I heard about the wedding between the Jun and the Shang families today. It was ruined by a fierce woman. Could that woman be her!"
