As the saying goes, "accept a man’s favor, accept his control," since he ate Jun Yiyi’s things, he wouldn’t be able to refuse her when she asked for help in the future.
Mr. Wubai chuckled mischievously, "Dear Miss Yiyi, are you inviting on a date?"
Yiyi tilted her head slightly, blinking her eyes.
"Well then, dear Mr. Wubai, do you accept this young lady’s invitation?"
"How could I possibly refuse a date with such a beautiful girl; it’s an honor!" Mr. Wubai laughed heartily, taking her hand, "Looks like I’ve got good fortune tonight, let’s go, off to the date!"
Yiyi’s hand was held by him, which should have made her feel a bit uneasy, but his expression was so natural and open, without any hint of ambiguity, purely like long-ti friends.
She was originally soone who didn’t sweat the small stuff, so she let herself relax. Since returning from Eagle Country, she hasn’t been in the best of moods.
Though she tried hard to imrse herself in her studies, it was rely an escape. Deep down, she felt mildly repressed and gloomy, whereas Mr. Wubai was a friend who could relieve her tension and was positively optimistic, wiping away her previous depression, and made her feel at ease.
"Haha, it’s just the two of us bold enough to stand up the queen, let’s go, go, go!"
After only a few steps, as they reached the corner of the garden, they unexpectedly ran into soone.

The radiant smile on Yiyi’s face froze the mont she saw that man’s face, and she looked at him in surprise. His deep, dark eyes stared at her intensely, with a flicker of fla and anger hidden in the depths.
Yet, he forcibly suppressed it, pretending to be calm and indifferent, which only made the aura around him colder.
It was Helian Ling Kong, and Yiyi had mixed emotions. Just at the banquet earlier, she had only made a brief appearance and hadn’t even gone inside, avoiding crowded areas, as she didn’t want to see a particular person.
She left early just to avoid running into him.
There was actually no reason to feel guilty because she didn’t feel she had done anything wrong.
But now, being fixed under his sharp gaze that seed filled with intense questioning, she suddenly felt a shiver and very uncomfortable.
Half of Ling Kong’s handso face was shadowed by the darkness of the trees, the dim light making his skin appear especially pale, with lips that seed colorless. His cold gaze slowly moved from her stuck smile to her hands.
Seeing their joined hands, his dark pupils constricted as if pricked by a needle, his heart pierced sharply.
The silent anger that had brewed for over a month, suppressed in his heart, almost erupted like a volcano that would destroy the world. But his pride, his dignity forced it down like a crust of stone, desperately suppressing it.
Yiyi felt his gaze like sharp needles pricking her, and instinctively she withdrew her hand from Mr. Wubai’s grasp, feeling awkward.
"Quite a surprise." Helian Ling Kong rely sneered, his gaze full of sarcasm as he looked at Yiyi. "You’re quite the casual woman, changing partners within a month. That poor man who professed his love for you so publicly last ti surely didn’t expect to be toyed by a heartless and fickle woman like you."
Yiyi’s face went pale, showing a sowhat embarrassed expression.
