However, in that mont, thinking back to the European classic films she had seen, and the noble won in them, she rembered that they all seed to behave in this way.
The Third Young Master at her side raised an eyebrow in surprise.
Then the queen strikes up a conversation with her, praising her as a brave and independent woman, a heroic mother. Ye Lu is taken aback, she never proclaid herself as a hero. Yet, she sees Hai Lanse, standing not too far away, raising his glass in congratulations to her.
She suddenly understood that her eting with the queen was all thanks to Hai Lanse.
Very soon, the queen leaves surrounded by a crowd of followers.
Ye Lu relaxes, looks for Hai Lanse, and asks: "Was this your doing? Why?"
"I disliked the woman that was with you earlier. The queen’s hand is not for anyone dirty to hold." Hai Lanse looked scornfully at Bai Sijia.
"But you scared to death, I almost embarrassed myself." If she hadn’t rembered in ti, she wouldn’t have known how to get off the stage.
"Life needs to have so surprises, doesn’t it?"
"This was a fright."
"Co on, let’s go dance. Compared to chatting with those boring people, it’s more enjoyable to dance, even though dancing can also be boring." Hai Lanse takes her hand.
Ye Lu quickly says: "I’m pregnant."
"It’s just a waltz, a very gentle social dance, there’s no problem!" Hai Lanse’s eyes twinkle.
The two step onto the dance floor, and as the music begins, they dance in harmonious tune, chatting and laughing, surprisingly drawing everyone’s attention.
ThirdYoung Master Jun watches from the side, his cryptic eyes unchanging, casually sipping wine from his glass, seeming as if he’s watching a stranger.
Bai Sijia cos over, forcing a smile and says: "King, shouldn’t we go dance as well?"
"I don’t feel like dancing." He replies lazily.
Bai Sijia looks at Ye Lu, who is laughing especially wholeheartedly in the center of the dance floor, and feels more aggrieved. Even though Jun has abandoned Ye Lu, his attitude towards her hasn’t changed one bit. This man’s heart is thoroughly ruthless and cold.
She simply couldn’t guess, what on earth was he thinking?
Feeling annoyed, she walks off to get a drink. On her way, she runs into Ye Lu’s son, Ye Yuan, who is fanning her with a court fan, smiling cheekily: "I noticed you’re quite upset, let fan you to help cool you down."
"Little brat." Bai Sijia gazes at his smug little face, and impulsively pushes him away.
Ye Yuan falls on his butt and starts bawling, drawing the attention of those around them, who are now casting accusatory glances at Bai Sijia.
"I- I just pushed him gently." Bai Sijia is infuriated, sensing that the kid did it on purpose.
"You called a brat and pushed , you are a bad woman." Ye Yuan looks wronged and pitiful. His naturally cute face only gains more sympathy as he cries.
He jumps up from the ground, and begins to tug and hit Bai Sijia’s clothes.
Bai Sijia is furious but, with many eyes on her, she dares not retaliate, lest she appear even more guilty.
Hearing the commotion, Ye Lu leaves Hai Lanse and rushes over, pretends to comfort Ye Yuan: "There, there my baby, don’t cry. Rember, you’re a little man, you mustn’t argue with won."
Then she looks up at Bai Sijia: "Even if your apology just now was barely sincere, you shouldn’t take your anger out on my child. You’re so petty."
Bai Sijia grinds her teeth, glares at them, and walks off.
Ye Lu holds onto her son, and looks at him sideways: "Alright, spill it, what’s your ga?"
