Ling Kong suddenly rembered sothing, and everything beca clear to him.
So ti ago, he received a call from Uncle Jun.
Uncle Jun obviously knew it was him who saved him. After all, such a smart and perceptive man couldn’t possibly not suspect the sudden appearance of the so-called dicine during the surgery. He must have been clear about the whole affair, and Dr. K couldn’t have kept it from him, nor could he.
So he knew about his situation.
Uncle Jun said that in the future, no matter what he needed help with, he should just ask, and he’d be willing to give his life in return.
Then he inquired about his physical condition.
This ti he went to the diterranean, but didn’t take Yiyi, probably intending to leave Yiyi by his side to take care of him.
"So, are you not willing to live here?" He nervously looked at her.
"Not really, Uncle Ji and Auntie have been very nice to , and so have you. I’m quite happy here; it’s just that I’m upset they left behind. But I want to give them a lesson. They left , and after so ti, when they’re not used to not having around to make noise, they’ll miss terribly, day and night, so much that they’ll lose a lot of weight. When that ti cos, I’ll just look down on them a bit." The little girl was smug and full of herself.
Ling Kong found it amusing, but thinking about it, indeed, once you get used to this little girl, if one day she’s not around to cause a ruckus, it would feel quite unnatural.
If she had followed Uncle Jun and them to the diterranean, it would have been him missing her instead.
"If you really want to visit your mom and dad, I’ll take you there."
"That’s good. But why haven’t you co to see these past months? The day Dad had surgery, you actually left. You don’t know how happy we were later; Uncle K suddenly found a new drug, and Dad was saved, turning danger into safety. I was so excited and wanted to share it with you, but you weren’t there, not caring about my dad at all." The little girl looked a bit angry.
Ling Kong smiled wryly. At that ti, he was lying in the intensive care unit, unconscious and unable to visit her.
But as long as she was happy, it was worth it for him to save Uncle Jun.
"Sorry, sorry, don’t be angry; I won’t leave you alone next ti."
"Hmph, I’ll forgive you then! But, Brother Ling Kong, are you sick? Your face is so pale, and you’ve lost a lot of weight after not seeing you for a few months." Jun Yiyi widened her eyes, reached out her little hand to touch his thin face, showing a look of concern.
"It’s nothing, just feeling unwell and needing to rest for a while." To save Uncle Jun, his body was also damaged, quite weakened, and residual effects from his earlier days in the lab flared up more severely. His mother was very worried, insisting he lie in bed for a few months to recover properly.
He only recently started to recover a bit.
"Then Yiyi will wipe your sweat and take care of you." Jun Yiyi imdiately beca very obedient, "When I used to take care of great-grandma, she recovered quickly, and so did Dad. With Yiyi by your side, you’ll get better fast."
Ling Kong happily ruffled her cheeks, "Well, then I must thank you, little lucky star."
And so, Jun Yiyi happily stayed at the Ji Family. Uncle Ji and Aunt Mu treated her well, and her parents and brother called her every day. Everyone catered to her wishes, allowing her to live like a little princess, showered in love, happiness, and joy.
Until she t soone.
That day, a couple brought their daughter, a beautiful young lady, to visit Uncle Ji. It was said this couple was very important, with high-ranking positions in the Ministry of Defense or sothing; anyhow, they were big shots, handling the national orders for the Ji Corporation.
