Forget it, forget it. His thoughts are a ss right now, better to head back and find Third Young Master.

Returning to the hotel where they were staying, Third Young Master Jun had also co back. He stood on the balcony bathed in sunlight, gazing at the distant sky. His expression was calm, a wine glass in hand, filled with crimson liquid that shimred with a ghostly radiance.

An atmosphere of solemnity perated the air, almost resembling the sacred aura of a cathedral, making one feel reverent.

Lie Feng suddenly understood—Third Young Master was waiting for him, waiting for his answer.

A storm of emotions surged within him as he recalled the events of the past, and at last, he made his decision.

"Have you chosen your stance?"

Third Young Master Jun’s commanding voice, like tal striking stone, pierced Lie Feng’s ears, yet he didn’t turn around.

Lie Feng stared at his silhouette, rembering the ti when he first joined him. Back then, he had fervently asked: Have you chosen your path? Once you step onto it, there’s no turning back!

Regret, no regret—ha!

In the end, he had to choose a path he wouldn’t regret, to follow the one he most wanted to follow.

A surge of hot blood rushed to Lie Feng’s chest: "I’ve chosen."

"Will you betray midway this ti?"

"No, this ti, I will follow through with unwavering resolve, unto death without regret!"

"Good." Third Young Master Jun’s upright figure rose as he stepped forward, finally letting out a hearty laugh. He picked up another wine glass and offered it to him.

Lie Feng felt conflicted and didn’t take the glass imdiately: "Third Young Master, can you still trust ?"

"Lie Feng, I’ve never lost faith in you. Otherwise, you wouldn’t still be alive today!"

Lie Feng, a grown man, suddenly felt his eyes redden—his emotions tumultuous and laden with guilt. He hadn’t expected that deep down, Third Young Master had always treated him as he did in the beginning. It was he himself who had betrayed that trust.

From this day forth, be it a mountain of blades or a sea of flas, he wouldn’t falter.

All for the sake of this steadfast trust.

"Thank you, Third Young Master." Lie Feng took the wine glass.

The two n clinked glasses, finally eting each other’s gaze with a smile—a single smile to dissolve all enmity.

Then Lie Feng explained to him what had transpired today at the Godfather’s place.

Third Young Master Jun’s gaze oscillated, his dark eyes concealing a profound glimr: "For the Godfather to trust completely is impossible. His suspicion instead works to my advantage—it allows to maneuver. Real and fake, fake and real, it all cos down to knowing the human mind."

"Strangely enough, Shadow actually spoke on our behalf. Third Young Master, do you think we should draw him in?"

Third Young Master Jun was equally puzzled. He’d never had any dealings with Shadow, and this ti Shadow’s intervention baffled him, no matter how much he tried to make sense of it.

After all, Shadow was the person most loyal to the Godfather among them all. Betrayal on his part seed utterly inconceivable.

Who could possibly have the power to make him betray the Godfather? It certainly wasn’t him shaking Shadow’s conviction.

"Though I don’t know his motives, let’s hold off for now. Soone like him, solitary and unconventional by nature—if he does have the intention to betray, it doesn’t an he’s willing to cooperate with us. Besides, we’re already at the final critical mont. One wrong move and it could disrupt the entire plan. I don’t want to complicate things further."

He truly didn’t believe Shadow would betray.

Lie Feng nodded, his emotions both heavy and stirred. From Third Young Master’s tone, he understood that the entire sche had already been set into motion—it was just a matter of waiting for that mont to arrive. Whether victory or defeat, everything would soon co to an end.

"Third Young Master, when will it be?"

Third Young Master Jun coldly uttered three words: "Five days later."

"Alright, I’ll make the preparations."

"Oh, and install this onto the computer and ensure the connection works." Third Young Master Jun handed Lie Feng a small device.

Lie Feng hesitated: "Are you monitoring soone?"

"Yes." A trace of concealed worry shadowed Third Young Master Jun’s brow.
