Yiren secretly chuckled to herself, "Ye Lu, oh Ye Lu, this ti, you’ll lose more than just so skin even if you survive."

The malicious glint in Jun Shi’s eyes grew even brighter as he took the opportunity to tarnish her reputation in front of everyone.

He claid that before Ye Lu was acknowledged by the Hua Family in their dostic circles, she had deceitfully seduced both of his sons, gotten pregnant to force a marriage, and caused his two sons to turn against each other. After stepping into the Jun Family’s door, she acted abhorrently toward the elders of the Jun Family.

In secret, she desperately attempted to seize the Jun Family assets, sched against him—the father-in-law—and committed every kind of evil deed imaginable.

He painted her as a venomous, deeply manipulative person.

The guests present were both stunned and shocked. Although they had heard so rumors from the dia before, hearing these accusations firsthand made them far more appalled. Such a woman had no trace of a noble family’s elegance, resembling a rat crawling out from the gutter, willing to resort to any ans to climb up in the world.

Yet Ye Lu stood calmly on the stage, silently listening, not uttering a single word.

"Why aren’t you refuting? Are you not even going to say a word? It looks like you really have a guilty conscience. Could it be that all of this is true?" Yiren couldn’t help but sneer.

Everyone present looked at Ye Lu, their eyes filled with anticipation, waiting for her explanation, wondering how she would respond.

But Ye Lu didn’t offer any defense. Instead, she calmly looked straight at Jun Shi and said, "Are you done talking?"

"Hmph, and what if I am? Are you so stunned by my words that you don’t even dare to rebut?" Jun Shi sneered with venom.

Ye Lu raised her chin coldly and exuded an air of unyielding calm that filled the room. "First, I see no need to respond to your malicious slander. Second, this is a public event. If you lack sha, I won’t stoop to your level. Third, if you’ve finished speaking, then please leave. As a guest, you were welcod at this event, but your egregious behavior at this gathering is sothing I will not tolerate! Security, escort him out!"

Everyone present stared at Ye Lu in shock. They had thought she would swallow her grievances, quietly endure the accusations out of guilt, and prove herself soft-hearted and weak.

No one had expected her fierce and resolute response, which not only carried authority but displayed strong leadership qualities. She remained courteous while making it clear she wouldn’t allow anyone to trample on her dignity.

Many secretly admired her deanor, feeling that her composure and elegance were fitting of an heir to the Hua Family. She handled adversity calmly, steadfastly, and with poise.

A few security guards barged into the scene.

Jun Shi was caught off guard by her ruthless decisiveness. His face darkened, a distinctly unpleasant expression taking over.

He was just about to scold her for disrespecting her elders.

Suddenly, several Eastern-looking individuals stepped into the room. Their presence was abrupt, and their sharp gazes and swift movents toward Jun Shi drew the crowd’s attention. Everyone started guessing who they might be.

"Who are you people? How dare you barge into the event?" Yiren, unhappy with Ye Lu stealing the spotlight with her earlier speech, imdiately attempted to portray her own authority and strength as the Hua Family’s heir, though her tone betrayed a lack of confidence.

The newcors swiftly pulled out identification, saying, "We are police officers from D Country. We’ve obtained permission from your state governnt to apprehend this individual and escort him back to our country."

Yiren froze, puzzled. Police from D Country? Why were they here to arrest Jun Shi?

Jun Shi was furious too, glaring viciously at them. "Do you know who I am? What nonsense are you spouting? Why would you arrest ?"

The man leading the group, who appeared to be the head of the task force, gave Jun Shi a cold look.

"Mr. Jun, please cooperate. You are accused of embezzling public funds from the Jun Group, misappropriating company assets, bribing governnt officials, violating both civil and economic laws. Additionally, you are suspected of murdering Ye Wanli. Preditated murder is a criminal offense. Please co with us!"
