Ye Lu’s heart jolted, her sharp gaze landing on the figure behind him—it was Shadow!
Rumor had it that Shadow was the most fearso assassin in the *new* organization, highly vigilant with a level of professional expertise bordering on terrifying.
She couldn’t help but feel uneasy that this keen assassin might sense sothing amiss and ruin her painstakingly crafted plans!
However, there was no turning back now—she could only adapt as the scenario unfolded.
"You’re quite bold, daring to arrange a eting with ." The Don’s murky eyes glinted with sharpness as he appraised Ye Lu’s composed, fearless deanor. He seed mildly surprised—this woman carried a certain gravitas, poised and unyielding.
That ability to face the storm head-on suggested she indeed had the courage to spar with him.
Ye Lu curled her lips into a half-smile, her expression aningful. "In my eyes, the Don is nothing more than a man, and as far as n go, what’s there to fear?"
"Ha, what a bold declaration, girl!" the Don scoffed.
Ye Lu glanced at the opposing lineup and said coolly, "Since this is a secret negotiation, our attendants needn’t co inside. Let them stay here."
The Don naturally had no desire for more people to learn about the secrets Ye Lu held against him, so he nodded in agreent.
"To ensure mutual safety, neither party may bring weapons inside. Both sides should conduct inspections," Ye Lu stated, her tone layered with caution.
The Don agreed, his lips curling into a trace of mockery.
Weapons were rely external tools—true masters could turn themselves into the ultimate weapon.
